Chapter 5

Amidst Teacher Liang's confusion and disappointment, and the mixed gazes of worry and mockery from his classmates, the bus finally returned to the school.

Su Chen was thinking about the Holy Ring, and didn't have time to say much to Teacher Liang, who was hesitating to speak, so he quickly said goodbye and hurried home.

Back in the rented room, Su Chen had a thought and summoned Gatomon again:

"Come out, Gatomon!"

A green light flashed, a card appeared in the air, instantly transforming into an upright cat-like creature, landing accurately on the chair in front of Su Chen.

"View information!"

【Gatomon】

Species: Digimon

Attribute: Holy

Level: Bronze One-Star

Status: Healthy (Combat power incomplete)

Quality: Green Excellent

Talent Skills: Cat Punch, Cat's Eye

Introduction: A petite Mature-stage Digimon. Because it lacks the Gold-plated Lion Claw and the Holy Ring on its tail, it only has combat power equivalent to a Child-stage Digimon. It has a vigilant personality and likes to play pranks.

————

"Sure enough, no Gold-plated Lion Claw, and no Holy Ring!"

Su Chen looked at Gatomon, feeling somewhat melancholy.

"What kind of look is that? Are you looking down on me?"

Gatomon was angered by Su Chen's somewhat disappointed look, and immediately showed its little cat claws to question him.

In the original work, when following Myotismon, Gatomon challenged the five Mature-stage Digimon of the chosen children single-handedly, and its record was brilliant!

Unfortunately, after following Kari, it started slacking off all the way; it can be said that 'darkening makes one three times stronger, while washing clean makes one three points weaker.'

However, its true combat power can be seen from this.

Even if it is currently at incomplete combat power, the existence of the strong control ability 【Cat's Eye】 remains.

Therefore, Gatomon doesn't feel it is weak; on the contrary, its potential is extremely huge, it's just that it can't be exerted for the time being.

"Ah, this, hahaha, no, no, you're overthinking it. You're so powerful, how could I look down on you? Hahaha..."

Seeing that his thoughts had been detected by Gatomon, Su Chen was surprised and quickly denied it, taking the opportunity to reach out and rub Gatomon's fluffy little head.

After all, getting close to one's own Life-Bound Demon Card is a recognized secret among Demon Card Masters.

So, in order not to let it dwell on the previous matter, Su Chen quickly changed the subject: "Gatomon, cultivation lies in diligence. It's getting late, let's cultivate!"

"Fine, I'll barely believe you once!" Gatomon saw through Su Chen's clumsy acting, but since the person in front of it was its master, it chose to see through it without saying it, "Then, how should Source Energy be absorbed?"

Su Chen scratched his head, rummaged through the memories in his head, and soon found detailed information:

"I remember it requires intimate contact between the card-controlled battle pet and the Demon Card Master. The battle pet can perceive and absorb the Source Energy in the air by itself and convert it for the Demon Card Master."

"The absorption speed depends on the battle pet's quality; the higher the quality, the faster the absorption."

"According to the degree of intimacy, the conversion speed will also be different, but generally, the more intimate the relationship, the faster the conversion of Source Energy!"

Su Chen suddenly understood, and immediately picked up Gatomon, sat on the chair, and started grooming its fur.

"Source Energy... I feel it, such thin Source Energy!"

Gatomon lay on Su Chen's lap, feeling very comfortable being groomed, closed its eyes to probe its perception, and immediately detected the thin Source Energy roaming in the air, using its mind to pull a trace into its body.

The Source Energy entered its body, turned into a warm current, passed through Gatomon's body, and then entered Su Chen's body through contact.

"What a comfortable feeling, is this Source Energy!"
