Chapter 14: God-Bestowed Gift

The rain had already stopped.

Several hundred members of the Fox Clan arrived at the edge of the wasteland and began to till the soil.

"The soil here is so fertile!"

A fox-person said joyfully.

This vast wasteland, after being burned to ashes by Lin Yan, had indeed revealed soil terrifyingly rich and fertile.

Beneath the wasteland lay a thick layer of black earth.

The vegetation covering the surface had all been burned into plant ash, and after being drenched by the heavy rain, this plant ash merged with the soil layer, making the wasteland even more fertile.

The Fox Clan chieftain stood at the edge of the wasteland, gazing out over this boundless expanse.

This wasteland, once teeming with poisonous vermin, was truly a god-bestowed land!

This place was already on the fringe of the Beastfolk lands; no Beastfolk tribe was willing to come to this barren ground. Yet unexpectedly, because of a great fire set by the Great Lord of Flames, the barren ground had been transformed into a thousand-li stretch of fertile soil!

It truly was a grand feat only a divine spirit could accomplish!

"There's far too much land here—we could never use it all. Someone come here."

The Fox Clan chieftain said.

Two fox-people stepped forward.

The Fox Clan chieftain said to one of them: "Go notify our clanspeople scattered among the other tribes—tell them all to come here."

"Yes, Chieftain."

That fox-person hurried off.

The Fox Clan chieftain then took out a letter and handed it to the other clansman: "You sneak back to the main clan quietly and deliver this letter of mine to the chieftain of the Grey Fox Tribe. Remember—don't let anyone discover you."

"Understood!"

That fox-person took the letter and left.

"Mother, are you planning to persuade the Grey Fox clan to migrate here as well?"

The veiled fox-woman Sister Qing Ling stepped forward and said softly.

In her hands, she was also carrying a basket.
