Chapter 820: Cooperation reached

It was already obvious that the two of them knew each other.

Shen Ci raised the script in her hand and looked at Xu Junhuan, asking: "Director Yang said he approached you. What? You don't want to take it?"

Xu Junhuan was pulled by Director Yang and sat down accordingly. He glanced at the script in Shen Ci's hand, still not understanding the situation, and subconsciously replied: "No, I just said I'd consider it."

He looked at Director Yang in confusion, then at Shen Ci, and couldn't help but ask again: "Shen Ci, why are you here? You and Director Yang, you..."

"We are discussing a cooperation."

Shen Ci didn't beat around the bush and looked directly at Xu Junhuan, asking: "If I invest in this project, will you act in it?"

Upon hearing this, Director Yang straightened his body with a start.

Miss Shen is agreeing to invest?

Xu Junhuan was stunned: "You, you're investing?"

Shen Ci looked into his eyes and nodded.

"Then..." Xu Junhuan's lips moved. He warned himself in his heart not to be impulsive, but he said: "Then I'll act, I'll act."

Shen Ci smiled: "Not considering it anymore?"

"I've considered it."

Shen Ci turned to look at Yang Guochun: "Director Yang, you have your male lead."

Yang Guochun was overjoyed, feeling as if he were dreaming: "This... it's settled just like that? Miss Shen, you've decided to invest?"

"I have one condition." Shen Ci's smile faded, and her tone shifted.

Yang Guochun blurted out: "Miss Shen, please speak."

Shen Ci thought for a moment and said: "I know a film needs multi-party investment, but I'm not very interested in splitting the cake. Director Yang must promise me that the total number of investors for this film cannot exceed five. That way, it saves time for the audience at the beginning and end of the film, doesn't it?"

Most importantly, she wanted to make a bit more money.

In this day and age, just as Yang Guochun said himself, it's the winter period for films, and projects that can make money are becoming fewer and fewer.

And this project at hand was about to break box office records during the Spring Festival season. With such a rare opportunity, of course, she wanted to make as much as she could.

Yang Guochun looked troubled and explained to Shen Ci: "Miss Shen, there are many investors because everyone can share the funding. If we only look for five investors, the amount each party would need to invest would be extremely large."

"That doesn't matter," Shen Ci shrugged, indicating she didn't care. "Then you only need to contact a few necessary investors, such as the distribution company or film companies with deep binding cooperation with you, and let them participate with small shares. I'll take the rest."

Yang Guochun was shocked: "The rest... Miss Shen, you'll cover it alone?"

"Yes. I invest more, so I get more returns, right? Director Yang shouldn't let me down, should you?"

The pressure on Yang Guochun arrived instantly, but at the same time, his heart was filled with the feeling of being trusted.

"Miss Shen, you trust me so much on our first cooperation; how could I bear to let you down?"

"No, wait... hold on..."

Su Zheyuan, who was on the side, hurriedly raised his hand: "Me, count me in too."

He looked at Yang Guochun with a full smile and pointed at himself: "Director, I'll invest too."

Yang Guochun looked at Su Zheyuan, then looked at Shen Ci.

Shen Ci asked: "Aren't you going back to look at the script?"

"How would I understand that stuff?" Su Zheyuan waved his hand: "Anyway, if you invest, I invest. I'll take a small share and just drink some soup following you."

Shen Ci shook her head with a helpless laugh: "Director Yang, look, I'm a 'buy one get one free' deal."

"That just means Miss Shen has great charm and a good eye, which is why friends would unconditionally trust and follow you." Yang Guochun rubbed his hands in excitement: "Then, then we've reached a preliminary agreement?"

Shen Ci nodded and looked at Xu Junhuan to confirm one more time: "You're sure you're coming to act, right?"

"I'll act!"

Xu Junhuan was quite straightforward. ===== CHAPTER 821 =====
