Chapter 37: You play with me when I'm small, I'll play with you when I grow up

The child is too young? Still needs to go to school?

The Golden Harvest person in charge frowned and pondered.

A few seconds later, a smile appeared on his face: "Mr. Chen, I'm afraid you've misunderstood. Signing with our company doesn't delay his schooling; our filming time is basically only during holidays and breaks."

Chen Fu shook his head and said: "I'm sorry, if we sign with you, we would definitely have to move from Jingcheng to Xiangjiang. I still have some businesses in Jingcheng, and I have no intention of moving here for the time being."

Hearing Chen Fu's refusal, the expression on the Golden Harvest person in charge's face tightened, then he said helplessly: "Then why don't you consider it again, Mr. Chen?"

"Mm, okay."

Chen Fu nodded.

Then the person in charge chatted with Chen Fu for a few more sentences and left the room.

Soon, a day passed...

That day, the first-day box office results came out, and the total first-day box office in Xiangjiang was 500,000 Hong Kong dollars!

500,000 Hong Kong dollars on the first day!

For a low-budget film with a cost of only 600,000 RMB and no big-name stars, it could be said that it broke even in one day!

Inside the hotel room...

When Chen Fu and Chen Mu learned of this news, they jumped up with excitement!

Recalling what happened before, the two felt like they were in a dream at this moment!

Because of their son's request, they took him to the Zhuozhou Film and Television City to play, and then the son muddled through and bought a script for tens of thousands of yuan from someone, and then muddled through and invested in this script.

And in the end, it became a hit!

"500,000 in one day! That's 5 million in ten days! With 54%, we'll get at least 2.6 million Hong Kong dollars! Old Chen, how much is 2.6 million Hong Kong dollars in RMB?"

Chen Mu asked hurriedly.

Chen Fu said: "It's probably a little over 2 million."

"A little over 2 million! Is our family millionaires now?!"

Chen Mu's eyes lit up.

Chen Fu nodded with a smile.

Chen Mo, sitting on the bed nearby, looked at the excitement of the couple, and couldn't help but reveal a smile on his face.

Time passed very quickly...

One day... two days... three days...

In the following time, the box office of "Shaolin Popey II: Wulong Yuan" grew day by day. The second-day box office was 650,000 Hong Kong dollars, the third day was 700,000 Hong Kong dollars, and the fourth day reached a staggering 770,000 Hong Kong dollars!

In this not-so-large Xiangjiang, a low-budget film with a single-day box office reaching 770,000 Hong Kong dollars could completely be said to have broken the low-budget record!

And with the explosion of the box office, the actors in it also entered the sight of some people!

Among them, Meng Da, who played the eldest senior brother, was spotted by Zhou Xingxing, who had become quite famous last year, and received an audition invitation for his new work "All for the Winner."

And Ye Zhen, who played Xiao Hong, also received constant film offers due to her pure and beautiful appearance!

Xie Miao, who played Xiao Long, signed with the Golden Harvest Company!

And as the most attractive person in the play, Chen Mo, of course, gained the most!

Just from this one movie, Chen Mo was almost a household name. Chen Fu, who was staying at the hotel, could receive countless audition invitations every day, as well as advertisements and endorsements.

However, these were all rejected by Chen Fu.

Mainly because his own son seemed to have lost interest and didn't want to do endorsements or auditions, so Chen Fu was rejecting them.

September 13th.

It had been fourteen days since the release of "Shaolin Popey II: Wulong Yuan," and the total box office for the fourteen days was 5.9 million Hong Kong dollars!

In addition, the daily box office remained above 600,000!

According to this box office growth, the total box office of this film could completely break 10 million!
