Chapter 466: Please Stop Your Show

Li Tian tossed the documents onto the dining table; Chen Fan didn't look.

Qu Yiling picked them up on her side and began reading.

The camera gave them a shot from this side.

The case was actually quite simple: a lot of people had died, and quite a few animals too.

It counted as a case within the village.

"Strange, right? This case — the dead aren't few, a mass poisoning case. By the time they went to investigate, quite a few people had already died inside their homes."

Chen Fan said, "In winter, drinking water is the biggest factor, but in winter most people drink hot water, and hot water can remove a lot of toxins. Your poisoning doesn't add up."

"I don't know, it's already five people, and quite a few others are at the hospital, so we need Menqu Gang to lend a hand."

"The bodies?"

"They're already laid out. You can go look after dinner. But, the bodies are pretty interesting — you'll understand once you see them."

The bodies are interesting?

Here, the group ate something, then came to the dissection room. Looking at the bodies one by one, they fell into thought.

The audience's faces flushed red in an instant.

Good lord, a mushroom forest.

Chen Fan said, "Good lord, this stimulating?"

Li Tian said, "Yeah, this stimulating. Outrageous, right? When I first got this case, I thought it was even more outrageous than you."

Chen Fan lifted the sheet, took a sniff, and said, "Mm, this smell isn't right. The smell inside these people's mouths — not right."

"What is it?"

Chen Fan mulled it over and said, "Aphrodisiacs. There are actually a lot of them on the market — a lot of drugs have that effect. It's just that domestic production is banned. Oh, to add, the effect of these drugs on people isn't actually that big, and most are harmful to women; for men, they're useless."

Li Tian said, "What? You're saying all that stuff from movies is fake?"

"Yes, because if they worked, men wouldn't be able to go out on the street at all. As for those who claim they took the drug and couldn't control themselves — they're all liars."

Pfft, hahahahaha.

Among the audience, the men couldn't take it anymore.

"Damn, Chen Fan, you bastard — you've eaten your fill, and you won't even let us eat."

"I was planning to use drinking as an excuse to take advantage, and you went and exposed it."

"Hateful, this Chen Fan — his heart is rotten."

"So that's how it is. I said my husband was so restless the first time with me — now no matter how much he drinks, it doesn't work."

Five people, each in charge of one body.

Because the deaths were from poisoning, the dissection work went quickly.

Here, the group quickly got the results they needed.

The toxin tests from the livers were mostly similar, just with differences in dosage.

Chen Fan mulled it over and said, "Probably related to the amount ingested at the time. Depending on each person's constitution, the drug will cause different adverse effects — but this thing is a bit odd."

Odd?

Li Tian said, "What's odd about it?"

"This drug itself poses no danger, but these people died of poisoning, which means they ingested something else. Let me put it this way — this stuff is something used on pigs. It's actually not small in harm to people either, but in small amounts there's no problem."

Holy shit.

So scary.

Li Tian said, "Then it's easy to investigate. This kind of drug is easy to find at the veterinary station — whoever bought it is the one… but my gut tells me the case isn't that simple."

Chen Fan said, "Right, the case isn't that simple. The person who put the drug in only had an aphrodisiac effect in mind; the problem was the water quality. The water and the drug mixed together — that's what caused harm to people."

Chen Fan presented the hardest thing to handle in forensic medicine.

"Unnatural death."

"Sorry, no coin sound by my ear."

Li Tian, speechless, said, "Let's go…"

Chen Fan took his apprentice, got in the car, and headed to the village.

They then collected water from the deceased's homes, preparing to bring it back for testing.

And very soon, Li Tian arrested the village chief.

Yes, the village chief was arrested.

The village chief confessed that the reason he drugged them was that the village's birth rate was too low, and many young married couples didn't want children.

And they couldn't even get pregnant.

So he came up with this method.

Chen Fan frowned and said, "Village chief, the drop in your village's birth rate — is it that they can't conceive, or…"

"Miscarriages, can't carry to term, and babies born with deformities…"
