Chapter 158: Black Satoshi and Pikachu go all out, defeat Lugia!

Pika!

Pikachu fell in front of Ash, and his body suddenly felt a sharp pain—an unavoidable side effect of using Crazy Volt.

It panted lightly, its wounds clearly visible, yet its aura grew increasingly intense and scorching.

Ash also grunted in pain, clearly feeling Pikachu's suffering. Their wave guide was tightly linked, so Pikachu's injuries directly reflected onto Ash.

Their wave guides overlapped, meaning Ash was effectively battling Lugia as well.

Seeing the situation, Brock's face lit up with joy.

He noticed that this Lugia, compared to the one they encountered in the Orange Islands, clearly lacked sufficient battle experience.

For Ash and Pikachu, this was undoubtedly good news, as they could use this to find an opportunity to defeat Lugia.

"Crazy Volt is indeed very effective against Lugia."

Brock analyzed, "Based on the current situation, Ash, you are very likely to win this battle. The key is to maintain this momentum and keep pressing Lugia."

Little Lugia stared, its big eyes fixed on the two figures on the battlefield, forgetting to blink; the earlier battle could be said to have captivated it.

【Ailan: Surprisingly gaining the upper hand, Black Satoshi's Pikachu actually managed to break through Lugia's Water Cannon!】

【Yaxuan: Although it hit Lugia's weak point, Lugia could still hold on, but it's hard to say for Ash and Pikachu—due to the wave guide boost, whatever damage Pikachu takes, Black Satoshi also suffers the same; I don't know if they can endure it.】

【Nazi: Using the wave guide like this puts too much strain on the body.】

【Gradelia: Stamina should hold up, but facing Lugia, we need a quick victory; dragging it out, Black Satoshi will likely lose.】

Everyone stared intently at the Black Light Screen, the atmosphere on the battlefield becoming increasingly tense and scorching.

In the Black World, Lugia let out a cry and then soared high on its wings.

As it powerfully flapped its wings, strong whirlwinds swept out from its whole body, as if trying to swallow everything around it.

"Pikachu, let's go too!"

Seeing Lugia continually raising its energy, Ash's eyes blazed— the opponent was about to get serious!

They too had to give it their all!

"Pika~chu!"

Pikachu slowly stood up, hands on its waist, its whole body bursting with strong electric current. These currents matched the intensity of when it used Crazy Volt, tightly coiling around it.

Moreover, Pikachu's surroundings were filled with crackling electric currents, like an electric field. This field continually suppressed the whirlwinds Lugia had summoned, making it hard for them to break through, and under the current's pressure they showed signs of dissipating.

At this moment, both sides on the battlefield had entered a white-hot battle state, a fierce showdown about to unfold.

"Step back a bit!"

Xiaoxia pulled Little Lugia and the Poké Balls along; both sides were about to get serious, and this formation would really risk hurting them.

"Pikachu, Electric Flash!"

As soon as the words left his mouth, Pikachu's silhouette vanished, only a gust of air visible racing along the path toward Lugia.

"Hey oh!"

Lugia had just seen Pikachu's silhouette disappear, and the next time it saw Pikachu, it was Pikachu slamming into its face like a cannonball, striking it hard.

Boom!

A muffled sound rang out; Lugia felt a huge force strike its body, and even though it quickly flapped its wings to steady itself, it still flew a distance before stabilizing.

"100,000 Volts!"

Ash, breathless, shouted loudly.

Having just steadied itself, Lugia saw a thick bolt of electricity shooting toward it and hastily raised its wings to shield its front.

"Is this Ash's true strength?"

Brock, watching from the side, felt his blood boil; even as a spectator he sensed an intense pressure.

Little Lugia's gaze remained fixed on the two figures, its eyes flickering, unknown what it was thinking.

Not only did Brock feel Ash's pressure, but everyone watching felt Black Satoshi's pressure; this sudden surge of power actually managed to suppress Lugia, and Lugia still found it hard to resist.

Come on!

Ash looked at the Black Light Screen's Black Satoshi and Pikachu; he was extremely excited, having himself and Charizard defeated Articuno, so Black Satoshi and Pikachu must defeat Lugia.

Thinking about it, Ash grew so excited his face turned red.

"Pikachu, we can do just like the Black Light Screen—no matter if it's Lugia or anyone else, we'll beat them!"

Ash's gaze was firm as he looked at Pikachu.

"Pika Pika!"

Pikachu earnestly nodded; it had this determination!

Lugia's wings unfurled with dazzling white light, and the aura of its Swallow Return was breathtaking.

Pikachu used Shadow Clone to draw Lugia's attention, then all employed Electric Ball, Electric Net, Iron Tail, and wildly attacked Lugia.

Lugia spun itself directly, firing an air vortex that obliterated Pikachu's Shadow Clones.

Pikachu was also sucked in, taking Lugia's Swallow Return.

"Pikachu, unleash Crazy Volt at maximum power!"

Ash grunted, his wave guide surging forth like a spring, turning into a strong air wave spreading outward.

At the same time, Pikachu mobilized all its electric energy; yellow‑blue currents wrapped tightly around its whole body, forming a dazzling electric light.

This move would decide the outcome.

Lugia looked at Pikachu enveloped in the yellow‑blue current, then summoned its full dragon power to coil around its body; this terrifying energy completely enveloped it, making it look like an enraged giant dragon. Thereafter, Lugia dove at astonishing speed toward Pikachu.

This was the final move; everyone widened their eyes, held their breath, and watched this scene.

Victory or defeat hinged on this move!

Boom!

The two sides collided, a huge sound rang out as electric and dragon energies clashed, shooting straight up into the sky.

However, electric-type energy was gradually devouring dragon-type energy, bit by bit consuming it.

Boom!

A tremendous boom rang out, and a shockwave burst from between them.

Lugia gradually fell behind, the electric current slowly eroding its body, after which Pikachu slammed straight into its head.

An irresistible huge force sent it flying backward.

Lugia slammed into a distant boulder and collapsed to the ground.

Did they win?

Did Pikachu win?

Seeing the situation before them, the crowd exclaimed in surprise.

Seeing this, Cynthia broke into a bright smile.

Phew!

Seeing Lugia fall, Ash and Pikachu both breathed a sigh of relief, then instantly lost all strength, their bodies swaying, unable to stand.
