Chapter 382: The Avengers Assemble! Hyping Up the Whole Crowd!

Inside the Quinjet, something seemed off between Steve Rogers and Tony Stark.

In freewheeling Stark's eyes, Cap was an old antique in a costume, completely out of step with the world.

In Rogers's eyes, Stark was a playboy, an arrogant loudmouth who only knew how to run his mouth and coast on his father's name.

Neither of them thought the other had the right to be in the Chouzhelian Alliance.

"Something's off. He gave up resistance way too easily — he must be plotting something."

"Oh? Though for an old-timer, you're not bad with your moves. Were those Pilates just now? Pretty much like aerobics."

"What?"

"You probably don't know that word — you've been an ice popsicle all these years." Stark's mouth ran without a filter.

Just as the two were at each other's throats, thunder rumbled across the sky!

Plenty of viewers who were more perceptive, or familiar with Marvel, couldn't help getting excited!

First, a fast approach to the jet from Lei Shen's POV, then a cut to the people inside the cabin hearing movement on top.

Immediately after, a bolt of lightning lit up the jet, and on it stood a cloaked figure — mighty and domineering.

"Oh wow, I really do hate lightning." Loki grinned.

A few of the shot breakdowns bore a faint resemblance to the original, yet with differences.

The presence Lei Shen brought was slightly amplified, while also making it seem as though Loki had everything under his control.

The characterization went a layer deeper.

Without a word, Lei Shen — the moment the Jicang Sect opened — snatched Loki away.

Stark suited up in his Iron armor and took off right behind.

"We need an attack plan."

"I already have a plan — attack." Stark flew off without looking back.

Seeing gods fight it out, Black Widow could only quip:

"I'm sitting this one out."

"I don't have a choice." Rogers grabbed a parachute and jumped from the jet without hesitation.

Elsewhere, Lei Shen brought Loki to the edge of a cliff.

Seeing his brother, dead and now alive again, Thor was overcome with emotion.

"Hand over the Tesseract and come home with me."

Loki was clearly moved, but he was a man with grand ambitions.

"I have no home."

"Listen to me carefully, little brother…"

Thor hadn't even finished speaking when a streak of fire flew past and carried him off.

Leaving Loki standing there alone.

"Uh, I'm listening." The little gag from 490 made the audience chuckle, but they were soon caught up in tension again.

Before the Chouzhelian Alliance's three heavyweights could team up against an outside threat, they started fighting among themselves first.

Iron Man used his suit's abilities to go head-to-head with Asgard's God-King, Thor.

"You have no idea what you're up against!"

"Emmm… the Shakespearean theater troupe?" Tony Stark's words were still steeped in sarcasm.

"You asked for it."

The might of Lei Shenzhichui left multiple parts of the Iron Man suit damaged.

In the original, Iron Man and Lei Shen were roughly trading blows back and forth; director Joss Whedon deliberately nerfed Lei Shen's power.

Xu Can made a few small adjustments here,

After all, Thor is Asgardian — even without awakening his lightning, without the power of God-King Odin, Lei Shen is still at the absolute pinnacle of Earth's pyramid.

And Stark's Mark 3 clearly lacked the firepower; if he wanted to go toe-to-toe with Lei Shen, he'd at least need to upgrade the armor.

So here, Tony Stark was put on the back foot — his palm repulsors could barely break through, but Lei Shen's hammer gave Iron Man serious trouble.

The hammer was thrown out and Iron Man dodged with his mobility, but the hammer came with built-in tracking and slammed Iron Man hard into the ground on the spot!

"No way? Asgardians can just violate the laws of physics?"

Tony couldn't help firing off a quip.

"Warning, armor damage has reached critical mass, Sir. I recommend immediate withdrawal."

Jarvis had already started raising the alarm.

"Oh wow, afraid there's no time for that."

Tony watched in some horror as Lei Shen Thor was lining up his finishing move.

The kitty-cat hammer summoned a bolt of heavenly lightning, coming straight for him!

Boom!

The powerful lightning pierced straight through the armor; Tony was zapped until he was all tingly, and nearly thought he was done for.

"Charge at 400%!"

Tony raised an eyebrow — oh-ho?

Boom!

As he rose, a powerful core beam blasted Thor away in an instant!

Thor was furious too, and was about to charge over and finish off this tin can, when suddenly a shield flew in, ricocheting back and forth between the two of them and breaking up the fight.

"Hey! Had enough fighting?"

Thor paid no heed to anyone, leaping into the air with his hammer, intending to take out this peacemaker first.

The collision of hammer and shield unleashed a ferocious shockwave!

At this moment, the Dolby surround sound and visual effects were cranked to the max,

the entire theater seemed swept up in the clash between Captain America and Lei Shen!

The surrounding forest was instantly leveled to the ground!

The Big Three of the Avengers finally calmed down and lined up for their first group photo!

The audience in the theater couldn't help but start clapping and cheering!

"Stop fighting, alright?"

"I guess this counts as 'no fight, no acquaintance,' huh."

At this point, the film's first act was complete, and the second act's rising action gradually began.

While the three were fighting, Loki didn't run away; instead, he obediently allowed himself to be locked into a specially made cage.

Regarding how to handle Loki, the Avengers members clearly weren't in agreement.

"We11… he's an adopted son." Lei Shen delivered another laugh line.

As one of the most tragic characters in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Lei Shen is also Marvel's comedic relief.

The Avengers members began their initial cooperation in a state of mutual wariness,

Luo Bote Tang Ni's performance grew increasingly natural, and many small snacking mannerisms fleshed out the image of Tony Stark.
