Chapter 249

~6 min read 1,189 words

Immediately after, Spider-Man swung on his web and arrived at Fisk Tower!

Wilson Fisk, as the head of the Fisk Group, was also the leader of New York’s underground forces!

His sins were monstrous!

His nickname made all of New York tremble with fear!

Kingpin!

A helicopter circled above Fisk Tower, and SWAT teams had completely surrounded the building.

A news reporter on the scene was telling the audience the situation:

"Recently, Wilson Fisk has faced multiple charges, including murder, extortion, smuggling, illegal arms trafficking, robbery, and over 160 other felonies!"

"The prosecutor's office has received anonymous tips and definitive evidence, and has mastered all of Fisk’s criminal facts."

"But Fisk is resisting arrest with force and holding hostages. SWAT teams have arrived and are taking rescue measures. CNN reporter for you, reporting live!"

Spider-Man crouched on the roof next to Fisk Tower, the reflection of the building visible in his lenses.

It was clear that the anonymous whistleblower was Spider-Man himself.

Seeing the SWAT team suffering casualties and Fisk Tower’s heavy armed forces,

Spider-Man knew it was time for him to make an appearance!

To catch the bandits, first catch the king!

He swung over on his web, used a flashy move to break through the top-floor glass, and went straight for Kingpin himself!

"Whoa!"

The moment they saw Kingpin, the audience in the theater gasped.

Kingpin wasn't the main villain of *Spider-Man 3*; he was just a cameo at the beginning.

But Xu Can still spent a fortune to create quite realistic special effects!

The actor playing Kingpin was Vincent D'Onofrio, the Kingpin from the Netflix series *Daredevil*.

And with the special effects, his height exceeded 2 meters! Standing in front of Peter Parker, he looked like a mountain!

"You shouldn't have come here, little bug."

Clearly, in the years between *Spider-Man 2* and *Spider-Man 3*, the two had clashed head-on many times.

And for this plot, Xu Can had already produced a 15-minute short film to reveal the conflict between Spider-Man and Kingpin, supplementing the story background.

"Oh, Mr. Fisk, you really are a naughty boy. Do you really think you can stay above the law?"

"What's it to you? The whistleblower material was clearly sent by you!"

"Anonymous tip, who knows who it was? Maybe it was some concerned New York citizen!"

"Damn it!"

Kingpin looked like a big fat man, but in reality, 90% of his body was muscle!

This setting was a bit ridiculous, but it didn't stop his combat power from being astonishing!

Less than 3 minutes into the film, the first big battle broke out!

Spider-Man and Kingpin were in a cramped office, causing all sorts of destruction; it was like fighting the Hulk!

Kingpin had strength, so Spider-Man used agile footwork to dodge and find opportunities to counterattack!

While fighting, Spider-Man didn't forget to talk trash, using words to mentally pollute him.

"You should lose some weight, sir; your movements are too slow!"

"That was a good punch, but you broke the stuff, don't put it on my tab."

"What a pity, this vase must have been expensive, right?"

Kingpin got angrier the more he fought, eventually losing his cool. His movements became too wide, and Spider-Man caught an opening.

Using his web to create a slingshot, he delivered a charged flying kick directly to Kingpin’s jaw, knocking him unconscious to the ground.

Sure enough, every time the superhero finished, the NYPD arrived fashionably late.

The heavily armed SWAT team surrounded Kingpin, and Spider-Man pointed wearily at the big fat man covered in webs on the ground.

"He's all yours; I need to go back and get some sleep."

The NYPD had a good relationship with him; one officer even gave Spider-Man a high-five.

Spider-Man leaped off the top of Fisk Tower,

and after another first-person "Spydercam" stunt shot that left the audience cheering,

[Spider-Man III: Sinister 6]

The title *Spider-Man 3: The Sinister Six* appeared!

The entire audience was thrilled!

*Spider-Man 3* was indeed fully upgraded!

If just the opening fight against Kingpin was this cool, how satisfying would the fight against the Sinister Six be!

*Spider-Man 3: The Sinister Six*

This was a movie that had never appeared in Xu Can’s previous life.

The Tobey Maguire *Spider-Man* trilogy was classic, but it had its flaws.

The Marvel Holland trilogy wasn't really Spider-Man, but rather Tony Stark’s big son.

The Garfield *Amazing* duology also had major flaws, yet it had a certain fan base.

Everyone had been waiting for *The Amazing Spider-Man 3*, waiting for Garfield’s Spider-Man.

Unfortunately, this *Amazing Spider-Man 3* died halfway through its inception, becoming a regret for many fans.

Xu Can had also wondered, what if they had actually filmed the Sinister Six back then?

No choice, there was no reference now; everything had to rely on himself.

The director was Marc Webb, yes, but the screenwriter, producer, and lead actor were all himself.

The co-director was also himself, damn it!

Marc Webb’s creative input was completely suppressed by Xu Can.

But Marc Webb himself enjoyed it; Xu Can was an Oscar-winning director, so it didn't matter if the film bore his mark.

Marc Webb was responsible for being on set and enjoying the romance.

This *Spider-Man 3* was equivalent to Xu Can’s original work, accumulating some experience for the subsequent original *The Three-Body Problem*.

……

Spider-Man capturing the villain Kingpin was just an appetizer in the film.

After Kingpin was imprisoned, the real movie had just begun!

A series of news reports described the background of the story.

Peter had originally thought that by catching Kingpin, he could wipe out the underground forces of New York and reduce crime in the entire city.

But he had thought too simply.

Catching one underground force and putting them in prison wouldn't completely eliminate crime; instead, they would be replaced by other forces.

New York City gradually saw gangs of all sizes appearing, carving up Kingpin’s territory.

Due to the lack of sufficiently strong constraints and norms, these new gang members were simply lawless!

In order to break someone out of prison, they actually caused destruction at New York’s most important maximum-security prison!

Subsequently, the film used a cool, fast-paced, multi-line narrative,

introducing the origin story of each member of the "Sinister Six" with the most concise shots.

……

First was the Little Green Goblin.

After the prison was destroyed, "Little Green Goblin" Harry Osborn escaped in the chaos. His whole body glowed green; he had clearly been eroded by the Green Goblin personality.

After escaping prison, he broke into a laboratory controlled by the Osborn Group and stole Doctor Octopus’s mechanical arms.

……

On the other side, when the Little Green Goblin was acting at Osborn Technology, he triggered a group building alarm.

When the alarm sounded, engineer Max was debugging equipment in the energy laboratory.

The sudden alarm caused the laboratory to start a lockdown procedure. Max was accidentally sealed into a bio-energy generator tank. After stimulation and mutation by powerful electric currents,

Max’s body was decomposed, his whole body turned into electricity, and he could move freely through the power grid!

Electro was born!
