Chapter 79: Dad, Ye Cheng this brat started fighting and hit people

So he only left a few spider snails and a dead parrotfish in the snakeskin bag.

The other valuable goods were all placed in the water tank, and then the lid was put on.

The bucket held two spider snails and two blue crabs, meant as a gift for Da Liu and them, to give each other face—you're good, I'm good, everybody's good.

But looking at Da Liu now, he might be a little dissatisfied.

Seeing Ye Cheng had no intention of opening the box, a person stepped out from behind Da Liu, rudely trying to open the water tank.

Ye Cheng grabbed his hand and bent it back, his face darkened, and he pointed at him saying, "A Yong, what are you doing?"

He was someone who hung out with Da Liu, Ye Cheng also knew him; his nickname was A Yong, he was rather nasty and willing to get his hands dirty.

A Yong had his face rebuked by Ye Cheng, a flash of killing intent appeared in his eyes, "You dare point at me?"

"A Yong, we all know each other, you just came up and started messing with my stuff—what's your problem pointing at me?"

A Yong gave two cold laughs and shouted loudly, "Heh, your stuff—this is Liu Village, not your Baiyun Village."

"This is indeed Liu Village, but the sea isn't Liu Village's; these are things we ourselves picked up—if you want them, go pick them yourself." Ye Cheng said calmly.

After saying that, he glanced at Da Liu again—Da Liu was the leader.

"Da Liu, I treat you as a brother—you want to ride my motorcycle, I let you ride; I give you a share of the goods—isn't that enough?"

Da Liu rubbed his chin, said nothing, and the situation immediately stalled.

Seeing Da Liu silent, A Yong took it as his assent, swaggered forward, and said, "I'm definitely going to open your box today to have a look—what can you do about it?"

Ye Cheng narrowed his eyes, his gaze suddenly turned sharp, and he said coldly, "Whoever touches my stuff, I'll touch them—it's that simple."

Looking at Ye Lin's indifferent gaze, A Yong felt a bit timid, mainly because they hadn't brought anything, while Ye Cheng held an iron shovel—if they fought, they'd be at a disadvantage.

He turned his head to look at Da Liu—Da Liu realized he couldn't stay silent, straightened up, and gave Ye Cheng a cold stare,

"A Cheng, you say you used our turf—let's see how much cargo you've actually gotten; hiding it like this shows you don't trust us brothers."

Ye Cheng wore a calm face—he simply didn't trust you, his eyes practically glowing green.

"Da Liu, I've given everyone a share—it's enough."

Ye Cheng said it calmly, yet firmly.

"That little bit is enough? Are you trying to send off a beggar?" A Yong snapped harshly.

Ye Cheng pointed at the bucket he'd given them, "These two spider snails are worth a few hundred bucks, the two blue crabs can sell for over a hundred each—together it's over five hundred. Is that still sending off a beggar? Or should you send off me instead?"

"You gave us this little; there's definitely more inside." A Yong wasn't stupid.

"It's more than what you have in hand, but that's what we ourselves gathered—we need to keep some for ourselves." Xiao Hu retorted.

Da Liu took up the thread, "I never said I wouldn't leave you some; I just wanted to have a look. A Cheng, open it for us to see."

Ye Cheng frowned deeply; it seemed Da Liu was dead set on opening the box today—this would be hard to settle.

"Look, it's impossible; if you want to fight, we brothers can certainly accompany you."

Having said that, Ye Cheng silently raised the shovel in his hand.

Xiao Hu also put down the bucket in his hand and gripped the shovel with both hands.

Their meaning was clear—if you dare come, we'll go straight at you with the shovels.

"Damn, who are you trying to scare?"

Da Liu hadn't thought it through yet, when A Yong, that reckless fool, charged forward headfirst and lunged at Ye Cheng.

Ye Cheng's face darkened; he finally had to resort to force.

He lifted the shovel and swept it at A Yong's head; the sharp edge flashed a cold gleam in the darkness.

A Yong hadn't expected Ye Cheng to really dare; he panicked and flung himself to the ground.

The iron shovel gave a clang and was pulled back; Ye Cheng didn't dare actually strike—he could cause a death, just a scare would do.

"Damn, we've come to blows."

"Yong Brother, Ma De, go!"

As soon as they saw Ye Cheng really make a move, Da Liu's side couldn't sit still either—they flung open their clothes and several people rushed forward.

Xiao Hu let out a fierce roar and aimed a solar plexus kick at the one charging in front.

That person was kicked and flew straight backward, bumping into Da Liu and the others, sending them stumbling.

"Brothers, grab your weapons, Ma De, let's do it."

Several people scrambled up from the ground and ran toward the small shop; in no time they came back out wielding iron rods, cursing nonstop in colloquial Chinese.

Ye Cheng furrowed his brows; today's matter was going to blow up—maybe they really couldn't get away without fighting.

He turned his head slightly and said softly to Xiao Hu, "We can't go for lethal blows; in a bit you divert them, I'll look for a chance to lash the goods onto the motorcycle, and we'll drive off."

"Damn it! A Cheng, you little bastard, dare to lay hands."

"Tell you, today you won't get out of Liu Village."

"If I don't break one of your hands today, I don't believe in Liu!"

Da Liu's face full of malice, he brandished an iron rod and loudly cursed at Ye Cheng.

As the two sides were about to clash in armed combat, blood was about to spill on the beach—just at this critical moment.

A solemn voice rang out from the village side.

"Stop! Everyone, stop!"

Ye Cheng looked over; several Liu Village villagers came running, at their head was precisely the Liu Village chief, also Da Liu's father, Liu Zhengming.

Seeing his own father approach, Da Liu's face showed a smug expression, "Dad, hurry over—Ye Cheng this brat started fighting and hit people."

Liu Zhengming led a few villagers to stand before the two groups, first wearing a worried look as he glanced at his son's side—nothing serious, that was fine.

Then he turned his head, finding even asking another question too bothersome, and pointed directly at Ye Cheng saying, "Ye Cheng, just stay in your own village; why have you come to ours to cause trouble? Believe it or not, I'll have your elders teach you a lesson."

Those words directly labeled Ye Cheng as a troublemaker—Ye Cheng would have none of it.

He raised his eyebrows and gave a light chuckle, "Yo, uncle, you've just arrived—there are probably a few people who don't even know yet, and you're already insisting I'm the troublemaker—are you a heavenly judge come to earth, or planning to extort a confession by torture?"

That remark left Liu Zhengming's face a bit embarrassed; this kid, his mouth is quite sharp.

He still has a few villagers behind him; if he were alone, he wouldn't care whether Ye Cheng's mouth is sharp or not.

「Alright, go ahead and say it, so that it doesn't get out that we Liu Village people are bullying you. 」

Ye Cheng pointed to the water tank on the ground and also to Da Liu's bucket over there, 「Well, we went out to gather some stuff from the shore, we've already given them a lot out of brotherly sentiment, yet they still want to forcibly take it; it's that simple. What's in that bucket is what we gave them; it could sell for several hundred. 」

Upon hearing that it could sell for several hundred, the few villagers behind Liu Zhengming craned their necks to look.
