Chapter 20: with translation of chapter title
Why do I have this feeling? Could there be danger here? Or perhaps a very powerful wizard has been watching this place continuously?
Dali thought to himself.
Having lived so long in a dangerous world, caution has been etched into Dali's marrow; even if this feeling is faint and possibly an illusion, he will not ignore it. That is the main reason he has survived until now and reached the High Sequence.
"This is the safest bank in the Magic World, so its security measures must be extensive, and it is possible that a powerful wizard has been constantly watching this place."
Dali first affirmed the existence of that possibility in his mind.
"The feeling of being spied upon is likely from Gulingge, but where does the evil, frantic aura come from?"
Dali activated Spiritual Sight and carefully examined the surroundings, but found nothing, only some traces left by Magic, presumably Gulingge's protective measures.
"Unfortunately, I'm not familiar with this place at all; an Arbitrator's abilities cannot be fully utilized here."
Dali felt a bit helpless.
The Judicator Sequence can perceive evil frenzy, but it can only be maximized in a familiar environment.
He can detect those faint threads of evil aura in such an unfamiliar setting because he was once a strong High Sequence practitioner; otherwise, even a true Sequence Nine Arbitrator would hardly notice that wisp of evil.
"Let me tell you, it's said a fire dragon guards the underground of this wizard bank; Hagrid told me that before."
Harry, seeing Dali constantly frowning, said smugly.
"Fire dragon?"
Dali exclaimed in surprise.
"Yes, it's said that the highest‑security underground vaults of Gulingge are guarded by fire dragons."
Harry explained.
"Is that so?"
Dali nodded, showing a thoughtful expression.
Dragons are clearly Extraordinary Creatures, and they are hard to classify as good or evil. Dali does not know the exact nature of dragons in the Magic World, but it is possible that the evil aura originates from that dragon.
"Anyway, be careful today; I haven't felt this in a long time."
Dali thought to himself.
Thinking of that, Dali slipped his hand into the inner pocket of his clothing; the metallic feel reassured him slightly.
Knowing he needed to buy supplies for first‑year freshmen today, Dali had brought the Trensost Brass Book with him in advance, just in case.
Caution and prudence are never wrong.
The small mine cart sped along, and Dali no longer had the mind to look at the surrounding stalactites or to memorize the route they had taken down.
After an unknown number of turns, when Dali felt they had gone dozens of kilometers beneath London, the small mine cart finally stopped.
La Huan got off the cart and led a few people to the doorway of an underground vault.
Hagrid, his face ashen, handed the key to La Huan, feeling he was about to vomit.
La Huan unlocked the door.
A thick green smoke billowed out of the door; when it cleared, Harry stared in shock at the vault filled with massive amounts of gold, silver and copper coins.
"All of these are yours."
Hagrid, suppressing the urge to vomit, said to Harry.
Dali looked at the vault brimming with coins and was also somewhat shocked.
He guessed that Harry's parents had left him an inheritance, but did not expect it to be this much; this is beyond middle class—using Roselle Emperor's words, it would be called a nouveau riche.
Dali was about to speak a few words when he suddenly felt a chill down his back.
The feeling of being spied upon became extremely obvious, and even the evil, frantic aura grew much stronger at that moment.
Dali abruptly turned his head and looked behind him.
His gaze fell on a stalactite dozens of meters away, a pitch‑black spot where nothing could be seen, yet the intense unease made Dali unable to ignore it.
Without hesitation, Dali immediately activated Spiritual Sight.
Spiritual energy gathered in his eyes, clarifying everything around him; a faint spiritual light began to appear, and a vague outline gradually emerged.
"There's someone there!"
Dali's gaze hardened.
He was convinced that behind the stalactite there was a person, likely a wizard.
Just as Dali was about to look more closely, the faint halo vanished as if nothing had ever appeared.
"What's going on?"
Dali was extremely surprised.
He didn't think he had misseen; there had definitely been a person there before, but it suddenly disappeared—what method did they use?
Magic?
At the same time, the feeling of being spied upon and the evil aura seemed to fade dramatically, almost to the point of being negligible.
"What's wrong?"
La Huan noticed Dali's abnormality, glanced at the stalactite in the nearby darkness, and asked.
"Nothing."
Dali shook his head.
That aura had vanished; he wasn't even sure whether the silhouette was someone from inside Gulingge, and saying it would be useless—they would never believe a child's words.
"Alright, let's go to Vault 713."
After taking out enough coins, Hagrid led Harry out of the vault.
"Damn, we were supposed to be here this morning; it's my fault for oversleeping. I hope we don't delay Professor Dengbulido's matters."
Hagrid couldn't help but say.
"It's only a few hours later; there shouldn't be any problem," Harry comforted.
Hopefully.
Hagrid said.
Afterwards, several people got back onto the small mine cart, heading deeper into Gulingge.
Dali Lack spoke again along the way, he remained vigilant, paying attention to the slightest movement around him.
Even though this is the safest bank in the wizarding world, it does not mean absolute safety; moreover, such safest places, once something goes wrong, it becomes a major incident.
Rather than believing those sayings of the wizarding world, Dali would rather trust his own judgment.
Not long after, the small mine cart slowly came to a stop.
Dali glanced at the vault not far away, marked with the number 713.
This is the secret task Hagrid arranged for Hogwarts; once completed, they can leave here and return safely to the surface.
Be careful, don't get too close; only goblins can open this door, anyone else trying will be sucked in.
Hagrid said to Harry.
Dali noticed that vault 713 Lack a keyhole.
The pull ring walked up, extended its withered finger, landed on the door, and began to slide down slowly.
Just then, an evil and frenzied aura suddenly Appearance.
