Chapter 184: Underground Parking Lot! The Chrysalis of the Illusionary Butterflies!

"Where the hell are those illusionary butterflies?" Hu Kun asked the question everyone wanted answered: "If we weren't affected by the illusion, why can't we see them?"

There were indeed scattered illusionary butterflies around, but not many.

They had silver scales; each one was a Gold-rank Beast Tamer, and logically, none of them should have been affected by illusions.

"Behind that building, three Gold-rank Rainbow Illusionary Butterflies, and countless ordinary Illusionary Butterflies!"

Su Yang pointed to a seventeen-story high-rise nearby.

"That's downright sneaky!"

"Tear down that building!"

More than twenty acted in unison, dozens of Gold-rank Beast Companions launched forward.

Boom—the entire building collapsed outright!

Countless white butterflies flew out from behind the building, among them three dazzling Rainbow Illusionary Butterflies.

"Kill!"

Everyone unleashed their own techniques—countless wind blades, flames, and ice blades surged toward the swarm of Illusionary Butterflies.

The white Illusionary Butterflies fell like rain.

Though powerful, the Illusionary Butterflies faced enemies even stronger.

With their silver scales, their illusions and mental attacks had zero effect on these Gold-rank Beast Tamers!

Soon, the three Rainbow Illusionary Butterflies sensed the tide turning and immediately flapped their wings, fleeing far away.

Someone shouted: "Don't let those Rainbow Illusionary Butterflies escape!"

The number of uses for the silver scales is limited.

If those three Gold-rank Rainbow Illusionary Butterflies got away and continued using illusions in secret, these twenty-plus Gold-rank Beast Tamers wouldn't last long.

In the sky, over a dozen Beast Companions immediately surged toward the three Rainbow Illusionary Butterflies.

But something astonishing happened to every Gold-rank Beast Tamer present.

The attacks from the dozen Beast Companions all missed—wildly, absurdly off-target!

A Gold-rank Golden Knife Eagle actually used its sharp talons to claw at the wall…

Su Yang shouted: "Your flying Beast Companions are under illusion! Use military operation terminology… report coordinates!"

In this world, the vast majority of Beast Tamers had undergone military training.

Even mercenaries and adventurers were familiar with this operational terminology.

Some high-intelligence Gold-rank Beast Companions could learn this military terminology.

One of the fastest-reacting Gold-rank Beast Tamers ordered: "Golden Knife Eagle, ascend ten meters—the enemy is directly to your right, three o'clock position—attack!"

The Golden Knife Eagle immediately obeyed.

One Rainbow Illusionary Butterfly had its wings torn apart by the Golden Knife Eagle.

The other Beast Tamers followed suit, using military operation terminology to command their Beast Companions.

Some Beast Tamers' flying Beast Companions might not know the full terminology, but it didn't matter—as long as they understood front, back, left, and right!

Thanks to Su Yang's warning, all three Gold-rank Rainbow Illusionary Butterflies were killed.

Three flying Beast Companions were struck by the Rainbow Illusionary Butterflies' mental attacks, but they only fainted—minimal impact on overall combat power.

"Mental-type ferocious beasts are truly disgusting!"

"Looks like when I reach Platinum rank, I've got to get myself a mental-type Beast Companion!"

Someone looked at Su Yang: "Kid, you're impressive—if not for you, we'd have turned back long before now!"

Su Yang replied modestly: "It's nothing—I'm just doing what I should."

"We still don't know your name, young brother!"

"Qi Xing City, Su Yang!"
