Chapter 231: New Year, the New Script Is Set!

Anyway, I have no idea what New Year is like elsewhere.

Lin Mo's House.

It's New Year, the whole extended family gathers together.

So.

During New Year meals, we have to set up two or three tables.

Those who drink, drink; those who chat, chat.

After that's done, it's mahjong, the primary entertainment.

These few days back home.

Every day the house is lively.

The same.

Online, it's lively too.

New Year is coming soon.

All major platforms, like TikTok, microblog, Penguin.

All have launched various red‑envelope giveaway events.

The app pages are all a sea of bright red.

Full of festive joy.

Spring Festival releases have been coming out one after another.

"Crazy Alien" has its premiere at nine p. m.

Of course Lin Mo has to attend the premiere.

So.

In the evening, Lin Mo led Re Ba and Song Wanwan to watch the film.

How to put it, for those viewers just looking for fun, the movie is actually pretty good.

In the theater, laughter comes in wave after wave.

But for those professional film critics, the movie might be a total mess.

When the film ended, Song Wanwan and Re Ba were still having fun there.

Re Ba laughed, "Ha ha, Mo Ge, so Senior Brother Xu Zheng was playing the alien, no wonder I didn't see him before!"

Song Wanwan also laughed in agreement, "Brother, the Shen Teng and Huang Bo duo is really hilarious!"

Nowadays Shen Teng and Huang Bo are the top dogs of the mainland comedy scene.

Just as netizens say, whenever they appear on screen, everyone can't help but laugh.

"The movie's okay, the box office shouldn't be far off!" Lin Mo said.

Talking about Shen Teng and Huang Bo.

Their names alone are worth a ten‑billion box office.

Among the audience, at least over half came specifically for them.

Earlier.

In the group chat, Lin Mo also posted a few movie tickets.

To show he's supporting the film.

After all.

For his own movie, people both post Weibo support and book private screenings.

If he didn't even support the premiere, that would be hard to justify.

As for private screenings.

That's easy; he had Liu Qin arrange a few private showings.

The group chat was also extremely lively.

Huang Lei teased Xu Zheng there: "Just finished the movie with my wife and daughter, it was pretty good, but I have a question—Zheng Zi, you're on the cast list, why haven't I seen you?"

That comment made everyone in the group laugh.

Sun Honglei joined in: "Lei Zi, quoting a line from Director Lin's film, you're not only killing people but also crushing hearts!"

Wang Xun: "@Ning Hao, Director Ning, I just finished the movie too; the theater was full of nonstop laughter!"

Huang Bo: "@Huang Lei, are you saying our Director Xu's alien performance was bad?"

Xu Zheng: "@Huang Bo, @Sun Honglei, you two have had enough!"

The group chat was buzzing happily.

Over here.

Returned home.

Saw the group's chat messages.

Lin Mo also jumped into the conversation.

"@Ning Hao, @Xu Zheng, the movie's okay, the box office won't be far off!"

Everyone who saw Lin Mo speak also @‑ed him.

Lin Mo kept chatting with them, sentence after sentence.

February 3rd.

New Year's Eve!

From the morning, Lin Mo's house has been bustling.

And Lin Mo, with Re Ba as the protagonist.

The topic naturally couldn't be separated from them.

It's the entertainment circle.

To ordinary people, it's still quite mysterious.

So they were asking all kinds of gossip questions.

For example, who's with whom and how.

And also, for example, what someone's character is like.

Of course, they both answered selectively.

For example, Song Wanwan asked him.

"Brother, I heard your next film will be collaborating with Cheng Long, is that true?"

Cheng Long

This name, basically everyone in the country knows it.

"Ah, is that the Cheng Long we know?"

"Yes, yes, it's all over the internet!"

Although Lin Mo now has a high status and great influence in the entertainment circle.

But.

People who don't understand the entertainment circle and usually don't pay attention to these things.

They really don't know just how capable Lin Mo is.

They only know he's made a few movies with very high box office.

However, when it comes to Cheng Long.

They instantly felt it was different.

"Indeed, I will be collaborating with Long Shu!"

Lin Mo nodded.

"Brother, you gotta help me get Cheng Long's autograph!" Song Wanwan seized the opportunity and quickly put forward her small request.

"No problem, at the movie premiere I can bring you to meet Cheng Long in person!" Lin Mo readily agreed.

Upon hearing this, Song Wanwan was so happy she almost jumped up, "Really? Brother, you're the best!"

New Year's Eve.

The TV at home was on, playing the Spring Festival Gala.

Then they ate while chatting.

As for watching the Spring Festival Gala.

It's just a formality during the New Year.

This year's Spring Festival Gala skits are still the same few.

Happy beginning, sad ending.

At the end, they still didn't forget to go through the motions, trying to move the audience.

The most anticipated was Liu Qian's magic performance.

In 2008, aside from Xiao Shenyang's overnight fame.

Also, Liu Qian's performance was also.

It entered thousands of households, letting countless people know this magician.

After finishing the meal.

The custom of Chuan Province people.

Let's start the card-playing activity!

Lin Mo didn't play; he just stood aside guiding Re Ba.

She's still basically a novice now.

Mainly because after playing Da Er last year, she's forgotten some this year.

He and his younger brothers and sisters.

Each person has a phone.

They're either playing Identity V or playing Honor of Kings.

In this household.

If we're talking about who's busiest, it's definitely Lin Mo.

The calls come one after another nonstop.

They're all New Year greeting calls.

Lin Mo on the balcony, just answering calls took almost an hour.

As for WeChat messages.

Needless to say, it's even more.

Private chats filled with blessings.

In each group, basically the chat content is 99+.

Red packets were flying everywhere, Lin Mo didn't even have time to grab them.

"Long Shu, after the New Year's fifteenth, fly to Mo Du sometime so we can discuss the script; this script of mine is quite suitable for you, it's about a father seeking revenge for his daughter, constantly searching for truth and justice...."

"Okay, no problem! When you call, I'll fly over directly; I've been thinking about your script every day!" Cheng Long's hearty laugh came from the other end of the phone.

Afterwards, they chatted a while longer before hanging up.

"British Duel"

This is absolutely the movie where Brother Cheng Long's acting is the best.

In his previous life, when Long Shu filmed this movie, he was already too old to move.

But in this world, it's different.

Brother Cheng Long is just over sixty.

He often works out and takes good care of himself.

He looks about fifty.

No exaggeration, no criticism.

Just Brother Cheng Long's physical condition.

He's stronger than the vast majority of young people.

Especially those frail college students.

Last year.

During the New Year, he didn't stay home for many days.

This year is different.

He and Re Ba plan to return only after the fifteenth day of the New Year.

During that period.

Lin Mo also took Re Ba to watch the folk tradition of striking iron flowers fireworks.

Re Ba also posted a video on TikTok.

In just a few hours, it got hundreds of thousands of likes.

This video was filmed by Lin Mo for Re Ba.

In Re Ba's words, that is, 'Mo Ge, you're professional!'
