Chapter 90: A New Year's Letter to Readers
Respected readers:
I hope this letter finds you well.
With everyone's companionship, another year has passed.
This year has been full of content, with great changes, heavy and serious, with some helplessness and some expectations for the future.
I would like to report the situation to everyone and chat a little.
I have been careful during this time, but on the front lines of Clinical Internal Medicine, it was still unavoidable to develop a fever.
My symptoms were okay; I burned up to 38.1℃ and recovered in a day and a half, without other symptoms like swallowing razor blades, cement-blocked nose, or violent coughing.
But afterwards, the entire hospital's Respiratory Department saw the number of inpatients reach a new high since the hospital was founded, and it was incredibly busy. I stayed up almost all night during my second night shift, and after getting off the shift, I felt uncomfortable all over, and the next day I started running a fever again.
Although it only reached about 37.5℃, the experience was quite unpleasant.
It was just speechless.
Judging from personal experience, one must rest for a period of time after testing positive, at least a month; do not stay up late or do strenuous exercise.
It is said that Mei Laoban did not run for a month and a half after testing positive, which feels reasonable.
Every time I get a fever, I start shivering 2-3 hours after sleeping, and then I am listless the next day.
Everyone must be careful; do not rashly engage in strenuous exercise, stay up late, and so on.
From my experience, these are highly likely to be very bad practices for recovery.
Having said that, looking at the dwindling stockpile of drafts recently makes me feel a bit uneasy, but I dare not write as usual; maintaining 6,000 words a day is already quite the limit, but I am still glad that I haven't missed any updates.
I hope I won't stop; what I am more anxious about now is whether there will be another fever.
Because I only update 6,000 words a day, the plot is slightly slow, and I am also adjusting. For example, the earliest multi-perspective commentary on variety shows was later gradually changed to a dual-perspective.
Emmm, that's all for now.
In the new year, I wish all my readers health and prosperity.
Sincerely,
Best regards,
Zhenxiong Chumo
