Chapter 63: Being an Actor Is Really Hard
Lucy held her head, her expression filled with frustration; she feared her presence might have caused some negative consequences.
Erza had specifically warned her not to interact too much with the guild members—time paradoxes could cause massive damage, completely altering their present and future.
If her actions led to the collapse of the future or drastic changes in the world, Lucy could never forgive herself.
She had secretly breathed a huge sigh of relief upon escaping from the guild hall; without Mo En’s help, she had no confidence she could shake off the overeager members or avoid exposing herself.
“Thank goodness Mo En was always so helpful since childhood.”
Lucy sighed, seeing this younger version of Mo En—she was truly moved; he was the idol she had admired since childhood, and those childhood fantasies were utterly real.
Of course, after truly getting to know Mo En later, she felt betrayed—massively betrayed!
“What ‘powerful Spirit Mage who uses Spirit Magic’? That was a lie!”
Lucy clenched her teeth; having loved Spirits since childhood, the truth had shattered her illusions completely.
Because before learning the full truth, she had genuinely believed Mo En was a powerful Spirit Mage!
“Forget it—finding people matters more. I can’t let Natsu, Gray, and Happy cause chaos; those three are utterly unreliable!”
Pushing aside her emotional turmoil, Lucy told herself she must act quickly—this was a matter of vital importance!
Walking down the bustling streets of Magnolia, Lucy looked lost; she wanted to find them, but had no idea where to start.
As she walked, she heard a familiar voice—Erza’s voice.
“I can’t take it anymore—I don’t understand anything!”
Erza’s cry of despair made Lucy’s lip twitch; clearly, returning to the future would be difficult.
Inside a deserted tent by the roadside, Erza was crouched on the ground, her rear end in the air, a white cat tail behind her swaying violently—almost leaving afterimages!
The speed of that cat tail clearly reflected its owner’s extreme anxiety.
Holding the magic book that had caused their time travel, Erza had studied it for a long time, and finally let out a wail—she understood nothing of its contents.
Erza suddenly thought of Rebby; even this younger version of Rebby might be able to help her decipher the book.
As Erza was in deep distress, Lucy the bunny girl arrived beside the tent—and immediately widened her eyes.
Because outside the tent, she saw another tiny armored figure—a miniature version of Erza!
“Er—!”
Lucy had been about to warn Erza, but quickly clamped her hand over her mouth—calling out her name would be disastrous; their disguises might be exposed instantly!
Under Lucy’s horrified gaze, young Erza walked toward adult Erza.
At that moment, Lucy’s heart pounded with unbearable tension—she genuinely felt as if the world might collapse.
“Hey, cat girl.”
“Hey, bunny girl.”
Under Lucy’s gaze, young Erza spoke, calling out to adult Erza—but for some reason, Lucy thought she heard an echo, and it was a male voice.
It turned out Lucy wasn’t the only one who heard it; both the young and adult Erzas turned their heads simultaneously toward her direction.
“Mo En? How did Itachi get here?”
Seeing the speaker, young Erza spoke, her face full of confusion.
Meanwhile, the cat-girl Erza inside the tent scrambled out quickly, her cat tail swaying even more wildly.
“Mo En?”
The cat-girl Erza’s eyes brimmed with intense curiosity; the moment she saw Mo En, it seemed she had already remembered everything that had happened.
“Huh?!”
Lucy turned around in shock—and there was Mo En. She instantly realized he must have followed her.
“Itachi two weird women—one a cat girl, one a bunny girl—is this some new trend now?”
Looking at the two mature, sensual women, Mo En remarked, already recognizing the red-haired cat girl as the grown-up Erza.
“Yeah, these outfits are really strange. Two weirdos.”
Young Erza agreed, nodding seriously; she thought these two looked utterly bizarre—she’d never seen anyone dressed like this.
“.”
Mo En stared at calm Erza, his eyes filled with disbelief.
‘Wait, can’t Itachi see it? Isn’t it obvious?’
He looked from young Erza to adult Erza in her cat-girl outfit, then fell silent.
This disguise… was just terrible.
“Uh, yeah, sort of—it’s kinda popular, haha.”
Lucy laughed awkwardly, brushing off the topic; she didn’t want to dress like this either!
“Sorry! We’re leaving now!”
Erza jumped up from the ground, grabbed Lucy’s arm, and tried to bolt away—she wouldn’t even look at Mo En again.
“Wait!”
But young Erza blocked their escape, her eyes narrowed with suspicion—she sensed something fishy about these two.
“Ugh!”
Both Erza and Lucy let out a joint cry of despair—but stopped moving; they couldn’t harm young Erza.
“Have either of Itachi seen a pink-haired girl with a scarf and a shirtless pervert nearby? They look like they really don’t get along.”
Erza asked; she had been searching outside for Gray and Natsu because those bastards had stolen her cake—her favorite cake, the one she’d saved for later!
“Gray and Natsu?”
The cat-girl Erza blurted out reflexively—she knew that description too well.
“Ugh!”
Lucy groaned again, making Erza deeply embarrassed.
She had repeatedly warned Lucy, Natsu, Gray, and Happy—but before they even did anything, she herself had made a huge mistake!
‘How do I fix this?’
Erza groaned inwardly—with Mo En here, she and Lucy might be stripped bare down to their underwear!
“Itachi two—”
Mo En opened his mouth, a thousand wild thoughts galloping through his mind.
These two made it impossible for him to pretend he hadn’t noticed anything!
