Chapter 25: Mysterious Language
Harry nodded.
Dali lay beside him, his complexion still pale.
He didn't speak, nor was there any need to, because everyone's attention was on Harry; that was fine, he could rest properly.
"Oh! Terrible, truly terrible!"
A hurried voice came from outside the door, followed immediately by chaotic footsteps.
The others, upon hearing the voice, seemed to know who had arrived, instantly cleared a passage, and everyone's gaze turned that way.
Soon, a middle‑aged man hurried in, wearing a dark‑green top hat and a finely striped suit, with a large group trailing behind him.
"Minister."
Seeing the newcomer, the crowd immediately greeted him.
He was the current Minister of the Ministry of Magic, Kang Naili Fuji.
"Dengbulido, you're here," Fuji said after entering the room, immediately walking toward Dengbulido, "Has it already begun?"
Dengbulido said evenly, "Not yet; just in time you arrived, so let's do it together."
"Alright."
Fuji finished speaking, instantly waving to the people beside him, "Record everything."
Immediately, everyone's gaze refocused on Harry.
Harry seemed very unaccustomed to such staring.
He rarely became the center of attention, which left him momentarily at a loss for words.
"Don't be nervous, Harry, I'll ask some questions and you just answer."
Dengbulido said in a gentle voice.
His voice seemed to possess a kind of magic, gradually easing Harry's previously nervous state.
"Very good."
Dengbulido gave a slight smile.
"Did you see clearly the appearance of the black‑cloaked attacker who assaulted you?"
Dengbulido asked, not jumping straight to the most crucial question but starting with a simple one, which helped steady Harry's emotions.
"No, when he struck a green light flashed, and the fairy fell to the ground. I... I have seen that green light in my own nightmares."
Harry described it briefly, but toward the end his voice grew much softer.
"Oh my, we shouldn't have asked that."
Someone sighed.
They all knew Harry's ordeal, but hadn't expected such a simple question to make him recall his childhood trauma.
Fuji glanced at Dengbulido, seeming reluctant to continue asking.
However, Dengbulido did not stop; after a brief pause he continued, "And what about the other black phantom? I heard from others that the black phantom appeared and blocked the black‑cloaked attacker for you, right?"
Harry nodded.
"There was a black phantom, but I don't know how it appeared. The black‑cloaked attacker was already flying toward me, and I felt I was about to be killed."
"But at that moment, I heard a voice, then felt... uh... I can't describe that feeling, it's just..."
Harry furrowed his brow, straining to find the right words to accurately convey that sensation.
"A sense of authority?"
Dengbulido voiced it for Harry.
"Yes, exactly, that sense of authority, the feeling that one glance makes you want to submit at his feet."
Harry immediately replied.
Dengbulido and Fuji exchanged a glance, and the others' eyes flickered with an inexplicable gleam.
"Then, did you hear what that person said?"
Fuji asked.
This was the crucial part.
"I don't know; I couldn't understand the language—it wasn't English, it felt like a very mysterious Ancient language, and when the phantom spoke it, there was a commanding sense of authority," Harry said.
"Mysterious Ancient language?"
The crowd showed expressions of Doubt.
Fuji looked at Dengbulido and asked, "Is it an ancient spell?"
Dengbulido shook his head; relying only on this information, he could not make a judgment.
The others were equally puzzled.
"There are many languages in this world; could it be a language from another Nation?" Yuehan said at this point, "For example, those obscure languages, Arabic, or Chinese?"
Harry hesitated, then shook his head quickly, "It doesn't seem like any of them."
Seeing this, the others said nothing further.
Dengbulido thought for a moment, then continued, "After the black phantom finished speaking, was there any special effect?"
Since the exact language and spell content couldn't be determined, they could only judge by the effect.
"Let me think... I didn't feel any change, nor see any light; the black‑cloaked attacker who tried to kill me suddenly fell from the air to the ground."
"Oh?"
The crowd, hearing this, showed expressions of Doubt.
What spell effect was that? They truly hadn't heard of it before.
Fuji looked again at Dengbulido, but Dengbulido gave no response, clearly also unsure which spell could produce such an effect.
It sounded like the black‑cloaked one's Levitation Spell was broken, causing it to fail, but the exact situation was beyond their knowledge.
There's more.
Dengbulido continued to ask.
"Later, I recall he spoke twice. The first time, after his words fell, the man in black let out a wail, and the Magic he was casting was interrupted. The other time was when the man in black tried to escape; after his words fell, the man in black seemed to be restrained, and finally the man in black triggered some spell, broke the restraint, and fled."
Harry recalled while describing the situation.
It was similar to what we saw when we arrived quickly.
Yuehan said.
When the man in black was finally restrained, he also saw it, but it was quickly broken by that man in black, who then escaped.
The black phantom claimed to be the Night Emperor; I checked, and there is a Lack of related records.
Yuehan continued.
Furthermore, we noticed that when the black phantom released the spell, it did not use a wand; Of Course, this may also simply be because it lacks a physical form.
"What kind of wizard would not need a wand when casting Magic of this level?" Fu Ji was full of Doubt.
Casting a spell without a wand is not impossible, but it is usually only for relatively simple Magic, and the Magic the black phantom wielded was certainly not simple at all.
"To achieve such an effect, there is another possibility: the master of the black shadow is nearby, and the illusory shadow is merely a decoy; the one truly casting the spell is someone else." Dengbulido suddenly said in a meaning‑laden tone.
