Chapter 126

Chen Mo greeted him with a smile.

"Good, good. A while ago, I saw you singing at Mui's concert. I originally wanted to find you to chat, but when I went to find you, you had just left by plane. I didn't expect to run into you here this time."

Jackie Chan smiled.

"Hehe, I asked for leave from the film crew before, and the time was a bit tight, so I was in a hurry to go back. By the way, Jackie Chan, I'm your fan; sign an autograph for me later."

Chen Mo smiled.

"Haha, okay."

Jackie Chan laughed out loud.

Then he changed the subject and asked with a smile, "By the way, what movie are you filming recently?"

"A movie by Director Cameron; it's estimated that it won't be released until next year. It just wrapped up a while ago."

"Oh."

Jackie Chan nodded with a smile, but began to ponder in his heart.

Then the two chatted for a few more words, and then walked into the award ceremony.

After going inside, Chen Mo found his seat under the guidance of the staff and sat down.

His seat was relatively forward, because at every award ceremony, as long as you were nominated, your seat was relatively forward, so that if you won, it would be convenient to go on stage to receive the award.

After sitting in his seat, Chen Mo began to look around.

Not long after, people also sat in the seats on both sides of Chen Mo.

Chen Mo looked at these two people; he had a little impression, but he didn't remember them very clearly. He thought they probably weren't big stars in the later generations.

Half an hour later...

The award ceremony began.

First, the host was on stage, performing a talk show.

Then, amidst the host's teasing, the award ceremony proceeded bit by bit.

The awards presented at the beginning were some awards with relatively low gold content.

After about an hour had passed, it finally reached the first award for which Chen Mo was nominated.

"Congratulations, the winner of this year's MTV Best New Artist Award is..."

"Chen Mo!"

As soon as the words fell...

Everyone applauded!

And Chen Mo stood up, then tidied up the small suit he was wearing, turned around, and bowed to thank everyone below.

Then Chen Mo walked toward the stage.

At this moment, the system's voice rang out in his mind.

【Ding! Congratulations to the host for winning the first music award, unlocking the "Music Scene Newcomer II" achievement, and rewarding one system lottery opportunity.】

Listening to the system's voice, the corners of Chen Mo's mouth rose slightly.

Soon arriving on stage, Chen Mo took the trophy from the award presenter and then raised it with a smile.

Seeing this scene, the guests below felt complex.

They vaguely remembered that a few years ago, when this youth was still a child, he was at the Golden Globe Awards ceremony.

Then, during the few years he disappeared from the screen, everyone thought this child would disappear into the long river of film history, but they didn't expect him to appear at a music award ceremony with his first album!

And he even won the most special Best New Artist Award!

One had to know that everyone only had one chance in their lifetime for the Best New Artist Award, while there was a chance for the Best Singer Award every year.

The special nature of this award went without saying!

Jackie Chan, who came here to brush up on screen time, was looking at that youth with a complex expression at this time.

To say he wasn't envious would be a lie!

However, based on his relationship with Anita Mui, he could invite Chen Mo to make a guest appearance in his next movie!

To gain some attention for his movie!

"I thank the organizers for allowing me to win this award. In fact, there are many people more outstanding than me; I am just an ordinary member of this circle..."

Chen Mo said his humble acceptance speech.

After thanking everyone again, Chen Mo left the stage.

Next, the award presentation continued.

Soon, it was the highlight of the night, the Best Pop Singer Award!

"The winner of the Best Pop Singer Award is... Davis."

Clap clap clap...

Applause rang out.

Below the stage, Chen Mo applauded along, although he felt a bit disappointed, it was just as he had guessed; after all, his qualifications were still too shallow, and unless the organizers' brains were broken, they wouldn't give him this award.

However, being able to win the Best New Artist Award was already a pretty good harvest!

We have a long way to go!

The next day.

The media reported on the awards from yesterday's MTV award ceremony.

Among them, the Best New Artist Award won by Chen Mo made everyone feel surprised but also felt it wasn't strange.

After all, everyone had seen the results of Chen Mo's "Green Plum" album.

The global sales had now reached 12 million copies!

Among them, the song "BABY" had topped the "Billboard Pop Chart" for fifteen consecutive weeks!

However, Chen Mo was only 12 years old now!

Everyone didn't dare to imagine what his future would be like!

Just like his acceptance speech at the Golden Globe Awards a few years ago!

His glory was just a beginning!

His future was bright!

Mid-October.

The sample footage of "Titanic" had been edited and sent to the Film Association for review.

Sample footage did not represent the final film; the production of the final film would take at least another half a year.

Because this movie was a joint production of Fox Film Corporation and several giant film companies like Universal, the Film Association conducted a review immediately after receiving the sample footage.

However, some controversy arose during the review!

The main reason was still the age difference between Chen Mo and Kate.

Additionally, there was the scene where Chen Mo drew a painting for Kate.

After all, the controversy over this scene was very large; Chen Mo was only 12 years old, and if such a movie were released, the impact would be too bad!

So the Film Association rejected the sample footage directly!

The approval did not pass.

After the film company learned the reason why it didn't pass, they found Cameron immediately.

And Cameron, who was very persistent about movies, how could he let that most perfect scene be cut? So after learning about the matter, he went to Fox Film Corporation immediately and started to pester them.

Cameron had been famous in Hollywood for a long time; he first relied on "Piranha", then filmed "The Terminator", and then "Alien"!

Finally, he established his status in the director circle with the movie "True Lies".

So the film company attached great importance to Cameron's pestering; after a joint meeting of several companies, they immediately sent representatives to the Film Association, and at the same time, they used their connections or some channels to find a way.

When time reached the beginning of November, the sample footage finally passed the review.

And no scenes were cut!

Only the rating of the movie was set to R!

This level suggested that viewers over 17 years old should watch it.

In his past life, the rating of "Titanic" was set to PG-13, but now it was set to R, raising it by one level.

The reason for this was naturally Chen Mo's age issue.

Cameron didn't care about this small problem.

In the following time, he continued to work on post-production with the post-production team.

Soon, another three months passed.

1999 arrived! ===== CHAPTER 128 =====
