Chapter 58: Doctor Yuan

The Dark Star Flying Vehicle observed Li Yu rushing out with Hunter on his back. His eyes were red, seemingly brimming with tears. He moved at a rapid pace, heading in a specific direction.

The camera of the Flying Vehicle reflected a faint gleam, capturing everything for Dark Star.

"The Ghost Squad was actually defeated. Those were two sets of D+ Grade Pale Armor."

The Commander stared at the running Li Yu on the screen, her gaze locking onto Hunter on his back.

"Who is... this person?"

As soon as her voice faded, the relevant data was pulled up.

"Zeth - North Spiral Star People, previously served under Augu..."

The Commander revealed a thoughtful expression. "Create a file. This person has a close relationship with Li Yu. He is a key figure!"

"You must hold on!" Li Yu shouted occasionally as he sprinted wildly down the street, gritting his teeth.

On his back, Hunter's mind was full of curses. He completely failed to understand the purpose behind Li Yu's bizarre actions.

Li Yu glanced up and spotted the Blue Sky Gene Tower. This was the place!

There were many people in line here, comprising all sorts of life forms. They looked at the heavily panting Li Yu with astonished eyes.

"Out of the way!" Li Yu glared with bloodshot eyes, scolding the crowd.

Such a rude attitude naturally provoked dissatisfaction among some of the bystanders.

A Four-Armed Titan stepped forward. He had crimson skin, his four arms crossed in front of him, and he stood a full head taller than Li Yu.

"Kid, Doctor Yuan does not like people who break the rules," he said, his voice as muffled and hollow as a sealed jar.

"My uncle is dying!" Li Yu roared, his eyes red like those of a stubborn youth.

Mo Duo lowered her head. How had she never realized that this guy's acting skills were so impressive?

"Let it go, Giant Stone. A life is more important..." someone advised.

Giant Stone's expression wavered. Ultimately, he did not continue to block the way. He stepped aside, allowing Li Yu to carry Hunter inside.

Li Yu's lips trembled as he clenched his teeth, fighting back tears. "Thank you, everyone."

"Hurry inside, child. Your uncle should still be saved," someone urged.

The Mechanical Door opened, and Li Yu walked inside carrying Hunter, with Mo Duo following right behind.

High above in the sky, the Dark Star Flying Vehicle monitored the situation below but made no further moves.

"Such severe injuries! Quickly, put him on the operating table!" the doctor, wearing a white coat and a mask, said to Li Yu in surprise.

"Doctor, you absolutely have to save my uncle! He is... my only living relative!" Li Yu pleaded with absolute sincerity, rushing forward to grip the doctor's hands tightly.

Doctor Yuan subtly and forcefully pulled his hands back, yet promised, "Do not worry, I will definitely do everything in my power!"

He quickly shifted into professional mode, carefully examining Hunter's wounds. However, the more he checked, the slower his movements became. Eventually, he stopped entirely, speaking in an uncertain tone.

"The blood on his body... it does not belong to him?"

Hunter's mouth twitched. 'Of course it is not mine. The only thing wrong with me is a dislocated arm.'

"No, it is not..." Li Yu shook his head honestly.

Doctor Yuan: "........."

Finally, after conducting another thorough check, he said, somewhat speechless, "It is just a dislocation. There are no major issues. I thought..."

Acting like someone was on their deathbed over a simple dislocation. It was a complete waste of his emotional investment.

"It is quite simple..." Following a muffled grunt from Hunter, his arm popped back into place. He swung his arm a few times; he did not even need a doctor. He could snap it back himself.

'I wonder what scheme this kid is cooking up now.'

"Alright, you may leave now. Please do not delay the other patients," Doctor Yuan said, his voice returning to its calm and gentle tone.

"He is already fine?" Li Yu asked, his face a picture of disbelief. "Are you sure you do not want to check again?"

"He is already fine," Doctor Yuan repeated.

"No way. My uncle is my only relative. Nothing can go wrong. I have to ensure his safety," Li Yu insisted, simultaneously shooting Hunter a meaningful look.

Hunter understood tacitly. He immediately clutched his arm and began to groan softly.

Doctor Yuan: 'I have practiced medicine for so many years. Am I seriously encountering a Disruptive Patient?'

"Very well..." Unable to win against Li Yu's stubbornness, he could only agree, though he laid down a condition. "When I close the clinic tonight, you must leave."

"No problem!" Li Yu readily agreed.

"Next..." Doctor Yuan pressed a red button.

The Mechanical Door slid open, and a heavy-set Interstellar Human woman waddled in. She was roughly in her fifties or sixties and stood only about one and a half meters tall, looking like a round ball covered in wrinkles.

"Doctor Yuan..." Her voice was so artificially sweet and coquettish that it induced goosebumps.

"It hurts right here again..." She clutched her chest, completely ignoring Li Yu and the other two. Her eyes were fixed solely on Doctor Yuan.

"Have you been taking your medication on time?" Doctor Yuan's voice did not waver in the slightest. There was no hint of annoyance; he remained as gentle as ever.

"I took it right on time..." Her flirtatious demeanor caused a collective shiver to run down the spines of Li Yu and his companions.

"Then let me take another look... Please lie down." Doctor Yuan acted as if he were completely oblivious to her true intentions.

"Okay, okay..." she agreed hastily. Trembling with excitement, she struggled to climb onto the operating table. Doctor Yuan, wearing white gloves, took out specialized Instruments to monitor her heart rhythm.

"There is nothing wrong. Just continue taking your medication on time," Doctor Yuan advised after finishing his diagnosis.

Although the woman looked extremely reluctant to part, she did not say much else and hesitantly took her leave.

"You Elderly Plump Woman, why do you come to bother Doctor Yuan every single day..."

"Exactly! At your age, have you no shame..."

"I do as I please! Is it illegal to see a doctor when I am sick?!"

Li Yu and the other two looked at each other in dismay. The doctor's charm was truly out of the ordinary.

Following that, their eyes were truly opened. There were not many patients who were actually sick. They were all just coming to fish in troubled waters, solely wishing to hear Doctor Yuan's voice.

The most outrageous part was that there were actually a few Male Organisms who acted as though they were being electrocuted while being examined by Doctor Yuan.

"This doctor, is he your objective?" Li Yu's Smart Terminal vibrated slightly, displaying Mo Duo's inquiry.

Looking at Doctor Yuan, who was working meticulously with his head bowed, Li Yu gave an imperceptible nod.

"I cannot see through him..." Mo Duo immediately added.

Li Yu understood what she meant. She was unable to read his emotions.

This time, Li Yu did not respond and simply sat there quietly. As Mo Duo looked at Doctor Yuan's back, several speculations crossed her mind. The only one that approached the truth caused a shudder to ripple through her entire body.
