Chapter 505: Foreign Fans: Please, Don't Spoil It!!!

Brokeback Mountain

This movie, many people may not have seen, but everyone has heard of it.

They know it's a gay film.

No one expected it.

The actor who played Joker is actually the male lead of Brokeback Mountain.

What a fellow!

Mainly because before Batman: The Dark Knight started filming, no one cared who the Joker was, who played the Joker.

After all, everyone was rushing for Lin Mo, for Batman, for big brother Cheng Long and Guo Da Sitan Sen.

Result..

After the movie finished its theatrical run.

The Joker, who received the least attention, actually blew up!

And it was an explosive kind of fame!

His acting has become godlike!

Chen Ning.

As mentioned earlier, a professional Film Critic.

He still has quite a few fans online.

After watching the premiere of Batman: The Dark Knight, on the way back.

His mind kept replaying some scenes from the movie.

The more he thought about it, the more he felt the Joker character was set up perfectly.

He truly had never seen such a charismatic villain!

Back home.

Chen Ning immediately opened his computer, eager to write his review.

His Weibo has millions of followers, basically all movie enthusiasts.

These fans are all waiting for his review.

It took him a little over an hour.

He finally finished a long piece of over a thousand words.

Title 【When the Joker Becomes a Mirror that Exposes Demons】.

"Director Lin used IMAX film to tear away the sugary coating of superhero movies; while everyone was awaiting the roar of the Batmobile, Heath Ledger's Joker quietly appeared—not as a villain, but as a dissecting surgeon in a human nature laboratory...."

"Overall rating: ★★★★★★ (Plot three stars, director two stars, full stars are five, an extra star is for Heath Ledger's godlike performance!)"

Soon.

After he posted this sprawling over‑a‑thousand‑word review.

Comments started pouring in.

"WTF, six stars? This is the first time I've seen Big Chen give a movie six stars!"

"Batman: The Dark Knight is truly worth it, especially the Joker; this character is really awesome!"

"Just finished the movie, I can only say, this film is absolutely a must‑watch!!!"

"Six stars aren't enough; I think ten stars are what it deserves!!!"

"This movie could really break Avatar's record, Director Lin is truly going to become a deity this time!"

"Ah, you all have seen the movie? I'm the only one who couldn't get a ticket?"

"Those upstairs, don't rush, there's also me, I haven't seen it either!"

"I want to watch... but I can't get tickets!"

"......"

This night is destined to be a sleepless night.

Most fans who finished watching Batman: The Dark Knight returned home all excited, too thrilled to sleep.

Take Yang Tao, for example.

Right now he's lying on his side in bed, right foot crossed over left, endlessly scrolling through Douyin.

And the content he's watching is all related to Batman: The Dark Knight.

It's already 4 a. m.

Many Douyin creators posted videos at the first moment.

Various praises for Batman: The Dark Knight.

Things like 'the greatest in film history', 'the most powerful villain ever', and so on.

He watches them with great relish.

Meanwhile, at another venue.

Because Batman: The Dark Knight is released worldwide.

But the release times differ across countries and regions.

For example.

Abroad it premieres at noon the next day.

So domestic netizens, after watching the film, each hop over the firewall to go abroad, showing off and bragging.

"Hahaha, you foreigners haven't seen it yet, right? Joker's acting is instantly godlike!"

"The Dark Knight hasn't hit 9.5 on IMDb, I'm live‑streaming and eating my keyboard!"

"WTF! Huaguo actually released it 12 hours earlier than North America?!"

"Please, no spoilers! I've already bought tickets for tomorrow's premiere!"

"That Joker‑playing Heath Ledger… is the one from Brokeback Mountain?!"

"Baka! Why does Dao Guo have to wait until noon!!!"

"After watching the main feature and coming back, the acting in the trailer is only 1% of Joker's power!"

"Who can translate these five‑star long reviews? Google Translate turns them into 'legendary', 'awesome'!"

"......"

The next day.

When Lin Mo woke up, he saw Re Ba giggling over there.

"Honey, you're awake!" Re Ba lay on her side beside him, holding up her phone, laughing wildly, "Look at these trending topics on Weibo, they're cracking me up!"

Lin Mo rubbed his eyes, took the phone, and saw that the top five trending topics were all related to Batman: The Dark Knight.

#Huaguo film fans cross‑national spoiler team‑building#

#Joker acting shocks overseas#

#IMDB pre‑release spoilers#

#Brokeback Mountain lead turns into Joker#

#Lin Mo's legendary work#

Lin Mo clicked on that trending topic, and was instantly amused by the myriad, varied spoiler methods.

And in the comment section, there were a bunch of foreigners who couldn't stand it, leaving remarks.

"WTF, can Huaguo netizens stop spoiling for us? We'll watch it at noon!!!"

"Friends from Huaguo, please spare us! My phone has been bombarded by Joker Emoji Stickers until it crashed!"

"Warning! Don't search the #Why. So. Serious tag! It's all spoilers!"

"My Huaguo roommate shook me awake at 3 a. m. shouting 'Joker went legendary'… Does that count as cross‑national violence?"

"......"

Lin Mo looked at Re Ba's smiling eyes and eyebrows, gently brushed her nose tip, teasing, "You, you never think the fun is too big, but these netizens are truly impressive; this wave of cross‑national spoiler tactics has pushed Batman: The Dark Knight's hype to a new height."

Re Ba leaned into Lin Mo's arms, nudged her head, cooing, "Isn't it just because the movie is great, especially Joker, Heath Ledger's performance is phenomenal, it blew me away, and everyone is so excited that they spoiler so wildly."

Lin Mo hugged Re Ba tightly, smiling, "Yeah, Heath Ledger truly gave Joker a soul!"

When it comes to Heath Ledger's acting, Lin Mo has nothing to say.

Just kidding, after the premiere, Ka Me Long and Steven Spielberg both added Heath Ledger's contact info.

Especially Steven Spielberg, who said outright that he hopes his next film can collaborate with Heath Ledger.

Re Ba looked up, her eyes sparkling at Lin Mo, "Honey, do you think this movie will really break Avatar's record like the netizens say? If it does, you'll truly become legendary!"

"It should be possible~"

Re Ba was absolutely convinced of Lin Mo, "Honey, it will definitely!!! Look at how high everyone's rating of the movie is now, and Joker is so popular, so many people will go watch it."
