Chapter 743: The Twinborn Child! I

"Little one, don't worry, I'll save you!"

Su Yang believed the Twinborn Child should already have developed consciousness.

Otherwise, it couldn't have used its skill.

He just didn't know whether, without a bond, it could hear him through the eggshell.

"Ding~ Task released: Supply sufficient life energy to the Twinborn Child!"

"Ding~ Task reward: Three talent points, upgrade a designated pet's talent level!"

Three talent points!

Su Yang knew this task probably wouldn't be easy to complete.

If it were simple, the system wouldn't be this generous!

The system used to be extremely generous, but lately it's become stingy!

The system… was cuter when I was a child!

Five kilometers from Mount Dajiao, Su Yang caught a Black-Iron Mid-Grade Gray-Tooth Rabbit.

He snapped its four limbs, cut a wound on its front paw, and pressed it against the pale green egg.

After waiting a long time, the Gray-Tooth Rabbit still struggled.

The Twinborn Child showed no reaction at all, nothing like yesterday when it had drained the rabbit dry.

"Is it disdainful of the Gray-Tooth Rabbit… or is there another reason?"

Su Yang summoned the Rainbow Illusionary Butterfly.

"Rainbow Illusionary Butterfly, make this Gray-Tooth Rabbit completely relax—no resistance, not mentally or physically!"

The Rainbow Illusionary Butterfly nodded.

Soon, the Gray-Tooth Rabbit grew still.

A surge of life energy flowed—the Gray-Tooth Rabbit aged and died within five seconds.

"So it really is like this!"

Su Yang understood!

Although the Twinborn Child could drain the life energy of a Gold-Rank Beast Tamer through its thick eggshell,

inside, it was still terribly weak.

It could only barely target defenseless injured beings…

But Su Yang thought this was normal.

In this world, no matter how excellent a beast's growth potential,

at birth, all are Black-Iron Low-Grade beasts.

The Twinborn Child is still inside its eggshell, unhatched, and underdeveloped,

yet it has already developed consciousness and learned a skill, even striking others through the shell—this is already superlative!

Su Yang picked up the Twinborn Child's egg and looked at the beautiful Rainbow Illusionary Butterfly.

He smiled warmly at the Rainbow Illusionary Butterfly: "I have a very important task for you—will you accept it?"

The Rainbow Illusionary Butterfly stared at Su Yang with its large black eyes, then shook its head and fluttered backward.

Seeing this behavior, Su Yang knew it had probably guessed!

"Sigh!" Su Yang heavily sighed, "Ever since evolving into a Soul-Type, you've become less adorable!"

The Rainbow Illusionary Butterfly stopped, hesitated, then obediently flew to Su Yang's side.

"Here, this child will be under your care from now on!" Su Yang proudly placed the Twinborn Child's egg into the Rainbow Illusionary Butterfly's grasp, "It's congenitally underdeveloped and needs life energy—it must absorb the life force of prey that can't resist. Before absorbing, make a wound and press it against the egg."

The Rainbow Illusionary Butterfly was the most suitable to care for the Twinborn Child.

Its nature was inherently gentle—at least gentler than Su Yang's other pets!

It could easily prevent the prey's consciousness from resisting.

Of course, simply knocking the prey unconscious should also work.

But under current conditions, the Rainbow Illusionary Butterfly's efficiency in capturing prey was far higher than Su Yang's!

The Rainbow Illusionary Butterfly cradled the Twinborn Child's egg with its six slender legs and nodded seriously.

Immediately, the Rainbow Illusionary Butterfly sent a bond message, revealing a startling piece of news to Su Yang.

"What? What did you say? There are two weak souls inside this egg?"

The Rainbow Illusionary Butterfly nodded.

"If I bond with them, do I need one pet contract or two?"

This question concerned Su Yang's own interests.

A Beast Tamer's pet slots are limited.

Su Yang is currently a Starlight-Rank Beast Tamer, and all his pet slots are occupied.

He planned to bond with the Twinborn Child only after reaching King-Rank.

If two pets hatch, he'll have to choose one!

"One— their souls are fused together; one contract is enough."

Soul-based information transmission had no gender—it felt more like a spiritual vibration.

"Good!" Su Yang relaxed. He thought over the Twinborn Child's system data and finally understood the origin of its name: "One pet slot for a pet with two souls… seems like I got a good deal?"

"By the way, can you communicate with them?"

Su Yang suddenly asked.

The Rainbow Illusionary Butterfly was now a Soul-Type pet.
