Chapter 38: Physical Persuasion
That's right, professor, they not only hit me, they also insulted my parents…
Harry's eyes reddened, and he spoke in a low voice.
Dali watched the scene, nodding his head in satisfaction.
These two kids are pretty well-behaved.
"Harry, are you okay? Let me check your injuries."
A middle-aged black man from the next compartment said, his face full of reluctance.
"I'm fine, I'm fine, just a minor injury." Harry took a step back and said softly.
He didn't dare let anyone examine his injury; aside from his eyes being a bit sore from Malfoy's punch and turning red, he had no injury elsewhere.
When Dali tore his clothes and smeared blood on his face, he had already realized.
And after the middle-aged woman and the two wizards from the next compartment appeared, Harry couldn't help but admire Dali's cleverness.
If he had directly attacked Malfoy earlier, then now it would be himself who couldn't be cleared.
Fortunately, Dali stopped all of this from happening.
"Professor, I can testify for them—I definitely heard Malfoy call Dali a mudblood and insult Harry's parents; I originally wanted to come out and stop the fight, but as soon as I came out I saw Malfoy swinging his fist and hitting someone, it was terrifying."
The speaker was the curly-haired, big-toothed little girl Hermione Granger who had visited Harry's compartment before; she was obviously frightened.
"I saw it too."
The round-faced boy who had lost his toad also spoke softly.
"How can this be, hitting someone as soon as they arrive?"
"Exactly, we're all classmates; to insult someone so harshly and then resort to violence—I wouldn't dare be in the same house as someone like that."
"It's too terrifying, Professor McGonagall—can students like this really be admitted to Hogwarts?"
"Is this what they call a pure-blood wizard? It's utterly embarrassing."
……
Everyone chattered, sneering at Malfoy and the others on the ground.
It seems few in this compartment know Malfoy, so basically no one among the crowd gathering now speaks up for him.
"Quiet, everyone return to your compartments."
Professor McGonagall took a deep breath and spoke loudly.
Hearing this, although somewhat reluctant, everyone obediently returned to their compartments.
"First, take them to their own compartments."
Professor McGonagall looked at the three Malfoys on the ground, furious.
"I'll handle it."
The middle-aged black wizard who had spoken earlier drew his wand and cast a Levitation Spell on the three on the ground, making them float toward the end of the corridor.
However, whether intentional or not, during this process either Crabbe's foot hit the door, or Malfoy's head accidentally hit the railing, or Goyle's spell went wrong and he fell from midair to the ground; all we could hear was the three of them, who were already whimpering, still occasionally letting out cries of pain on the way back.
"Jin Si Lai, be careful!"
Professor McGonagall couldn't help but remind him.
"Okay, Professor McGonagall, I'll do my best."
Sounds came from the neighboring corridor, but one could still occasionally hear Malfoy's cries.
"You three, tell me exactly what happened."
Professor McGonagall said sternly.
She could see that although Harry's face was covered in blood, he had no serious injuries; obviously, in this conflict Harry did not suffer.
On the contrary, the three Malfoys, whether in appearance or reality, were much worse off than Harry.
"Professor McGonagall, it was me who struck; blame me if you must." Dali said voluntarily.
Professor McGonagall's gaze fell on Dali.
She had originally been prejudiced against this Dursley family child, after all, from her previous contact with the Dursley family, their attitude toward magic destined them to be unfriendly to Harry, and later events also confirmed her view.
But it must be said, when Dali Dursley's name appeared in Hogwarts' Admission Book, Professor McGonagall was still quite surprised.
First, very few people awaken magical talent at this age; second, can a family like the Dursleys really produce a wizard? She expressed doubt, even suggesting Dumbledore investigate Dali thoroughly.
Now it seems this boy indeed has some extraordinary qualities, at least in strength.
"Professor McGonagall, don't blame Dali; it was my retaliation that caused this." Harry said.
"Oh, do you all want to start sharing the blame now?" Professor McGonagall gave them a deep look.
Dali and the three others said nothing more.
"Alright, I'll tell Professor Dumbledore about this; I believe he will handle it fairly."
"However, your punishment is unavoidable. As for the three Malfoys, their punishment will be even greater than yours; I'll tell you after you complete the Sorting Ceremony."
"Alright, now pack up and prepare to disembark for school."
Professor McGonagall said angrily.
"Wait, Professor McGonagall, do you perhaps have a misunderstanding? I didn't participate in this."
Ron said with an innocent face.
He was just sitting quietly aside, then got inexplicably dragged into this conflict, and didn't even have time to throw a punch at Malfoy.
"Oh, as a classmate, you also need to bear some responsibility for not stopping the conflict in time."
Professor McGonagall lightly patted Ron's shoulder, turned and left, and didn't forget to close the compartment door for the three as she went.
Ron stretched his neck, spread his arms, looking like a clueless owl.
"Hahaha."
Harry was the first to laugh out loud.
Dali also showed a smile.
Then it was Luoen.
"Oh, it seems I can't escape." Luoen shrugged helplessly with a wry smile.
"I heard from my dad that Ma Er Fu's dad is very capable; I originally thought this would be troublesome, and his dad would surely come to the school to cause a fuss, but according to Professor McGonagall's words, our punishment shouldn't be too severe."
"Maintain a superficial fairness, Belief; she's still on Harry's side, otherwise, if it were me, I'd definitely give Harry an injury assessment first instead of just letting us off like this." Dali said.
"Why?"
Harry asked with some Doubt.
Dali smiled and tapped Harry's forehead, saying: "My foolish brother, this is your Life-saving Golden Badge."
Harry and Luoen exchanged a glance, still somewhat Doubt.
"Because, you are the famous Harry Potter!"
Harry seemed to understand something, couldn't help but roll his eyes and say: "You also want to tease me?"
"I won't."
Dali casually wiped the blood off his hands, picked up the kitten and continued to pet it, a complete contrast to when he had violently beaten Ma Er Fu and his three companions. Now he appeared so elegant and dignified; if he wore a top hat and carried a cane, he would be a gentleman straight out of the middle world.
"Belief, those kids in our neighborhood calling you D Ge isn't without reason."
Harry suddenly said.
"Since words can't persuade, we'll have to resort to physical persuasion." Dali raised his eyes, smiling elegantly.
