Chapter 1740: The Furious Shenlongshang Alliance!

"Tell your Yun Ancestor!" Su Yang said after a moment's thought. "Let him prepare. Also, tomorrow we'll claim we've received an order from Babaozhai and are preparing to leave Ziyun City. What do you think?"

Yun Shuying nodded: "Fine!"

"Go!"

"By the way!" As Yun Shuying was about to leave, she suddenly said, "Elder Long said that if you encounter a troublesome enemy, you can request aid from Babaozhai..."

"Is that old Night Demon clan member a troublesome enemy?"

Su Yang asked in return.

"Uh..."

It did seem to make sense.

"Don't worry! If I really meet a troublesome enemy, I'll request aid."

Su Yang understood Yun Shuying's concerns.

This woman, Yun Shuying, lacked the courage to burn the bridges behind her.

She seemed a little timid.

But Su Yang didn't particularly dislike her.

Fear of death and desire for life are human nature.

If doing something required Su Yang to risk his life, he might hesitate too.

"Good!"

The day after receiving the order, Su Yang took Yun Shuying and Xia Na to visit the Wu Yun royal court and bid farewell to the Emperor of Wu Yun.

Wu Yun was not fully bound to Babaozhai, but it held considerable influence within Babaozhai, and since their relations had been amicable, it was only proper to say goodbye before leaving.

Su Yang also used this opportunity to spread the news of his departure.

After the battle in Ziyun City, the Wu Yun royal court now regarded Su Yang with even greater importance.

They treated him entirely as a God-Rank Mid-Grade expert.

The Emperor of Wu Yun even drank with him and exchanged pleasantries.

After leaving Ziyun City, Su Yang, Yun Shuying, and Xia Na went into hiding at a small town near Ziyun City.

The town was more than ten kilometers from Ziyun City.

But that distance could be covered by the three of them in an instant.

Meanwhile, the Shenlongshang Alliance had learned of Elder Hei Yi's death.

They received the news one day later than Babaozhai.

The reason was that Elder Hei Yi had been defeated too quickly during the battle.

At the time, Ziyun City's intelligence agents, intimidated by Su Yang and his companions, dared not leave the city to deliver reports immediately; only that night did someone dare to slip out secretly.

Upon hearing of Elder Hei Yi's death, the Shenlongshang Alliance's high command flew into a rage.

Many God-Rank Beast Tamer elders petitioned to fight, vowing to kill Su Yang.

Su Yang's dossier had long been on the Shenlongshang Alliance's high command's desk.

When he first sought to join Babaozhai, the commotion he caused outside Babao City had drawn not only Babaozhai's attention but also that of the Shenlongshang Alliance's intelligence agents.

Yet back then, the Shenlongshang Alliance had not taken him seriously.

Even after Su Yang accompanied Elder Long in attacking the Shenlongshangfen Alliance in Lanmo Country, they still did not take him seriously.

Because the real focus of that battle had been Elder Long, who had blocked the Lanmo royal family's elite.

Su Yang's killing of one God-Rank Low-Grade Beast Tamer was insufficient to draw the Shenlongshang Alliance's serious attention—only enough to earn their hatred.

But this time was different!

Su Yang, with the strength of a God-Rank Low-Grade Beast Tamer, had directly killed one of their God-Rank Mid-Grade important elders!

Such combat power was truly astonishing.

It was known to nearly every Shenlongshang Alliance elder that Elder Hei Yi possessed a space-type divine beast.

Elder Hei Yi did not possess just one God-Rank Mid-Grade pet beast!

"My Lord, Elder Hei Yi's vengeance cannot go unavenged!" A God-Rank Mid-Grade Night Demon clan elder stepped forward. "I wish to lead a force personally and level Babaozhai in Ziyun City!"

Facing the Night Demon clan elder's request, the Shenlongshang Alliance hesitated and said: "This Chen Feng is no ordinary man. If Elder Hei Yi died at his hands, you going alone may not be enough to take him down!"

"My Lord, I say we simply attack Babao City directly!" A Blood Demon clan God-Rank Beast Tamer stepped forward. "Once we destroy Babao City and slaughter all those human Beast Tamers in Babaozhai, what can stop us? Then we can march south and wipe out all the human nations!"

The Shenlongshang Alliance leader shook his head: "Impossible. The Night Demon Empire does not yet wish to conflict with the Da Jin Empire. There is no fundamental conflict of interest between the Night Demon Empire and Da Jin. Neither side wishes to relive the great chaos ten thousand years ago!"
