Chapter 232: If You Want to Shoot a Blockbuster, the Actors Must Be Heavyweight!

British Duel.

Actually, this film's title would be more fitting as "Stranger in a Foreign Land" or "Outsider".

But…

As a commercial film, the title can't be like that; it would easily affect the box office.

Lin Mo has seen this movie in a previous life.

It's definitely the best‑looking and best‑acted of Cheng Long's later movies!

But the box office wasn't great; worldwide total is still under $200 million.

A big reason is that the main plot is rather heavy, dealing with the nation's political grudges!

And Cheng Long's revenge storyline was greatly downplayed.

This caused many viewers to feel a bit bored while watching.

So, if Lin Mo were to make it.

The script of British Duel would definitely need a complete overhaul!

A commercial film needs that pure kind!

Please, the fans come to see Cheng Long's fight scenes!

Who wants to watch your country's high‑level scheming plot?

First.

The political grudges between Ireland and Ying Guo in the film must be greatly reduced.

Then focus on filming Long Shu's revenge storyline!

Of course.

The most important issue is the actors!

As for movies, the reason box office is high is because…

It can't be separated from several factors.

Script, actors, special effects!

And Lin Mo thinks that actors and movie special effects are the most important.

As for the script…

Especially for this kind of commercial film, where the main line is about an avenger.

To put it bluntly, it's already trite.

As long as the script is passable and the logic can be made to work, that's enough.

Besides Cheng Long,

Lin Mo also plans to invite Shi Tai Long!

Actually, Cheng Long and Shi Tai Long are good friends, so asking him to act wouldn't be a big issue.

One film, two protagonists!

Next, there must be a villain.

The most handsome 007 actor Pierce, who portrays Lai Mu, is a senior government official.

In the original plot, Lai Mu was once a veteran figure of a terrorist organization, but later left the group and intended to uphold pacifism.

Here the plot needs a magical rewrite.

Turn Lai Mu into a complete villain boss!

So.

The magically revised plot of British Duel should be that Cheng Long brings his friend Shi Tai Long, and the two fight side by side, engaging in jungle battles, street fights, and various explosive special effects, ultimately clearing every stage, killing the villain, and achieving successful revenge!

In the blink of an eye.

The fifteenth year passed in a flash.

Yesterday, Lin Mo and Re Ba already returned to Mo Du.

During the New Year.

At home, his parents and a bunch of relatives were most concerned about one question…

When will Lin Mo and Re Ba get married!

Regarding this question,

Lin Mo says they are still too young.

After all, they just had birthdays this year and are only 25!

If they marry, maybe in another two years.

Speaking of Cheng Long,

He is really eager.

Look.

Today's flight arrives at Mo Du at 4 p. m.

He wanted to collaborate with Lin Mo last year.

But at that time Lin Mo was filming "Wolf Warrior".

In the car, Re Ba curiously asked Lin Mo: "Mo Ge, what movie are you and Cheng Long planning to film, is it an action movie?"

She was actually the first to know that Lin Mo would cooperate with Cheng Long.

Lin Mo nodded and said, "Yes, Cheng Long's biggest draw is his unique fighting style!"

Re Ba, after hearing that, said with some worry, "But… Cheng Long is already 60 years old, can he still fight?"

Because Cheng Long hasn't gotten off the plane yet, only the two of them are in the car, so she asked the question.

Lin Mo laughed and said, "Take a look at Long Shu's condition now — forget peers his age, even some young people don't have his physical fitness!"

Re Ba, upon hearing that, thought Lin Mo made a lot of sense.

She had seen Cheng Long several times; just from his appearance, he didn't look like a 60-year-old, more like someone in his early fifties, and his spirit and energy were better than most young people nowadays.

Nonsense.

You don't even look at these youngsters nowadays, lying around all day at home, their limbs are practically atrophying.

Next, Lin Mo told Re Ba that his new film had also cast Shi Tai Long.

Re Ba was stunned upon hearing that: "Ah? Shi Tai Long? The guy who starred in *The Expendables*?"

Lin Mo nodded: "Exactly!"

Re Ba was even more surprised, and then Lin Mo added, "I also wanted to invite Jason Stansen to join!"

"Wow!" Re Ba could hardly believe her ears.

With this cast — Cheng Long plus Shi Tai Long plus Jason Stansen, plus Lin Mo directing — if this got out online, netizens would probably go crazy!

Actually.

The other night, Lin Mo thought: in the film, Lai Mu's nephew Xiao En could be played by Jason Stansen.

If we're going to play, we go big!

Anyway, he's not short of money now, max out the effects, max out the cast — shouldn't this box office blow up?

As for Shi Tai Long,

His participation is already confirmed; half a month ago, Cheng Long called Shi Tai Long, and he happened to be free, and hearing that Lin Mo was directing also piqued his interest.

The film *Wolf Warrior* ranks sixth on the global box office chart.

Shi Tai Long certainly knew that!

Moreover, this time he's teaming up with Cheng Long — he's thrilled, hardly able to contain himself.

As for Jason Stansen,

He was a last-minute idea.

I don't even know if he has availability.

It would be great if he did!

Once Cheng Long arrives, I'll have him ask.

After all,

Long Shu's connections span the globe!

It was around 4:20 in the afternoon.

Lin Mo picked up Cheng Long.

Cheng Long was accompanied by only one assistant.

"Long Shu!"

Upon meeting, Lin Mo smiled and gave Cheng Long a hug.

Besides, Re Ba respectfully called out, "Hello, Long Shu!"

As for why Lin Mo keeps calling him Long Shu,

Hem, hem, mainly because he's watched *Cheng Long's Adventures* too much and got used to it.

In the industry, it seems only Lin Mo calls him that.

As for Re Ba, she naturally followed Lin Mo's lead.

"Happy New Year!"

Although the New Year has already passed, Cheng Long still smiled and said to them,

Lin Mo drove, first taking Cheng Long to drop off his luggage.

In Mo Du.

Cheng Long also owns several properties.

To be precise, Cheng Long has houses all over the country.

Not only domestically, but abroad as well.

Upon arriving at the place,

Lin Mo then saw.

Wow, Long Shu's place isn't cheap.

"Long Shu, how much did you pay for this place back then?" Lin Mo asked curiously.

"Not expensive, it was cheap back then — just a few tens of millions!" Cheng Long laughed.

Those few tens of millions back then would be several small goals by today's standards!

"Let me show you around — I haven't lived here in a while either!"

Cheng Long laughed and patted Lin Mo on the shoulder.
