Chapter 384: Hero's Heart

"Why didn't you take damage?"

The Long Shen asked in confusion.

"Because I banished this from the graveyard." Judai picked up a card and showed it to the opponent, "Necro Gardna."

"This card can be banished during the opponent's turn to negate an attack from an opponent's monster."

"... Oh, the card discarded by Dealings? What a lucky guy." The Long Shen slowly realized.

"Whatever, then, I'll set one card and end this turn."

"Come on, Lord Lord Ba Wang, it's your turn."

"So—what Lord Lord Ba Wang, I am Judai Yuki! A Judai Yuki different from the one you know!" Judai muttered angrily, then drew a card from the deck.

"That's right, Big Brother is Big Brother; what past life, reincarnation, those things are from the past, what does that have to do with Big Brother now! Big Brother is human, the pride of the school!" Kenzan roared.

Sho coughed and supported him from inside the vehicle: "Yeah, Big Brother! Go for it!"

"Sho... Kenzan..." Judai's nervous mood eased slightly.

"Roar roar... human?" The Mad King seemed to have heard something interesting and laughed insidiously again.

"Are you trying to draw a line with us, Lord Lord Ba Wang?" As if hearing a funny joke, the Long Shen laughed wildly, "Did you hear that? Lei En! He has never changed.

It was like that before, never looking at you directly, and it's like that now, never treating you as his subordinate—

You've sacrificed so many companions to protect him, suffered so many injuries, but he will never care about these things!"

Lei En, guarding beside Judai, remained silent and didn't respond.

It had long been accustomed to this treatment; if it were like before, with Lord Lord Ba Wang thanking it, it would instead feel a sense of fear from being flattered.

Judai clenched his fists, his whole body trembling continuously.

Lei En?

Judai indeed didn't care about it at all.

Rather, upon realizing Lei En's true situation, he had already understood.

This demon wasn't helping him at all, but simply "protecting Lord Lord Ba Wang."

It didn't care what he thought, didn't care what he wanted; it just wanted to serve that so-called Lord Lord Ba Wang.

So it wouldn't care about the classmates he wanted to protect, nor would it care about anyone other than himself.

Even, it wasn't any friendlier than the person opposite, equally cold, cruel, and equally likely to hunt down weak spirits!

Even without that Long Shen opposite, wouldn't he be made to suffer like this by this Demon God?

And, even though he showed so much desire to help his companions, this Lei En didn't choose to support him, so was it really "loyal" to him?

It was just loyal to a person it didn't know at all!

"My turn, draw!" Judai drew rapidly.

Watching Judai's firm and decisive appearance, the Long Shen couldn't help but laugh wildly again.

Judai looked at his hand.

The Dark World Long Shen had the ability to revive continuously.

And, maybe there were other means of recovery, which meant it could destroy his monsters continuously, and he would have to face the risk of being attacked directly every turn.

He looked at Neo-Spacian Grand Mole in his hand.

He couldn't use Grand Mole at this time; otherwise, even if he returned the Long Shen to the hand, he would just be destroying one more card this turn, which was really not worth the loss.

Since that was the case.

"Activate spell card, Convert Contact. If I have no monsters on my field, send 1 【Neo-Spacian】 card from my hand and deck to the graveyard. Draw two cards. I send Grand Mole from my hand and Neo-Spacian Air Hummingbird from my deck to the graveyard, and draw two cards."

Judai changed his hand and looked at it again.

Good—

Use this.

"Activate spell card, Neos Fusion!"

Judai inserted a card into the duel disk and clenched his fist.

This was one of the fusion tactics he learned from Tiancheng Guang, possessing efficient fusion power.

"Send the fusion materials determined by the fusion monster from my hand/deck to the graveyard, and special summon 1 fusion monster that uses only two monsters including 【Elemental HERO Neos】 as materials from the extra deck, ignoring the special conditions!"

"After this card is activated, I cannot special summon monsters until the end of the turn."

"I send Neos and Glow Moss from my deck to the graveyard!"

"Fusion Summon, Flame Neos—

Elemental HERO Flare Neos!"

Neos wore a beetle shell, flames burning on his body, and jumped in front of Judai with a shout. The Long Shen and Lei En looked at this monster and felt the inner nature hidden beneath its surface together.

This was—the embodiment of Lord Lord Ba Wang's power.

Elemental HERO Flare Neos, Level 7, Fire Attribute, Warrior-type, ATK 2500.

"The more spell/trap cards on the field, the higher Flare Neos's ATK, increasing by 400 points for each!"

Flare Neos, ATK: 2500→3300.

"Good, it surpassed the Long Shen!"

"But, Flare Neos will return to the deck at the end of the turn, right?"

The situation hadn't improved, Kenzan and the others were still worried.

"Activate equip spell card Instant Neo Space!" Judai showed an equip spell card, "Only monsters that use Neos as fusion material can be equipped. The fusion monster equipped with this card does not need to activate the effect of returning to the deck during the end phase."

"With this, Flare Neos's ATK increases to 3700 points, and it won't return to the deck!"

Judai didn't stop his actions, then summoned a monster in defense position: "Summon, Card Trooper."

A small machine exploration vehicle with its tracks spinning frantically came in front of Judai.

Card Trooper, Level 3, Earth Attribute, Machine-type, DEF 400.

"Once per turn, send up to three cards from the top of the deck to the graveyard to activate. This card's ATK increases by 500 points for each card sent to the graveyard until the end of the turn. I send three cards to the graveyard."

Judai rapidly sent the top three cards of his deck to the graveyard, glanced at them, and then operated.

"Activate continuous spell card, Mirage of Nightmare, set one card."

With this, Flare Neos's ATK increased to 4500 points!

"Wow, it suddenly has such high ATK!"

"We can do it! We can do it! Everyone!"

"Battle, Flare Neos attacks Grapha!" Judai issued the command, calling his Neos to advance.

Flare Neos shouted "Toh!" and arrived in front of the Long Shen Grapha's clone, extended its sharp claws, and slapped it.

Boom!

The Long Shen was instantly blown into pieces.

Grapha LP, 4000→2500.

"End turn..."

"Used up all your hand cards just to destroy one of my clones?" The Long Shen laughed wildly, "Lord Lord Ba Wang is nothing more than this!"

"Or are you suppressing your true nature, suppressing your power?"

"What are you talking about, I don't understand." Judai said firmly and decisively again, "I am Judai Yuki. Not the person you know!"

"Hahahahahaha—how weak! Bulong, look at this little guy's appearance of escaping reality, how cute! Is this the King of Fusion who once made all spirits tremble with fear? Too laughable!

Since that's the case, then, I won't be polite!"

"It's my turn—"

The duel disk, which was like a windmill, began to spin, making a terrifying tearing sound again.
