Chapter 291

Chen Mo smiled after hearing this and asked, "What film?"

"*Crank*, an action film."

Speaking of this, Cameron paused and added, "Well, actually, it's a film written and directed by the son of a friend of mine. He hopes you can play the lead role, so his father asked me to contact you. I'm just passing on the message; whether you participate or not is up to you. Don't worry about my thoughts."

*Crank*?

Chen Mo frowned and pondered.

A few seconds later, Chen Mo thought of this film!

So it was Jackson's film!

"How about this: I'm at the XX hotel. Have your friend's son bring the script over. I want to look at the script first."

"Okay."

Cameron said.

Then the two chatted briefly before hanging up.

Throwing the phone aside, Chen Mo mounted his horse.

An hour later, Chen Mo and Anne Hathaway, dressed neatly, arrived at the hotel's second-floor restaurant and met the son of Cameron's friend.

"Hello, Chen Mo. You can call me Martin."

Martin hurriedly reached out his hand and said politely.

"Hello, Director Martin. Please sit."

Chen Mo smiled and invited Martin to sit down.

After Martin sat down, he hurriedly took the script out of the bag he brought and handed it to Chen Mo.

"This is the script I wrote."

Chen Mo took the script, opened it, and started reading.

Opposite him, Martin watched Chen Mo reading the script, then looked at Anne Hathaway sitting next to Chen Mo.

Martin didn't feel strange about Anne Hathaway appearing by Chen Mo's side.

After all, that's how Hollywood is; the vast majority of actors have rich and exciting private lives, and for someone at Chen Mo's A-list level, it goes without saying.

Five minutes later.

Chen Mo closed the script and frowned in thought.

The film *Crank* actually couldn't be considered a masterpiece. In later generations, this film didn't achieve very high box office or honors, but Chen Mo was still hesitating whether to participate.

As for why he was considering it, it was mainly because this film was one of the few Hollywood action films that made people's adrenaline soar.

Whether it was the fighting that ran through the entire film or the urgent plot, it made audiences who liked this genre cheer with satisfaction.

In fact, Chen Mo had always wanted to try filming some action movies, and he could use this film as a trial to see if he was truly suitable for it.

Thinking of this, Chen Mo smiled at the slightly nervous Martin opposite him: "A very good script, Director Martin. Can this film accept investment to join the crew?"

"Of course, of course you can!"

Martin nodded hurriedly.

"Good. Then you can contact my agent later. My agent will talk to you about the specific cooperation matters."

Chen Mo said, asked Martin for a pen, and then wrote down Wang Jinghua's phone number.

After all, Sister Wang was his agent, and it was time to find her something to do.

"Okay, Mr. Chen Mo."

Martin nodded hurriedly.

"By the way, regarding the script, I'd like to offer a few suggestions, for example, here..."

Then Chen Mo pointed out the places he felt had problems in the script.

After all, Chen Mo was also a top-tier director; he could see at a glance whether a script was good or bad and where the problems were.

Opposite him, Martin didn't pay much attention at first while listening to Chen Mo's explanation, but after hearing a few sentences, he immediately began to take it seriously.

Half an hour later.

Martin left the hotel happily with the script.

After Martin left, Chen Mo and Anne Hathaway also left the restaurant and returned to the room upstairs.

However, Chen Mo didn't notice a reporter in the corner filming this scene.

The next day.

Hollywood entertainment newspapers reported Chen Mo's gossip.

"Chen Mo and Anne Hathaway's romance exposed? An older woman-younger man relationship!"

"Chen Mo and popular actress staying in the same hotel; the little kid from back then has grown up!"

"How much charm does Anne Hathaway have?"

Once these reports appeared, Chen Mo's fans in North America immediately became angry.

In the eyes of all fans, their idol was the most perfect, so they instinctively felt that it was Anne Hathaway who seduced their idol!

For a time, Anne Hathaway's fame increased greatly. Although it was all bad press, it still made her very popular!

Regarding these messages online, Chen Mo immediately called Liu Yifei and Yang Mi to explain.

The reason was that they were discussing a script, and the two were not staying in the same hotel.

Hearing Chen Mo's reason, although Yang Mi and Liu Yifei believed Chen Mo in their hearts, they were still angry and hung up the phone directly.

Soon, a week passed.

Chen Mo, who had stayed in North America for a week, took his little assistant and flew back to the country.

After getting off the plane, Chen Mo got into the car that came to pick him up.

Once inside the car, Chen Mo was stunned because Wang Jinghua was sitting in the passenger seat.

"Hey, Sister Wang, you even came to pick me up yourself."

Chen Mo said with a smile.

Wang Jinghua rolled her eyes at Chen Mo after hearing this, then took out a newspaper and handed it to Chen Mo.

Chen Mo took the newspaper and glanced at it.

The report in the newspaper was exactly the report from a few days ago about him being with Anne Hathaway in Hollywood.

"This matter has spread to the country, and I am currently handling the public relations."

Seeing Chen Mo looking at the report, Wang Jinghua said a sentence.

Chen Mo smiled after hearing this: "Thank you, Sister Wang."

"Mo Mo, be careful next time. Too many scandals will have a great impact on your future."

Wang Jinghua said.

Chen Mo smiled after hearing this: "Sister Wang, I know about this, but I think sometimes it's not a good thing for a person to have too good an image in the outside world. After all, no one is perfect. When you appear too perfect, in the future, as long as you make a small mistake, or do something slightly wrong, that mistake will be infinitely magnified."

Chen Mo's cheeky words stunned Wang Jinghua.

She felt that what Chen Mo said made sense, but she felt something was wrong somewhere.

Looking at the slightly stunned Wang Jinghua, Chen Mo smiled and changed the subject: "By the way, Sister Wang, has a director named Martin contacted you recently?"

Hearing Chen Mo mention this, Wang Jinghua said seriously: "He has. We have reached a preliminary agreement on cooperation. We will invest 5 million USD, and they are currently preparing the crew. The estimated time is about a month. If you have time then, you can go over; if not, you can film other people's scenes first."

Speaking of this, Wang Jinghua thought of something and added: "By the way, there is one more thing. Director Chen Kaige's film *The Promise* has wrapped up. That film is a big production, and our *Crazy Stone* will also wrap up in about a month. The two films are very likely to clash."

"It's fine, let them clash."

Chen Mo smiled.

If *Crazy Stone* had clashed with last year's *House of Flying Daggers*, Chen Mo would still be worried, but if it clashed with *The Promise*, Chen Mo wouldn't be afraid at all.

After all, Director Chen Kaige once said a sentence: No one will understand *The Promise* within five years...

So at this time, really no one understood it, and the box office naturally went without saying.

"Whatever you want."

Seeing Chen Mo's indifferent attitude, Wang Jinghua didn't say anything more.

The two chatted.

Soon the car arrived at the company.

After arriving at the company, Chen Mo discovered that the company had recently hired quite a few newcomers.

Among them were Hu Ge, who had his role as Li Xiaoyao snatched by him, and Zhang Yi, a powerful actor of later generations who never participated in variety shows.

Seeing these two, Chen Mo greeted them with a smile, which left them flattered. After all, at this time, the two were just newcomers who had just stepped into the circle, while Chen Mo was an A-list star.

After greeting the two, Chen Mo took the elevator directly to the top floor and then came to Chen Fu's office.

Seeing Chen Mo enter, Chen Fu glared at him, obviously blaming Chen Mo for the scandal with Anne Hathaway in North America. ===== CHAPTER 293 =====
