Chapter 24: Signs of Activation

~6 min read 1,076 words

"Night Emperor?"

Several wizards muttered to themselves, their faces full of Doubt and Shock expressions.

"He has disappeared."

A wizard said.

"Lack any traceable aura."

"He lacks a physical form."

Several wizards each used their own abilities to check the surroundings, yet found nothing.

"Have you found the escaped black-clothed person?"

The lead wizard asked.

"The other two teams went to pursue, and we still don't know what's happening."

Upon hearing this, the lead wizard lacked saying anything.

His gaze swept over the surroundings, first seeing Hagrid lying not far away, alive or dead unknown.

"Hagrid?"

Seeing Hagrid, the lead wizard's expression shifted, and he immediately walked over.

"Hagrid, are you alright? Wake up."

The lead wizard shook Hagrid, trying to wake him.

"Mmm… run fast, run fast…"

Hagrid woke up dazedly, his consciousness not fully restored, yet he suddenly shouted loudly, startling everyone.

"Hagrid, it's me, Yuehan. Do you still remember me?"

The lead wizard said loudly.

"You… Yuehan… I remember now." Hagrid finally came to his senses from his dazed state; he was once a student at Hogwarts, and later reportedly went to work at Gulingge.

"Oh my goodness, where is Harry, where is Harry, where is he?"

Hagrid suddenly realized something and struggled to shout loudly.

"What Harry?"

Yuehan asked doubtfully.

"Harry, Harry Potter, the boy who lived, oh damn, how could this happen…"

Hagrid's face was extremely pale.

If anything happens to Harry, he will bear the blame and deserve death.

"What? Harry Potter is also here?"

"Harry, he won't…"

"My goodness!"

……

Several wizards nearby immediately let out an exclamation.

To them, nobody is unaware of the boy who lived; he is extremely famous in the wizarding world.

At this moment, everyone's faces turned grim.

Was that black-clothed person earlier here to kill Harry?

A follower of the dark lord?

the Death Eaters?

"Hagrid… I… I'm fine."

From behind a large stalactite not far away, Harry's weak voice came.

Hearing the sound, several wizards immediately ran over and found the weak Harry behind the stalactite.

"Harry, are you alright?"

The wizards hurriedly checked his body, finding that he lacked any serious injuries, only some superficial wounds, before they breathed a sigh of relief.

"There's another boy here."

Soon, behind a stalactite not far from Harry, they saw another boy with a pale complexion, looking extremely weak.

"It's my cousin Dali."

Harry quickly said.

"I… I'm fine."

Dali strained to open his eyes, said a sentence, then closed his eyes again.

He is too weak.

The previous battle drained his spiritual power; if he hadn't controlled it well, he might have become an idiot.

However, he managed to survive this crisis unscathed.

Dali felt somewhat wronged; he had just come to get some money, how did he end up encountering such a terrible thing.

That wizard's strength is obviously strong; it's not something an ordinary person could handle, why is he so unlucky.

"It's fine, it's fine, come with me; regarding the previous events, I have some things I need to ask you." Yuehan said.

"Captain, we've found a corpse of an elf."

Not far away, a wizard suddenly spoke.

"It was killed by that black-clothed person; I saw a green light, and then he died."

Harry said with a pale face.

Everyone exchanged glances, seeing the solemnity in each other's eyes.

After about a dozen minutes, the group returned to the ground.

In a VIP room of Gulingge.

Harry and Dali each lay on a sofa, Hagrid sat on a chair nearby, and there was temporarily no one else in the room.

"How could such a thing happen? It's truly terrifying."

"It's all my fault, I'm incompetent."

Hagrid was still self-reproaching; he hadn't taken good care of Harry and had almost let Harry die at the hands of that man in black.

"I've already reported this matter to Professor Dengbulido; he's already on his way, and only he can handle such a case properly."

Hagrid said, sniffling and tearful.

Harry said nothing.

He was recalling that underground scene.

Just when he felt he was about to die, that illusory black figure Appearance, it blocked the man in black.

"Who is he?"

The imposing aura made Harry dare not look directly, but he vaguely felt that the black shadow was somewhat familiar.

"Could it be... my father's soul?"

Harry couldn't help thinking.

That familiar feeling should be unmistakable, but he wasn't sure who that person was.

He only felt that he was immensely tall, giving him an unprecedented sense of security.

On the other side.

Dali turned around and buried his ears in the soft cushion.

He just wanted to rest a bit; Hagrid was simply too noisy.

"Fortunately, the spiritual power has finally recovered a bit; it's not as headache-inducing as before, nor are there those maddening ramblings."

Dali let out a gentle sigh.

He forcibly employed the Trensost Brass Book; it was the only method.

For a Sealed Object of this level, Dali really didn't want to use it unless absolutely necessary, but given the previous situation, if he didn't use it, he would most likely be killed, leaving almost no chance to fight back.

"Hope this Sealed Object does not Appearance any error."

Dali lowered his head and glanced at the Trensost Brass Book in his bosom; he could feel that this Sealed Object, after this use, showed slight signs of activation.

"Hope that before it fully activates, my strength can reach the level to seal it."

Dali thought to himself.

After a while, Hagrid finally quieted down, and Dali could finally get a good rest.

About half an hour later, Dali heard a very noisy sound from outside the door and woke up from his deep sleep.

Boom.

When the door opened, the first thing that caught his eye was a kind old man with white beard and hair, wearing crescent-shaped glasses.

After he walked in, he first glanced toward Harry, then glanced toward Dali.

Behind him, dozens of wizards followed in, their faces solemn, evidently the Gulingge incident had left them all in a bind.

"Professor Dengbulido, you finally arrived; it was my negligence, I failed to protect Harry."

Hagrid quickly stood up and said.

"Hagrid, this is not your fault."

Dengbulido said calmly.

"According to custom, we have some questions to ask you."

Dengbulido's gaze swept over Harry and Dali, and he smiled, blinking his eyes.

"Don't be nervous, children, just tell me what you saw."
