Chapter 4: Extraordinary Trait
"We must absorb these Extraordinary Traits immediately!"
In almost an instant, Dali had already made his decision.
He had no time to hesitate; these Extraordinary Traits were already beginning to corrode his body, and if he didn't act, the result would only get worse.
Dali's consciousness spread outward, soon contacting the two mysteriously gelatinous masses and guiding them to merge into his body.
The next moment, the two Extraordinary Traits instantly dispersed, and Dali felt his vision plunge into chaos, colors exploding before his eyes like fireworks—vivid reds, eerie blues, dazzling whites…
Soft whispers echoed continuously at his ears.
But the sound seemed to come from a far‑away place, across countless dimensions, making it almost impossible for Dali to discern any phoneme, only a dull ache in his head.
He felt as if he were stepping on void, his body shaking uncontrollably, as if he would fall at any moment and be shattered to pieces.
It was both familiar and somewhat alien.
Fortunately, it didn't last long; Dali recovered from the chaotic, hallucinatory state.
"Huh~"
Dali gasped for breath and reached out to steady himself on the nearby table.
"It's fine; nothing untoward happened."
Dali muttered softly.
What just occurred made Dali feel as if he were back to his first time taking a Magic Pill, a mix of tension, unease, and excitement.
He had long known how to handle such a situation, especially since these were merely two Low Sequence Extraordinary Traits; absorbing them posed no difficulty for him.
After calming his mind, Dali gradually settled.
"Two Extraordinary Traits, two avenues."
Dali slowly sat on the edge of the bed.
"The Black Emperor Sequence and the Judicator Sequence are adjacent; conversion can occur at a High Sequence. Yet my body harbors Extraordinary Traits from both sequences simultaneously—meaning I achieved a fusion of the two sequences while at a High Sequence?"
At that thought, Dali felt a sharp sting in his brain, and vague murmurs rose at his ears.
He furrowed his brow and, going with the flow, abandoned further contemplation.
Obviously, these matters were beyond his current grasp, and now that he had become an Extraordinary One, his spiritual intuition advised him to refrain from pondering them for the time being.
"Never mind, we'll take it one step at a time."
Dali shifted his focus to his own body; at this moment, he was already an Extraordinary One, and a dual‑Sequence Extraordinary One.
"The Black Emperor Sequence's Sequence 9 Lawyer excels at spotting and exploiting loopholes in rules and opponents' weaknesses, attacks foes through order, possesses extraordinary eloquence and persuasion, and can to some extent warp or guide a target's thoughts, making them feel friendly and inclined to trust."
"The Judicator Sequence's Sequence 9 Arbiter wields convincing charisma and sufficient authority, as well as superb combat skills for unexpected situations. When clashing with an Arbiter, others often lack confidence and tend to submit."
"Combined, these two abilities complement each other; even as a low‑Sequence Extraordinary One, I could thrive in this ordinary world."
Dali thought to himself.
He had long been adept at wielding the abilities of these two sequences, needing hardly any familiarization.
Dali stood before the mirror, looking at his reflection.
His eyes, compared to before, had grown deeper, shifting from pale blue to bright blue—a sign that the Extraordinary Trait's power had not yet fully condensed.
Dali inhaled deeply, gradually calming the Extraordinary power within; soon his eyes returned to their former pale blue.
A faint series of footsteps came from outside the door.
"Dada, little sweetheart, have you rested? Remember we're going to the zoo later?"
Penny asked softly, fearing she might anger Dali.
"Okay, Mom, I'll come down right away."
Dali replied.
"Alright then, we'll wait for you downstairs." Hearing Dali's voice, Penny breathed a sigh of relief, smiled contentedly, and went downstairs.
A few minutes later, Dali returned downstairs.
In the Restaurant, Harry stood in a corner, watching Dali warily.
What had happened earlier made him no longer harbor any illusion about Dali; any friendliness the cousin displayed was merely a prelude to a new scheme.
Seeing Harry punished to stand in the corner, Dali felt a pang of guilt.
Just as he wondered how to make amends, the phone rang, and Penny hurried over to answer.
Soon after Penny hung up, her complexion turned sour, looking both angry and anxious.
"Bad news, Vernon," she said, "Mrs. Feige broke her leg and can't come to pick him up."
After speaking, Penny, still looking sour, pointed at Harry standing in the corner.
Upon hearing that, Harry's eyes lit up noticeably.
Obviously, he didn't want to go to Mrs. Feige's house.
Dali keenly caught Harry's expression and demeanor.
"What now?"
Penny stared at Harry in exasperation, as if the whole thing had been orchestrated by him.
"How about letting Maji watch the kid for now?" Vernon said uncertainly.
"Don't be foolish; Maji hates that kid," Penny shook her head.
"Ahem..."
At that moment, Dali let out a soft cough, drawing everyone's attention to him.
"I think we can take Harry to the zoo together,"
Dali said with a smile.
Vernon and Penny's eyes widened instantly, showing disbelief.
Dali, actually volunteered to take Harry to the zoo?
They won't be hallucinations, right?
Even Harry himself showed an Unbelievable expression at this time.
Although he really wanted to go to the zoo to play, from childhood to adulthood, he Lack gone to the zoo.
He never Lack hope, Dali family would take him along, the best outcome he had ever considered was that Dali family would leave him at home, so he could watch TV and play Dali's game console.
Wait, no, he definitely wants to mess with me again!
Almost in an instant, Harry suddenly woke up.
Dali wants to take him to the zoo, would he be that kind?
He definitely came up with some new prank idea.
On the other side, Dali Lack paid attention to Harry's expression, but instead looked at his parents with a calm expression.
If Harry is left at home, he might cause some trouble; it's better to bring him along, so we can keep a close watch on him.
Dali said.
His tone was calm, yet it carried an unquestionable authority, and at the same time seemed very convincing.
Vernon and Penny were stunned, then the two quickly exchanged a glance.
I Belief Dali said is right, we can't leave Harry alone at home, you know, he might...
Penny immediately nodded, 'Hmm, still our little darling's thought is thorough, then let's decide this way.'
