Chapter 125

Seeing his dad not thinking at all, Chen Mo couldn't help but say, "Dad, don't you want to ask what I want to buy first?"

"Hehe, Dad isn't short of money."

Father Chen said boldly.

Hearing Father Chen's words, Chen Mo didn't say anything more and picked up paper and a pen from Father Chen's desk, then began to write on the paper.

Transformers, MARVEL (the predecessor of Marvel).

After writing, Chen Mo handed the paper to Father Chen.

Father Chen took it, looked at it, and said, "Okay, Dad will arrange it later."

Chen Mo nodded after hearing this.

Then he hesitated and said, "Dad, is our company's market value really growing every day?"

"Of course! Now it's not just our company; as long as it's an internet company, it's growing."

Father Chen nodded and said.

Chen Mo said, "Dad, we have a saying in China: 'When something is abnormal, there must be a demon.' I think we should sell the company."

Hearing Chen Mo's words, Father Chen widened his eyes immediately.

"Sell! Are you kidding? Now the stock is rising every day; we earn several million a day just by doing nothing. One more day is enough for us to eat for a lifetime, why sell?"

Father Chen said.

Chen Mo said, "You said it yourself, our company earns enough for our family to eat for a lifetime in one day, so why earn so much money? And with so many accounts every day, Dad, do you feel at ease in your heart?"

Chen Mo didn't care about Father Chen's strange look; after all, this company was not only managed hard by Father Chen, but Chen Mo's own efforts were also invested in it!

He had to let Father Chen sell the company before the internet economic bubble started!

When the internet economic bubble was at its most depressed, he would buy the company back!

At that time, not only would the company be back, but he could also make a big profit!

Father Chen listened to Chen Mo's words, and couldn't help but start to ponder in his heart.

His son was a genius!

Or rather, a person with great luck!

He bought a few lottery tickets and won hundreds of thousands; he bought a script and filmed it and earned millions.

If it weren't for his son's reminder, there wouldn't be the appearance of the Mo Mo search engine!

Now, listening to what his son said, Father Chen also began to analyze it seriously.

The more he thought, the more irritable he became; Father Chen took a cigarette case out of the drawer, then lit a cigarette and started smoking.

A moment later...

Father Chen gritted his teeth and said, "Sell! I'll sell the shares bit by bit!"

Hearing Father Chen's words, Chen Mo felt relieved.

Then Chen Mo stayed at Father Chen's company for a while longer, and when it was noon, Chen Mo left the company.

Soon, a week later.

Father Chen bought the film rights to "Harry Potter".

Although only the first part of "Harry Potter" was published now, Father Chen directly negotiated with the author to buy all the film rights to the other parts that hadn't been published yet!

These copyrights cost 400,000 US dollars!

This price wasn't much, but for "Harry Potter", which hadn't truly exploded in popularity yet, it was already a very high price!

Additionally...

For Transformers, the price to buy the copyright here was relatively high, because Transformers had appeared in the form of toys and comics very early on, and although the global fan base wasn't huge, it was definitely not small.

To obtain the film rights to Transformers, Father Chen spent 10 million US dollars!

As for Marvel of the later generations, it was currently under negotiation and still needed some time.

On the other side...

The total global sales of the album "Green Plum" that Chen Mo had released before had exceeded 10 million copies!

When it broke through 10 million copies, the well-known magazine "Time" in the United States contacted Chen Mo and conducted an interview with him.

After the interview ended, and the issue of the weekly magazine interviewing Chen Mo was released, fans who liked Chen Mo scrambled to buy it!

In just one day, 10,000 copies were sold!

This made "Time" magazine excited as well.

Soon, time reached October.

The several award ceremonies for which Chen Mo was nominated were held one after another.

Chen Mo first went to the MTV Music Awards ceremony.

Or it was a coincidence, but when walking the red carpet at the venue, he happened to run into Jackie Chan.

Jackie Chan had been doing very well in the last two years!

Three years ago, he officially entered Hollywood with the movie "Rumble in the Bronx", and then this year, he established his status in Hollywood with the movie "Rush Hour".

Now, it could be said that Jackie Chan was the third actor who was doing the best in Hollywood, besides Chen Mo and the previous Bruce Lee!

As for why he appeared at a music award ceremony, it was because "Rush Hour" this year made him very popular, so he took advantage of this movie to appear in some relatively large venues as much as possible to brush up on some fame and screen time.

"Mo Mo, long time no see."

Seeing Chen Mo walking over on the red carpet, Jackie Chan deliberately slowed down his pace, and after Chen Mo came to his side, he smiled and greeted him.

"Hello, Jackie Chan." ===== CHAPTER 127 =====
