Chapter 10: Reward

After Ning Fengzhi said that, not only Yang Lin and Yang Xiong were very surprised, even the Sword Douluo and Bone Douluo beside them showed a hint of astonishment, clearly Ning Fengzhi rated this discovery very highly.

Ning Fengzhi also didn't avoid the presence of Yang Lin and his son: "Jian Shu, Gu Shu, you both come and take a look; perhaps our sect will achieve an unprecedented leap."

In the Soul Master World, something like Whale Glue that can improve a Soul Grandmaster's physique, raise Soul Power Level, even strengthen muscles, bones and meridians, ultimately allowing absorption of high‑level Soul Rings, can be called a rare treasure; especially since obtaining Whale Glue is not too difficult nor rare, it is even more valuable.

After the Sword Douluo and Bone Douluo read the contents on the paper, their originally calm attitudes suddenly became extremely serious, and Bone Douluo even showed a trace of ruthlessness in his eyes.

Ning Fengzhi smiled: "Jian Shu, please check the bodies of Steward Yang Lin and young Yang Xiong, see whether their conditions have truly been affected."

The Sword Douluo nodded and approached the father and son.

"Relax your mind; my soul power will not harm you."

The Sword Douluo emitted a terrifying sword qi; the father and son instantly felt an immense pressure, a classified stream of information entered their bodies; especially since the two's soul power and physical conditions were completely different, yet the Sword Douluo could examine both simultaneously.

Under this Sword Intent, Yang Lin and Yang Xiong each summoned their martial souls, and the Sword Douluo's Sword Intent passed through the martial souls, seemingly inspecting every organ, even blood and bone marrow.

"Hmm, interesting."

The Sword Douluo's face showed a hint of surprise, then he withdrew his breath.

"Fengzhi, the two of them are in excellent condition; their internal meridians and organs have no hidden injuries, and their physical qualities even surpass those of same‑level Soul Grandmasters; the effect of Whale Glue should be essentially real."

Ning Fengzhi again showed a smile: "Very good, you father‑son pair have done a great service for the Seven Treasures Glazed Tile Sect; is there anything you desire? Our sect has clear rewards and punishments and will never short‑change anyone who contributes."

Yang Lin hurriedly spoke: "Report, Sect Leader, I am a member of the Seven Treasures Glazed Tile Sect; contributing to the sect is my duty."

Ning Fengzhi nodded: "As expected of an elder of the sect, young Yang Xiong, do you have any request?"

Yang Xiong thought a moment then said: "Sect Leader, I prefer reading; I've nearly finished all the school books. I heard the Inner Sect has a Library; may I enter it to read?"

Ning Fengzhi was a bit puzzled: "Young Yang Xiong, besides reading do you have any other hobbies? Perhaps wealth or cultivation resources, or I could arrange a master to teach you cultivation."

Yang Xiong quickly replied: "Report, Sect Leader, I now only wish to study and read more; I'm not interested in other matters."

"By the way, Sect Leader, could we keep my discovery of Whale Glue secret from others? After all, I'm only eight years old."

Ning Fengzhi smiled: "No problem; apart from us, no one will know you uncovered the Whale Glue secret."

Then Ning Fengzhi thought, and a green token appeared in Yang Xiong's hand; the token was entirely polished from a jade stone, its front depicted a Seven Treasures Glazed Tile Pagoda, the back bore the character Ning.

The Sword Douluo and Bone Douluo, seeing Ning Fengzhi's action, also showed a hint of astonishment, for the token was not simple.

Ning Fengzhi continued: "Our Seven Treasures Glazed Tile Sect has clear rewards and punishments; from today, your whole family of four will all enter the Inner Sect, and we specially grant Yang Xiong access to the Sect's Library, hoping you will continue to contribute to our sect."

"But you must also remember, the Whale Glue secret must not be known to anyone, otherwise it will be dealt with according to the sect rules."

Yang Lin and Yang Xiong promptly nodded in confirmation.

After the two left, Bone Douluo seemed a bit doubtful: "Fengzhi, are you perhaps overvaluing their family? The Inner Sect of the Seven Treasures Glazed Tile Sect is not easy to enter, and their family's strength is a bit low."

As Bone Douluo said, for a top three sect to enter the Inner Sect, one must either have made great contributions or have a Soul Douluo‑level master in the family, not to mention a clean lineage fully trusted by the sect.

Ning Fengzhi smiled: "Gu Shu, you worry too much; since Yang Xiong likes reading, we can just give him our internal books. Perhaps our sect will gain a research prodigy. Moreover, this family has always lived within the Seven Treasures Glazed Tile Sect, so they are trustworthy."

Actually Ning Fengzhi had another point: after Yang Lin's family enters the Inner Sect, it is convenient for cultivation and observation, and any problems can be handled easily.

Bone Douluo, hearing this, could only silently nod; if Whale Glue's effect is truly that good, the sect's strength could indeed rise another level.

"Jian Shu, what exactly did you observe in their bodies just now? The Whale Glue won't damage their fundamentals, will it?"

The Sword Douluo's face showed a strange expression: "Fengzhi, they have no internal injuries or hidden risks, and their meridians are very broad. The Whale Glue's effect may be better than they imagined, especially Yang Xiong, who hasn't yet obtained a Soul Ring, yet I think his physical quality surpasses many sixteen‑seventeen‑level Soul Grandmasters."

"Perhaps his love of reading is to find a cultivation path for his martial soul, and I vaguely feel that his path will be promising."

The Bone Douluo snorted coldly: "This kid is being presumptuous, or his insight is shallow; such a special martial soul's cultivation path is not so easy to find."

After the three talked for a while, Ning Fengzhi made the final decision: "Gu Shu, secretly arrange to purchase a batch of Whale Glue; later we will have internal personnel verify its effect. If it truly works that well, Jian Shu and Gu Shu may breakthrough again."

"Especially since many Elders within our sect are stuck at bottlenecks; perhaps after taking premium Whale Glue the sect can add a Title Douluo‑level master."

……

If Yang Xiong heard Ning Fengzhi's words, he would be speechless; Whale Glue indeed has a good effect on a Soul Grandmaster's cultivation, especially the first time taking top‑grade Whale Glue, the effect is very evident.

But for a top master to breakthrough it is harder, unless the person is very close to the bottleneck, or bodily constraints prevent breakthrough, such as elderly whose bodily functions decline and whose soul power can no longer advance.
