Chapter 32: Stuck on a Bug
"Who?"
Dali felt surprise.
To appear silently at his doorstep, that person could not be an ordinary human.
"Is it the ability to teleport?"
Dali thought to himself.
This is his home; he knows it extremely well, and as an arbitrator, places where he works long‑term have a Mysticism‑type resonance, so even the slightest rustle of wind or grass he can detect any anomaly.
Especially when it involves Magic, it is even more so.
Ding—
The next moment, the doorbell rang.
"At least they know some manners; they shouldn't be an unwelcome guest." Dali opened the door and stepped out.
Harry downstairs had already gone to open the door.
"Deng... Professor Dengbulido, why are you here?"
Before Dali could go downstairs, Harry's surprised voice rose up.
"I came to see you two little ones."
Professor Dengbulido's voice remained calm, carrying a comforting aura.
Dali went downstairs and happened to meet Professor Dengbulido as he entered the room.
"Good morning, Professor Dengbulido."
Dali said with a smile.
"Ah, Dali, I hope I'm not disturbing you?"
Dengbulido said with a smile.
"Honestly, no, I spent all night last evening reading Magic Spellbooks and forgot to sleep."
Dali replied.
"Believe me, a diligent little wizard like you is rare at Hogwarts; those professors will surely love a student like you."
Dengbulido teased.
"However, a word of reminder: sleep is still essential; you're still growing, and you can read the books during the day."
"Alright."
Dali nodded with a smile.
Vernon and Penny heard the voices, came down from upstairs, and were both startled when they saw Dengbulido.
Especially Penny, whose complexion was somewhat unnatural.
"I'm sorry to disturb you so early, but there are some matters I think should be discussed face‑to‑face with those two little ones; you won't mind, I hope," Professor Dengbulido said.
"Ah, right, I forgot to introduce myself. I am the headmaster of Hogwarts School of Magic, Albus Dengbulido."
"Dad, Mom, we'll chat with Professor Dengbulido for a while; you don't need to worry."
Dali said.
"Alright, then you talk."
Vernon frowned but said nothing more.
Penny opened her mouth to speak but stopped, then turned and left.
"They didn't even shout at me; that's unbelievable."
Dengbulido said, glancing at Dali.
"Perhaps, after discovering their son is a wizard, they changed their view of wizards."
Dali shrugged.
"Indeed."
Professor Dengbulido said as he sat down on the sofa.
"I'm sorry about what happened yesterday."
Dengbulido said bluntly.
"I sent Hagrid to Vault 713 to fetch something, but I didn't consider the danger, and I dragged both of you into it; that was my negligence."
Dali shook his head and said, "You needn't apologize; this was something no one could have foreseen."
It can only be said that the incident was that coincidental; had they gone earlier or later, they wouldn't have met, yet they happened to appear in the vault at the same time.
And one of them happened to be the world‑famous Harry Potter.
"We later tracked that man in black, but found no further clues; he escaped."
"Based on current information, we know little about him and cannot determine his identity, so we can only defend passively. During this period, the Ministry of Magic will send some Aurors—roughly the police in Muggle terms—to protect your safety until you enter Hogwarts for study," Professor Dengbulido said.
Dali frowned, "Isn't that essentially putting the two of us under surveillance?"
Although he knew it was for his own good, he didn't like the feeling.
Moreover, it would force him to be extremely cautious during this time to prevent anyone from discovering his secret.
"Alright, that's all I have to say. Here are your tickets; remember to go to King's Cross Station promptly on September 1st."
Dengbulido didn't linger; he seemed very busy, and after leaving the two tickets, he prepared to depart.
"Oh, right, a word of reminder."
"After you start studying Magic at Hogwarts, a trace thread will be left on you; the Ministry of Magic will use that trace to determine whether you've used Magic outside school, and that is something the Law does not permit."
"Aside from Hogwarts, underage wizards are not allowed to practice Magic elsewhere, especially in front of Muggles."
Dengbulido finished with a smile, waved at Harry and Dali, and left.
With another light 'pop', Dali could no longer sense Dengbulido outside the house.
"Indeed, it's teleportation magic; I don't know how high the level of this magic is, or whether teleportation has a distance limit."
Dali thought to himself.
In that Guiyi Shijie, this teleportation ability is rarely achievable by Low Sequence Extraordinary Ones; truly being able to come and go freely are only Extraordinary Ones on the apprentice path.
But in the Magic World, this ability seems not to be rare.
"It's a pity; I still wanted to try self-studying magic at home, but now it seems impossible." Harry said somewhat helplessly.
He actually lacks a bit of confidence in magic, after all he has never been exposed to it since childhood, whereas children from wizard families are naturally able to come into contact with magic and have many learning opportunities.
He originally wanted to self-study a bit, to see if he could narrow the gap between them, but Dengbulido's words directly blocked that path.
"No, we can self-study."
Dali said calmly.
"What? Professor Dengbulido didn't say that some trace would detect our use of magic? This is prohibited by the Ministry of Magic." Harry said immediately, thinking that Dali would ignore Dengbulido's reminder and forcibly cast magic.
"He meant that after we enter Hogwarts Magic School to study magic, a trace will be left on our bodies."
"And this means that before we enter Hogwarts Magic School to study magic, our bodies will not have a trace, understand?"
Dali said.
Harry seriously recalled Dengbulido's words and found that it was indeed the case.
"In other words, we can now try to self-study magic?" Harry said excitedly.
"It's possible, but just don't blow up our house." Dali reminded.
Actually, they are exploiting a bug.
"Great!" Harry was overjoyed and jumped up directly.
Dali shook his head and glanced in the direction Dengbulido left.
"Did he come specially to remind me and Harry?"
"Or rather..."
