Chapter 33: Admission Book

~6 min read 1,044 words

Dengbulido left the Dursley Family, then disappeared right at the Doorway.

But he did not go straight back to Hogwarts; instead he appeared on a secluded lane of Nettle Road.

Snap.

Dengbulido suddenly appeared, his gaze falling on a spotted cat a short distance away.

"Professor Mai Ge, I knew you would come."

Dengbulido looked at the spotted cat, smiled, and said.

The spotted cat gave Dengbulido a glance, then its body rapidly expanded, soon transforming into a middle‑aged woman clad in a dark‑green cloak.

"Ah, Professor Dengbulido, I didn't expect you to be here either."

Mai Ge said.

"I need to explain to them what happened earlier, and also give them the ticket Hagrid forgot," Dengbulido said.

"In fact, you don't need to worry about Harry's safety; the Ministry of Magic has already sent Aurors nearby, so he won't be in danger."

Mai Ge's expression was solemn, and she did not relax much despite Dengbulido's assurance. She said, "Gulingge's defenses are quite good, but that terrible incident still occurred; at a time like this we absolutely cannot be lax."

Seeing this, Dengbulido smiled and said, "If Harry knew a professor like you cared for him silently, he'd be very happy."

"I only have these few days free, so I came to see the situation."

Mai Ge said as she walked outward with Dengbulido.

"Since they returned home yesterday I've been watching them, and the Dursley Family seems different from ten years ago; their attitude toward Magic, toward Harry, seems much better than before," Professor Mai Ge said, frowning.

"Perhaps it's because their son Dali has also become a wizard," Dengbulido said.

"Ah, speaking of that, Da Li De Si Li's name suddenly appeared in Hogwarts's Admission Book; isn't that rather odd? I mean, awakening magical talent at this age is truly rare," Mai Ge said.

Generally, wizards awaken their magical talent early. Many wizard families have children who appear in Hogwarts's Admission Book at birth; for someone like Dali, awakening his magical talent at eleven, a month before school starts, is quite uncommon.

"Indeed it's rare, but in Hogwarts's history he's not the only one."

Dengbulido said calmly.

"Nevertheless there's nothing to worry about; since Penny's sister is a wizard, her son awakening magical talent and becoming a wizard isn't impossible."

"Also, I've had someone meet Dali, confirming he truly awakened his magical talent, and we haven't found any abnormality."

Mai Ge stopped, looking at Dengbulido with some surprise.

"Have you already investigated? It seems I was overthinking," Mai Ge said.

"Yes, after I saw Da Li De Si Li's name appear in the Admission Book, I immediately had someone approach him and performed a divination for him."

Dengbulido said.

Hearing this, Mai Ge nodded slightly; Dengbulido was indeed still very concerned about Harry.

"What was the divination result?"

Dengbulido shook his head, "It was a simple Tarot reading; he asked about the past, present, and future. The Emperor card represented the past, Judgment represented the future, and as for the present, unfortunately Vernon's intrusion knocked over the divination table, so no one knows which card it was."

Mai Ge frowned.

"So, what does that mean? Emperor, Judgment…"

Mai Ge also knows some divination, but she is not familiar with Tarot cards.

"There's nothing clear; the indications of those two cards are somewhat vague. The diviner tried to interpret them but found she couldn't at all, that's her exact wording, so…"

Dengbulido spread his hands and said no more.

"Alright, then we'll see after entering the school," Professor Mai Ge said. "On September 1st I'll be on the Hogwarts Express, enjoying the feeling of going to school as a child."

Dengbulido smiled faintly.

He understood that Mai Ge was still somewhat worried, hoping to escort Harry onto the train into Hogwarts; once they reached the school, Harry would be far safer.

"Then I leave it to Professor Mai Ge."

Dengbulido said.

"Perhaps Harry will become a Gryffindor student; I'm just escorting a child from my own house to school early."

Mai Ge said with a smile.

The Gulingge incident's emergence forced them to consider Harry's safety, especially in the time before Harry entered Hogwarts.

The two walked only a short distance before both vanished from the street, as if they had never been there.

Time passed swiftly.

During August, Dali spent most of his time reading Spellbooks, and for much of the magical knowledge he had largely taught himself.

With Extraordinary Ability and an IQ and Knowledge far surpassing his peers, Dali, even though he had never encountered Magic, learned at a rapid pace.

Even the first‑year spells posed no difficulty for him.

Meow.

The cat's meow came, and an orange kitten hopped lightly, slipped into Dali's arms, nudged a few times, then found a comfortable position and lay down.

Dali casually petted the cat.

It was a Gift from his parents.

The main reason was that Penny and Vernon felt, since Harry has an owl as a pet, Dali shouldn't be without one.

After learning about wizard pets, they ruled out toads, snakes, and other odd creatures, finally choosing a cat.

The cat was selected by Dali himself at the pet shop, simply because it caught his eye.

"Tomorrow I'm going to Hogwarts; I'm getting more and more excited about this magical world," Dali said.

Dali said while petting the cat.

"Unfortunately my Extraordinary Trait hasn't fully manifested yet; I estimate it will take about ten days to half a month, and without the support of the role‑playing law, digestion is truly slow."

Dali was somewhat helpless.

Lawyers' and arbitrators' Extraordinary Traits digest at a comparable rate; this is already the best Dali can manage by role‑playing, otherwise the digestion would take at least six months.

At this speed, Dali can still accept it.

"I don't know whether Hogwarts has positions like class monitor, grade leader, or student council president; if it does, I could use that to digest the later Law Enforcement Officer and other Extraordinary Traits." Dali thought to himself.

After stroking the cat for a while, Dali started packing his luggage.

Early tomorrow morning, his dad will drive him and Harry to London's King's Cross Station, but the platform nine and three-quarters on the ticket leaves Dali somewhat baffled.
