Chapter 546: Departing for the Land of Smiles, preparing to film *Lost in Thailand*

There are countless wealthy people who donate every year.

But most of them are donations of a few million or tens of millions.

Occasionally, when a donation of over 100 million is made, it is immediately reported by the media for hype.

Chen Mo actually did so much charity last year, and apart from the popularity sparked by the thank-you letters from children in impoverished mountain areas last year, the public knew absolutely nothing about Chen Mo's donations.

This was simply taking low-profile donating to the extreme.

"The cumulative number of impoverished households helped is 12 million, and over ten thousand families with cancer have received Chen Mo's funding, successfully fighting against the illness!"

The host hadn't finished reading yet.

But the look in her eyes as she looked at Chen Mo slowly carried more respect and admiration.

It might be an insignificant sum of money to Chen Mo, but for another family, it was the path that changed them toward a different life.

Having saved so many families, how could anyone say Chen Mo wasn't qualified to be selected as one of the Top Ten People Who Moved China?

"Chen Mo, I want to know what supports you in donating to so many people?"

The host finished reading and interviewed Chen Mo.

"I know what it feels like to reach a dead end, so I want to give them a hand."

Chen Mo thought for a moment and said earnestly.

In his past life, his whole family ended up with no good outcome precisely because they were at their wit's end.

If anyone had reached out to help them back then, perhaps his family could have found a way out of the predicament.

Now, the money in his account keeps increasing.

To be honest, it is already enough money for his whole family to live on for several lifetimes.

Since the numbers have no use for them, it might as well be better to donate the excess money.

Of course, Chen Mo also acts according to his ability; the reason he donated so much money last year was entirely because 2008 is a special year, and a major disaster that will sadden everyone is about to happen.

He also wants to try his best to save this disaster.

As soon as Chen Mo's voice fell, a round of applause erupted from below.

"Chen Mo deserves this award!"

"For those impoverished families, Chen Mo is the light that saves them."

"This feeling of giving people hope is truly moving."

"Don't be prejudiced against Chen Mo; he has been doing real things for everyone."

"With so much data, how much charity has Chen Mo actually done in such a low-profile way!"

The audience was moved by Chen Mo's actions.

Now they truly believed in Chen Mo's qualifications.

Soon the awards ceremony ended; the program was broadcast live, and media reporters reported the news of Chen Mo's donations at the first opportunity.

"The Low-Profile Charity King, Chen Mo!"

"The Great Philanthropist Unknown to Everyone!"

"Chen Mo, One of the Top Ten People Who Moved China!"

"The Pure Heart of a Youth!"

In an instant, the news of Chen Mo's donations shocked the whole country.

If Chen Mo was previously famous just as an actor and singer, then Chen Mo's identity as a philanthropist was becoming more and more well-known.

And this identity as a philanthropist wasn't something he exposed himself, but rather a reputation spread one by one through the mouths of others.

It was more convincing than those who fake charity.

After another period of time, the *Three Lives, Three Worlds* film crew finished shooting, and Chen Mo also wrapped up and returned to the company.

Mo Mo Company.

"By the way, Sister Wang, how is the progress of the house reinforcement work in Wenchuan going?"

Chen Mo asked Wang Jinghua about the progress of the Wenchuan house reinforcement work.

"They are all carrying out the final step of construction, but the deadline you gave is before May; I estimate that there will still be a portion of houses that won't be reinforced in time, and the mountain roads won't be able to be finished either."

Wang Jinghua shook her head.

The main thing is that the deadline Chen Mo gave is too short, and it might not be possible to finish construction in such a short time.

"Then invest another 1 billion; try to repair as much as possible. It can be considered doing one's best and leaving the rest to fate."

Chen Mo said.

Although Wang Jinghua didn't understand why Chen Mo was so persistent about reinforcing the houses and roads in Wenchuan, she still gave the instructions according to his wishes.

"By the way, I remember that the manned spaceflight project is also starting this year; help me donate 500 million to the Aviation Bureau."

Chen Mo remembered something and spoke up. ===== CHAPTER 548 =====
