Chapter 37: Beatdown

~6 min read 1,106 words

"Did I say something wrong? Mudbloods are mudbloods." Ma Er Fu arrogantly continued, "Potter, if you stay with these people, it won't be long before you fall like them! Just like your parents."

Ma Er Fu's words completely enraged Harry.

Luoen was also burning with anger, and when he saw Harry about to charge, he unhesitatingly chose to help.

Swish.

At that moment, Dali suddenly acted, one hand each, grabbing Harry and Luoen.

"Dali, he's insulting you, and it's really harsh."

Luoen tried to break free from Dali, but found Dali's hand like iron tongs, gripping him tightly, unable to escape.

On the other side, Harry was also flushed.

Dali has always advocated violence, hasn't he? Why is he chicken now?

Dali didn't respond to Harry and Luoen, but slightly turned his head to glance at the far end of the corridor.

With Spiritual Sight, there was a vague figure there, and from the light it emitted, the spiritual power was strong, likely a very powerful wizard.

Immediately, Dali's gaze shifted to the neighboring compartment.

That compartment was marked as temporarily out of service, with a thick curtain behind the door, obscuring the interior. Yet he could still sense spiritual power emanating from within, meaning a powerful wizard was inside as well.

Since boarding, Dali had observed that the seemingly simple train concealed many powerful wizards.

He didn't know what these people were here for; perhaps to protect their safety, or perhaps other motives.

But regardless, in such a situation, one must be sufficiently cautious.

This is the survival rule Dali learned in that bizarre world.

"Do you think your lineage is noble?"

Dali said as he took a step forward.

His Spiritual Sight opened, eyes fixed on Ma Er Fu and the two henchmen behind him.

"Hmph, far more noble than a mudblood like you."

Ma Er Fu frowned and said.

He didn't know why, but he felt an indescribable pressure emanating from Dali.

"One's worth has never been determined by lineage. In my view, your so‑called nobility is merely your own wishful thinking. Apart from blood, you have nothing."

"Take you, your so‑called pure noble blood; in you I see only pure—garbage!"

"No matter how noble the garbage, it's still garbage."

Dali looked at Ma Er Fu, his voice steady, and said.

Spiritual power spread with his voice, and Extraordinary Ability had activated.

As Dali exuded authority, his lawyer's persuasive skill and eloquence took effect; simultaneously, Dali used the lawyer's Extraordinary Ability to steer and twist Ma Er Fu, as well as Ke La Bu and Gao Er Er's thoughts and emotions.

"What are you saying?"

Ma Er Fu's face twisted instantly.

Ke La Bu and Gao Er Er also became extremely angry at that moment.

Their noble lineages were devalued by Dali as worthless, and more importantly, hearing those words, they actually thought Dali was right.

This made them even more furious, an unparalleled rage.

"Kill them for me."

While Ma Er Fu shouted and charged forward, he didn't forget to order Ke La Bu and Gao Er Er.

Ma Er Fu's angry fist slammed straight at the nearest Harry, and Harry, seeing this, chose to retaliate without hesitation.

But he forgot he was still being held by Dali, so his strike lacked control, giving Ma Er Fu the chance to land a punch on Harry's face.

"Ah…"

Harry let out a startled cry.

It wasn't that he was hit by Ma Er Fu's fist; rather, Dali's grip pulled him backward, causing him to fall.

However, Ma Er Fu's fist was not without effect; it knocked Harry's glasses off, sending them flying and shattering on the floor.

"Ma Er Fu, you dare hit my brother; I will not let you get away today!"

Dali suddenly shouted, raised his hand, and punched Ma Er Fu's face, hurling him from the carriage onto the outside corridor.

"And you two, bullying my brother, right? I can't kill you."

Dali shouted while wildly striking.

Screams and Dali's shouts rose and fell for just two or three seconds, and Ke La Bu, Gao Er Er, and Ma Er Fu were all hammered out, screaming as they landed on the outside corridor.

In the compartment, Harry and Luoen stared dumbfounded at the scene, as if petrified.

In that instant, they couldn't react; Dali's strike was too fast, too brutal, each punch landing solidly on the three, and even just watching, Luoen felt his own flesh ache.

It hurt, truly too much.

After throwing the three out of the compartment, Dali didn't chase further; instead, he tore Harry's clothing and smeared blood—whether from Ke La Bu or Ma Er Fu—onto Harry's face.

These actions were executed in one fluid motion.

"What are you doing?"

A middle‑aged woman's voice, shocked and angry, came from the corridor outside.

The neighboring compartment marked out of service was yanked open with a swish, and two middle‑aged men in wizard robes stepped out.

"Oh, my God!"

The woman was Professor McGonagall; she first saw Ma Er Fu's blood‑splattered face, and Ke La Bu and Gao Er Er rolling in pain, then hurried forward and also saw Harry Potter's blood‑splattered face.

"You… what are you doing?"

Professor McGonagall stared in shock at the scene.

"That guy called Ma Er Fu, with his two henchmen, ran into our compartment to attack my brother Harry Potter."

"Look, you see, you broke my little brother's glasses, his face is all blood."

Dali said loudly.

At this moment, the hallway outside was already packed with students; when they heard Dali's words, they basically ignored everything else, but they latched onto the only point.

Someone hit Harry Potter!

And he was left with his face covered in blood.

"What? Harry Potter came to our school?"

"Who hit Harry Potter?"

"Who hit Harry Potter? Who's so bold?"

…

The crowd was excited, after all Harry Potter's fame in the Magic world is still very high; many people regard him as an idol, and for such a little brother, on his first day on the way to Hogwarts, to be hit by someone is simply intolerable.

Ma Er Fu, lying on the ground, heard this and was so angry he almost couldn't breathe; he whined and tried to argue, but when he opened his mouth it was full of blood foam, making it impossible to speak clearly.

"Professor, they're going too far. Right away they said Harry is as ungrateful as his parents, even called Harry's cousin a mud‑blood, and punched Harry's glasses away." Luoen at this moment snapped back to his senses and firmly blamed Ma Er Fu for all the crimes.
