Chapter 383: Heroic Act

The duel began.

A light rain began to fall slowly from the sky at the threshold.

Judai and the Long Shen faced each other directly, gritting their teeth, his school uniform looking like a cape under the blowing of the gale.

"My turn, draw."

Judai drew first.

"Summon in defense position, Elemental HERO Bubbleman."

The classic big-chinned hero laughed twice and appeared in front of Judai.

Only by using Bubbleman can you know who the big star of this duel is.

"Bubbleman's effect: when this card is summoned/special summoned, if I have no other cards on my field, I draw two cards."

Judai drew two cards rapidly.

"Spell card, Fusion!"

"Fuse Bubbleman on the field with Neo-Spacian Aqua Dolphin in my hand!"

Ding-ling—

A large amount of white mist suddenly appeared in the air.

The raindrops suddenly solidified before hitting the ground, turning into small ice prisms that fell to the ground, making a crisp sound.

A pure white hero waved his cape and landed on the ground in the most standard hero entrance pose.

Elemental HERO Absolute Zero, Level 8, Water Attribute, Warrior-type, ATK 2500.

"Set one card, end turn."

"Good, not a bad first turn." O'Brien stood guard on the vehicle, holding a pistol, observing the surrounding demons from time to time, paying attention to the duel, and said after Judai's turn, "Not only did he increase his hand, but he even Fusion Summoned Absolute Zero, which has the effect of destroying all the opponent's monster cards, and he also prepared a set card; it's perfect, both offensive and defensive."

As a mercenary, the first thing he thought of was, of course, the battle situation.

"Heh, the worst first turn." The Mad King laughed insidiously, "You don't know the power of Lord Long Shen yet!"

"Is this Ba Wang's duel? It's really laughable." The Long Shen couldn't help but shake its head and laugh.

"What?" Many students shouted in shock.

In their view, this opening was already perfect. You have to know that being able to interfere with the opponent's monsters during the opponent's turn is very rare in this world. A card like Absolute Zero, which can destroy all the opponent's monsters as long as it leaves the field, is simply like an amulet; how could it be called weak?

"My turn." The Long Shen extended its giant claw, drew a card from the deck, glanced at it, and put it into the deck, "Activate spell card, Dark World Dealings."

It extended a finger and held it in front of its face: "Both players draw 1 card from their deck. After that, the player who drew selects 1 card from their hand to discard."

"Hmm..." Judai had long since learned about the tactics of the Dark World series from Tiancheng Guang and had dueled with many Dark World demons, so he wasn't too surprised when he saw this card.

However, when the other students saw it, they were still very confused.

What is the point of this card?

Both drew a card, then each discarded a hand card. Judai discarded a useless card, while the Long Shen laughed: "Dark World Hunter Broww's effect: activate when this card is discarded from the hand to the graveyard by an effect. Draw one card."

So, it's a wash, right?

So, essentially, it's for discarding hand cards!

Watching the Long Shen finish drawing, Judai's breathing became more rapid.

He was afraid.

He was fearful.

He wasn't afraid of death.

He was afraid of other things.

Long before coming to this dimension, Judai had thought about what he should do if something happened in this dimension.

Yes.

Having experienced the Seven Stars incident, watching Dadesi disappear in front of him, and because of the Fusion Army, watching Tiancheng Guang accept Kaiba Corporation's interrogation, Judai had been worried in his heart.

If an accident happened again, what should he do?

Like the last time, watching Misawa get hurt while he was helpless, only able to feel frustrated?

If something happened in this world again, what about the principal and teachers who organized this tournament?

Although he was adventuring everywhere every day, this thought in his mind couldn't be shaken off.

Especially when he watched the scene of the legendary Flame Wingman burning himself to ashes, this thought became even more profound.

Therefore, when an accident really happened, he tried his best to protect everything he saw.

He didn't want any more lives to vanish in front of him.

Originally, everything was still within his acceptable range.

Although painful and exhausted, he, along with his newly met friends and former partners, had guarded a camp together.

But now...

"Hehehe, here it comes." The Long Shen glanced at the card it drew and laughed wildly, "Activate field spell, Gates of Dark World!"

Boom!

Boom!

In the distance, the sound of a giant gate opening rang out. Lei En saw this, its face turning gloomy: "Be careful, Lord Ba Wang, this is the core of our Dark World clan!"

Core...

A giant phantom of a gate opened slowly behind Grapha, and then, under the eerie white light, it said maliciously: "While Gates of Dark World is on the field, the ATK/DEF of Fiend-type monsters on the field increases by 300 points.

Then... once per turn, banish 1 Fiend-type monster from your graveyard to activate. Select 1 Fiend-type monster from your hand to discard. After that, draw one card from your deck."

"What I want to discard is... hahahaha, myself—

Dark World Long Shen Grapha!"

What?

Discard yourself?

Grapha slowly sent its own card to the graveyard, then drew a card, and immediately laughed wildly: "Then, my effect activates! When I am discarded to the graveyard by an effect, target 1 card on the opponent's field to activate. Destroy that card!"

"Oh no!" Jim shouted in terror, "No matter how strong Absolute Zero is, it can only activate its effect once. If it's destroyed early, it's a waste."

"Disappear, you so-called... 【Hero】, disappear before my absolute power!"

The Long Shen raised its claw high and swung it at Absolute Zero. The moment Absolute Zero died, the terrifying cold swept across the entire battlefield, even stopping the rain in an instant, but none of this was of any use.

"With this, Big Brother's field is empty! Too dangerous!" Kenzan grabbed the railing and shouted anxiously.

On the other side, the Mad King insidiously scratched a fleeing student's face with its claw, its laughter terrifying, scaring the student into fainting directly in terror.

"Normal summon, Bulong."

The Mad King heard its boss call it, laughed twice, and then walked in front of the Long Shen.

Dark World Mad Wang Bulong, Level 4, Dark Attribute, Fiend-type, ATK 1800→2100.

"2100 points, acceptable!"

"But, if we take this attack, will those demons kill those classmates?"

"No, don't—"

Hearing this possibility, several captured students screamed instantly.

Judai heard this, was stunned for a moment, and then became even more nervous.

"It's not that simple, Ba Wang—my effect in the graveyard!"

"Return 1 Dark World monster on my field to the hand, special summon myself from the graveyard!"

!?

What—

Judai was shocked.

Isn't that 【immortality】?

A small Long Shen flapped its wings, flew out from the darkness, and stayed on the Long Shen's field.

Dark World Long Shen Grapha, Dark Attribute, Level 8, Fiend-type, ATK 2700→3000.

"ATK 3000!"

"It's the same as Blue-Eyes White Dragon—"

"And... as long as there is a Dark World monster, it can be revived infinitely!"

"Go, my clone, let this foolish Ba Wang know my power!"

The Dark World Long Shen leaped high, spread its wings, and swept across the sky like a bat.

At the same time, the students' screams exploded one after another.

Boom!

The powerful force blew away all the ice prisms around, and the intense demon fire even burned the prisms into steam, permeating the entire battlefield.

"Hahaha, Ba Wang, how about that!"

The Long Shen laughed wildly, and the demons under its command, led by the Mad King, also began to laugh wildly.

When the smoke cleared, the Long Shen's smile froze instantly.

Judai Yuki, LP: 4000.

"What?" It was shocked.

It clearly didn't use a set card?

"Ba Wang this, Ba Wang that, who are you talking about—I am Judai Yuki, Judai Yuki of Duel Academy!"
