Chapter 159: Little Lugia Joins the Team!

Ding! The correct answer to this round's rewarded question is Xiluona.

Congratulations, Xiluona, you've obtained the ancient document of the Sinnoh region.

Jiadelia: Nana, you really picked the right one, the reward is... the ancient document of the Sinnoh region.

Wow, what a great reward!

Xiluona: Mm-hmm, great reward!

Xiluona was sitting in her spacious, bright study, sunlight streaming through the window onto her desk.

Huh?

The correct answer's reward?

Suddenly, a heavy large book appeared out of thin air on her desk; on its cover, the Sinnoh region's tectonic plate pattern was lifelike, as if containing endless history and secrets, exuding an ancient and mysterious aura.

Xiluona was startled by the sudden change, but curiosity drove her to reach out and open the large book.

The pages were yellowed, as if bearing the vicissitudes of time.

She flipped through page after page, the shock in her eyes growing stronger.

The book not only detailed the development history of the Sinnoh region from ancient times to the present, but also depicted many long-circulated myths and legends; for her, as the Sinnoh region Champion, these contents undoubtedly hold immense research value and historical significance.

This ancient document is of great help to me!

After a quick skim, Xiluona gently closed the book and turned her gaze once more to the black light screen in the corner of the study.

The corners of her mouth lifted slightly, her eyes sparkling with delight. This ancient document not only gave her a deeper understanding of Sinnoh's history, but also provided new direction and inspiration for her research.

I still need to thank Ash!

When Ash comes to the Sinnoh region, I'll properly thank him then!

What if he doesn't come?

Xiluona's eyes flickered as she thought about how to repay Ash.

I heard Ash is currently participating in the Mialeishi tournament; why not wait until he finishes the match and then go thank him in Pallet Town?

That's settled then!

【Dandi: Black Satoshi really beat Lugia! The energy Pikachu just unleashed was incredibly strong; he's quite skilled at training Pokémon.】

【Qibana: Hmm, even a tiny Pokémon like Pikachu can be trained this strong; it's not just the boost from Wave Guide and Rainbow-Colored Feather, mainly it's the bond between Pikachu and Black Satoshi—that's the main reason Pikachu became strong.】

【Ash: So strong! He really beat Lugia!!!】

【Xiba: Haha, I'm really looking forward to it—Black Kenan told Black Satoshi he won the Silver Cup, so he can challenge the Elite Four; if Black Satoshi wins the championship, he'll definitely challenge me, and I'd love to see the battle between my Black World self and Black Satoshi.】

【Yulongdu: Don't laugh when the time comes!】

"Ash, Pikachu!"

Seeing Ash about to collapse, Xiaoxia rushed over to support him.

Ash weakly shook his head, forcing a smile: "It's fine, just a bit tired; I'll be okay after a rest."

Brock then held Pikachu in his arms, carefully feeding it some Energy Blocks to help it regain strength.

Xiaoxia looked at Ash, eyes full of worry: "You're pushing yourself too hard—does using Wave Guide at high intensity really not put much strain on your body?"

Ash shook his head and looked at the recovered Lugia.

It slowly approached Ash and Pikachu with Little Lugia, its eyes revealing a previously unseen complex emotion. For it, this was the first time engaging in such an intense battle with a trainer, and also the first time tasting the bitterness of defeat. Yet after this battle, it seemed to have gained a new understanding of Ash.

It gently nodded at Ash, as if expressing respect or gratitude, and also told him about Little Lugia.

Little Lugia had hardly left its side since birth; when it went out before, it left Little Lugia on this island, and being rather timid, fearing ill-intentioned people might snatch it, it stayed here to play, often with some Water-type Pokémon.

Knowing that Ash fought those evil organizations for Little Lugia and even defeated and drove them away,

When mentioning the recent battle, Lugia's gaze softened.

It had just battled Ash, and from that fight it sensed the bond between Ash and Pikachu.

Ash treats his Pokémon very well; Pikachu, as his capable partner, gives it all, constantly pushing its limits solely to secure victory for Ash in battle.

Furthermore, through Ash's Wave Guide, Lugia sensed his true emotions, as well as that silver feather; likely a fellow kin acknowledged him, bestowing upon him this silver feather containing the origin.

So even his own kind acknowledged him; combined with my own observation and testing of Ash, Lugia became more convinced that Ash is a trustworthy partner. More importantly, Little Lugia feels deep affection and reliance on Ash, always liking to stick by his side.

This allows Lugia to more confidently entrust Little Lugia to Ash for upbringing, hoping that under Ash's care it can stand on its own.

Huh?

Should I entrust Little Lugia to Ash (me)?

Xiaoxia, Brock, and Ash were all shocked, never expecting Lugia to make such a decision!

"Kwu ku ku o~"

Little Lugia excitedly lunged at Ash, its eyes full of expectation fixed tightly on him.

Ash lowered his gaze to look at Little Lugia, a flicker of surprise crossing his eyes, but soon replaced by tenderness as he softly asked: "Do you really want to travel with me?"

Little Lugia nodded repeatedly without hesitation, confirming its wish.

Having stayed here this long, it can totally go out.

Ash smiled, extending his hand to Little Lugia, saying: "Well, Little Lugia, please take care of me!"

Seeing this, Little Lugia smiled even brighter, extending its tiny claw to lightly touch Ash's hand, as if in this moment they forged a deep friendship and trust.

Ash turned to the observing Lugia and assured: "Don't worry, I'll protect it well."

Hearing this, Lugia's eyes flashed with relief and comfort.

Afterwards, Lugia softly gave Little Lugia a few instructions, then spread its wings and soared high, vanishing into the blue sky.

It believes that, thanks to the bloodline bond between it and Little Lugia, no matter where Little Lugia is, it can easily sense its presence.

This time, let Little Lugia follow Ash to train—after all, following such a good partner as Ash is undoubtedly an opportunity full of challenge and growth for Little Lugia.

Ash treats his Pokémon well; feelings don't lie!

Ash watched Lugia's receding figure, a warm surge rising in his heart.

He gently stroked little Lugia's head, his eyes flashing with determined light, "The journey ahead, no matter wind or rain, we will face it together."

【Ma Zhishi: Black Satoshi defeated Lugia and also captured a little Lugia; if trained like Pikachu, it will surely be fierce, those trainers participating in the Silver Conference are in for trouble!】

【Brock: Xiaomao in danger!】

【Xiaomao:....... Believe in Black Xiaomao!】

【Kenan: Although little Lugia can follow Black Satoshi happily, it will surely be noticed by Team Rocket, then it will be troublesome.】

【Yulongdu: Team Rocket! Sooner or later we'll catch them all!】

【Ami: Soon, Black Satoshi will challenge the Scallion Gym; looks like Pikachu is tired, probably won't let Pikachu battle.】
