Chapter 109: Blood Horror Reappears

~6 min read 1,088 words

He ran his fingers over a spiritual-energy sniper rifle, his tone impatient: “Xueqi, when can this shipment be moved out? The exotic beasts beyond the pass have already pressed three times.”

Below the stage, a tall black-clad man bowed deeply in response—it was Xueqi, controlled by Jiang Xia’s Byakugan.

His voice was utterly reverent: “Report, Guardian, we’ll depart tonight. The Heishui Gang has arranged the transport route, avoiding the Town-Suppressing Army’s patrols.”

Xuesha sneered, his gaze sweeping over the disciples below: “Keep your eyes sharp. Don’t mess up. Last time in Linjiang we lost so many men—if this goes wrong again, Itachi’ll all be sacrificed!”

“Yes!” The disciples around him shouted in unison, their voices thick with clear fear.

As Xueqi raised his eyes, his gaze accidentally brushed toward the ventilation shaft, meeting Jiang Xia’s Sharingan for a fleeting moment, then he lowered his head without reaction.

Jiang Xia quietly reported, “Found it! The leader here is the former Guardian of the Demon God Sect’s Linjiang branch—Xuesha, mid-Venerable Realm!”

“This batch of arms must be the same ones from the border that Black Crow had.”

Wang Teng suddenly understood: “I thought it felt familiar—I knew it was an old acquaintance. The one beside him… wasn’t he one of the men who kidnapped my brother?”

Jiang Xia nodded, a cold smile curling his lips: “Yes. But I’ve already controlled him. Once we go in, kill Xuesha, and the rest will be easy.”

Inside the warehouse, Xueqi’s body tensed almost imperceptibly, then returned to normal.

Without expression, he picked up the nearby data tablet, saved the data on it, then spoke to Xuesha.

“Guardian, the next batch of Wild Beasts series spiritual-energy rifles has been fully tested—stability is excellent. All data and inventory lists are here.”

Xuesha nodded in satisfaction, took the tablet, glanced at it casually, and his tone softened: “Good. The Demon God Sect won’t let Itachi down. Get this first shipment ready quickly—the Envoy is pressing hard.”

“Yes.” Xueqi bowed respectfully, but deep in his eyes flickered a cold, resolute determination.

At that moment, Jiang Xia’s voice crackled over the squad channel: “Action!”

“Crash!”

Several large lights on the warehouse ceiling shattered simultaneously, shards raining down as the entire warehouse plunged into darkness and chaos.

“Intruder alert!” The alarm blared abruptly.

Ye Lingxi’s fingertips unleashed a surge of ice particles, forming three silent ice spears that struck the surveillance camera lenses with pinpoint accuracy.

Wang Teng leapt down from the ventilation shaft, his Soul-Eating Scythe sweeping out—two gray-black blade auras instantly severed the throats of two guards.

Jiang Xia appeared like a phantom beside the stage, his Sharingan locking onto the flow of blood mist around Xuesha.

“Who?!”

Xuesha whirled around, blood mist exploding outward into dozens of razor-sharp blood blades aimed at Wang Teng.

His reaction was lightning-fast—his Venerable Realm aura erupted instantly, causing all the spiritual-energy weapons in the warehouse to tremble faintly.

“It’s your grandpa!”

Wang Teng grinned, spinning his Soul-Eating Scythe into a black barrier that blocked every blood blade.

“Last time in Linjiang, Director Su didn’t finish Itachi—didn’t expect Itachi’d come to Shanhai Pass to become an arms dealer?”

Xuesha recognized him, pupils contracting sharply: “It’s Itachi! From the Night Watchers?”

His gaze swept over Jiang Xia and Ye Lingxi; when he saw Jiang Xia’s Sharingan, his face darkened instantly: “Itachi’re Jiang Xia—the one who destroyed the Linjiang branch?”

“Correct. No prize.”

Jiang Xia stepped forward, his body instantly appearing at the edge of the stage—his Susano’o’s skeletal arm slammed down toward Xuesha: “Today, Itachi die here.”

"Arrogant!" Xuesha roared, condensing blood mist into a massive blood shield to block Susano'o's strike, then waved his hand and shouted, "All of Itachi—attack! Kill them!"

The warehouse guards erupted into chaos, snatching up nearby spiritual-energy weapons and training their barrels on the three intruders.

But at that moment, Xueqi flashed forward, appearing behind two guards, pressing his palms onto the backs of their skulls—two pure bursts of late-Wanghou Realm spiritual power exploded, and the two guards collapsed without a cry.

“Xueqi—Itachi’ve been betraying me all along!” Xuesha’s eyes bulged with rage. He’d sensed something off about Xueqi, but after the Demon God’s trials, he’d let his guard down: “How dare Itachi betray me?!”

Xueqi turned, his eyes clear now, yet filled with cold resolve, stepping steadily toward Xuesha.

“Betrayal? Guardian, I killed Xuelian myself—this isn’t betrayal.”

His voice was quiet, yet echoed clearly through the entire warehouse, each word carrying a chilling frost.

Xuesha finally realized something was wrong, his eyes narrowing with malice as he fixed them on Jiang Xia: “Itachi did this? What did Itachi do to him?”

“Nothing. I just reminded him of what he needed to do.”

Jiang Xia sneered, summoning a blade of black flame from his Susano’o: “Now—do Itachi still think Itachi have any chance?”

“Whelp! How dare Itachi scheme against me?!”

Xuesha was both shocked and furious—he never imagined his most trusted subordinate was a traitor, nor that the attackers were this formidable.

His mid-Venerable Realm power erupted fully—blood-colored spiritual energy surged like a tangible tide, forming a nauseating blood domain.

“Endless Blood Sea!”

A towering phantom wave of blood materialized, radiating corrosive spiritual energy and the power to devour life, surging toward Jiang Xia.

“Susano’o!”

Jiang Xia didn’t hesitate—his half-skeletal Susano’o materialized instantly, its bony arm clenching into a fist and smashing into the blood wave!

“Boom!”

The blood wave collided with the Susano’o’s fist, emitting a sizzling, corrosive sound—cracks appeared along the skeletal arm. The realm gap remained stark.

“Hmph! A mere Wanghou, daring to shake a tree?” Xuesha sneered, forming hand seals: “Blood Clone—emerge!”

Several blood clones, forged from pure blood, burst from the wave, attacking Jiang Xia from all directions—each radiating Wanghou Realm energy.

“Child’s play.” Jiang Xia’s left Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan spun: “Amaterasu!”

Black flames of Amaterasu ignited on the blood clones, burning relentlessly no matter how they thrashed—soon reduced to nothingness.

“What kind of black fire?!” Xuesha’s face changed.

“Not done yet! Raging Tensei!”

Jiang Xia seized the opening, unleashing a burst of repulsive force that violently pushed back the surrounding blood waves, exposing Xuesha’s true body.

“Now! Lightning Release—Chidori!”

Jiang Xia’s right hand exploded with lightning—Chidori shrieked as his entire body became a streak of blue lightning, stabbing straight for Xuesha’s chest!

Xuesha’s pupils contracted—he sensed mortal danger, roaring as he slammed a blood shield before him.

“Squelch!”

The Chidori pierced the shield with great difficulty, but its power was halved—leaving only a charred wound on Xuesha’s chest, not fatal.
