Chapter 37: What a Coincidence?

~3 min read 481 words

A group of over twenty Yun University students paused at the classroom door, peering curiously inside.

What puzzled them was that the entire classroom held only one young man their own age.

This was quite different from what they had expected.

Counselor Yun Shuqian had posted over twenty job openings in the WeChat group, with each position requiring at least five people.

Logically, this should have been a sizable recruitment event.

Why was there only one person inside?

Had they come to the wrong place?

After a moment of confusion, they looked up at the classroom number and checked the time, confirming they had the right location and time.

“Excuse me, are you Senior Qin Xiaoyu?”

As everyone hesitated, a girl with black-rimmed glasses and short hair gently tapped the door, then looked toward Qin Xiaoyu by the window and asked tentatively.

“It’s me!”

Qin Xiaoyu stood up, swiftly scanning the group of students before inviting them: “Younger brothers and sisters, come in and sit down—we’ll talk properly.”

Though still puzzled, no one turned to leave; they followed the girl who had spoken and entered the classroom.

After handing their personal resumes to Qin Xiaoyu, they settled into seats in small groups.

As he received the resumes, Qin Xiaoyu flipped through them casually—and inside, he was thrilled.

Judging from these resumes, Yun Shuqian’s earlier claims might not have been exaggerated at all.

Of the twenty-odd resumes in his hands, more than half the students had listed Genshin Impact as their favorite game.

Some had even explicitly written in their ideal future: “Join the Genshin Impact development team.”

This isn’t a coincidence?

Qin Xiaoyu felt he might not need to say much—he could easily solve the problem that had plagued him.

As he thought this while flipping through the resumes, a more impatient male student, seeing Qin Xiaoyu Chichi not speaking, stood up cautiously and asked:

“Senior Qin, could you tell us which game company you currently work for?”

In fact, many wanted to ask this, but hadn’t yet found the chance.

Counselor Yun Shuqian hadn’t given many details in the WeChat group.

They’d come mostly because they had a good personal relationship with Yun Shuqian, and just wanted to show support.

Hearing the question, Qin Xiaoyu set down the resumes and smiled: “Work for? To be precise, I’m here recruiting on my own behalf.”

On my own behalf?

At this, several students froze for a few seconds.

But they quickly recovered, their faces betraying clear disappointment.

This Senior Qin Xiaoyu looked no more than two or three years older than them—meaning he’d just graduated.

In recent years, very few Yun University graduates had started their own companies, and even fewer had gained any recognition in the industry.

In fact, none at all.

They’d come partly to support Yun Shuqian, and partly hoping to intern at a well-known company to gain experience.
