Chapter 6: That Special One

Besides that, activities in the Dream World do not affect our sleep quality; spending eight hours in the Dream World leaves us still energetic today. Zhou Zixiu smiled and said, "So everyone can enter the Dream World with peace of mind, without worrying about insufficient rest."

Upon hearing this, laughter rippled through the classroom.

"Regarding the entrance to the Dream World, we will mainly introduce these contents." Zhou Zixiu paused, then continued, "Next, we will introduce the Dream World itself."

"First, after entering the Dream World, we will see a panel. Those with gaming experience will find it familiar, but many have never played games, so we will still give a brief introduction."

As his words fell, a hand-drawn Dream World panel appeared in the PPT.

Immediately afterward, Zhou Zixiu began to briefly explain the meaning of each item.

Qin Chuan's pupils contracted sharply at that moment.

None.

On the last line of the panel, there is only an entry indicating the current time and the entrance closing time, shown as 【xx: xx: xx/08:00:00】, with no 【00:00:00】 after it.

From Zhou Zixiu's explanation, it seems everyone's panel is like this.

"Levels 0 to 10 are the Juvenile Tier, 10 to 20 are the Growth Tier, 20 to 30 are the Elite Tier, 30 to 40 are the Hall Tier, and there is likely a stage higher than the Hall Tier… Which student, what do you want to ask?" Zhou Zixiu pointed to the raised hand of Qin Chuan.

Moreover… he did not fully expose his abnormality, merely mentioning a second.

"That's a good question." Zhou Zixiu chuckled, "There is no conflict."

What is this, a novel's cheat?

Stay calm, cannot let others notice any clues.

It should not be exposed.

"As of now, the highest-level spirit beast we have encountered is a 37th-level Hall Tier spirit beast." Zhou Zixiu announced loudly, "According to current observations and summaries, a spirit beast's strength increases by one tier every ten levels."

This made Qin Chuan's heart surge violently.

Xiao Pang has always been carefree and did not take this to heart.

Compared to Xiao Pang's earlier speculation, Zhou Zixiu's explanation is far more detailed.

After all, officials stand behind him.

Just now everyone was discussing, but his voice was not loud; besides Xiao Pang, no one else should have heard his words.

Thinking this, Qin Chuan's heart steadied.

He originally thought he might be one of a special batch of people.

On the podium, after Zhou Zixiu finished briefly explaining the meaning of each panel item, he began to lecture on the core content of the Dream World: spirit beast contracts.

"I want to ask, level 10 can be either Juvenile Tier or Growth Tier—doesn't that create a conflict?" Qin Chuan raised his question.

Qin Chuan glanced at Xiao Pang beside him.

Looking at it now, he is very likely to be a special individual.

"Because when a spirit beast reaches a level, it needs to advance to reach the next tier."

"This involves the contract issue." Zhou Zixiu paused, then said, "Currently, we can only contract a Juvenile Tier spirit beast, which is probably related to our own level being the probationary level."

"As for how to raise the player level, it is still unclear."

"Juvenile Tier spirit beasts found in the wild range from level 0 to 10, and a few fortunate members of the Special Affairs Group have managed to contract a level‑10 Juvenile Tier spirit beast; through feedback from the spirit beast panel, they have uncovered part of the secret of spirit beast advancement."

"After a Juvenile Tier spirit beast reaches level 10, it needs to gather specific resources to complete its advancement into a level‑10 Growth Tier spirit beast; different species require different resources."

"Thank you, I understand." Qin Chuan nodded and sat back down.

Leveling up and advancing—is that how spirit beasts become stronger…

At that moment, a water‑blue figure appeared in Qin Chuan's mind.

The Water Leaf Dog is a Juvenile Tier level 4; if I could contract it, that would also be a decent start…

Thinking this, Qin Chuan couldn't help but shake his head helplessly.

After I woke from my coma, the Water Leaf Dog left, and it probably did not want to contract with me.

"After contracting, we can see more detailed information about the contracted spirit beast, including its traits, racial values, and innate abilities." On the podium, Zhou Zixiu's explanation continued.

"Traits are the spirit beast's special abilities; racial value can be understood as quantifying the spirit beast's strength; innate skills are the means the spirit beast can employ."

He added a few more points, and the PPT also played to its last page.

"That's all for today's lecture." Zhou Zixiu smiled and said, "There are still two matters to come."

"First, the Special Affairs Group has prepared a gift for everyone."

He clapped his hands, and soon two sturdy men entered the classroom carrying stacks of books, swiftly distributing them to each student.

Qin Chuan said "thanks," took a book, and glanced at it.

《Wild Survival Guide》

How come it's this?

Qin Chuan's face showed a puzzled expression, and the other students began to whisper among themselves.

"According to our current exploration, the Dream World has all kinds of spirit beasts but no human natives, so there is an issue that cannot be ignored: wilderness survival." Seeing everyone's doubt, Zhou Zixiu began to explain.

"The Dream World is vast, possibly even larger than Blue Star; last night, at least half of the eight billion people entered the Dream World, yet the chance of meeting another person there is less than one in a thousand, which proves this point."

"In the early stages of entering the Dream World, the greatest danger you face is the wilderness."

"Mastering some of the tips in this book can help you better survive the early hardships and explore the Dream World more effectively."

"As for the second matter, it is the Dream Forum." Zhou Zixiu paused, then said, "Open your phones, go into the major app stores, and the top‑listed app is the Dream Forum."

"It is an officially established forum for discussing the Dream World, containing various related information for sharing; everyone can also communicate with each other, and our Special Affairs Group's subsequent research findings will also be shared on the forum first."

"The forum's initial account password is your name and ID number."

"If anyone discovers something of value in the Dream World, they can call the Special Affairs Group hotline or submit it in the official section of the Dream Forum; they will receive generous rewards as repayment, and those with outstanding contributions may be recruited into the Special Affairs Group."

"Alright, I need to go to the next class to give the talk." Zhou Zixiu pulled out his USB drive, smiled at everyone, and said, "I sincerely wish you all smooth sailing in the Dream World."

Watching Zhou Zixiu stride out of the classroom, the students, after a brief silence, all took out their phones and entered the app store.
