Chapter 65: then translation of chapter title
When Dali was beating Ma Er Fu, that ferocity, that brutality, that insane vigor made Harry feel fear. In the blink of an eye, Dali's face changed to a calm smile, elegant as a noble who stepped out of the Middle World.
Is such a before-and-after transformation really something a normal person can do?
Is this person really his brother Dali?
"What are you looking at? Do I have blood on my face?"
Dali, puzzled, touched his own face and asked with a light laugh.
"No... no, it's just..."
Harry didn't know what to say for a moment.
Dali smiled and didn't ask further.
"Stop, don't hit any more, you all stop hitting."
Hermione's voice kept coming from outside, trying to pull a Gryffindor student.
However, her stopping had no effect, and instead drew many angry gazes from the Gryffindor side.
Dali glanced at Hermione and shook his head.
At a time like this, regardless of the reason, Hermione should have taken part.
It's like a token of allegiance; not joining means you're not in the group, especially since this is a fight between two houses, representing not an individual but a collective.
Dali could already imagine Hermione's upcoming situation.
"Oh, my God, what are you doing?"
"Stop, all of you stop!"
Professor Mai Ge's stern voice came, finally causing the battle to slowly cease.
"What happened?"
"What's going on?"
Several professors noticed the situation, followed closely behind Professor Mai Ge, and arrived on the courtyard.
However, the scene that unfolded here indeed opened the eyes of these Hogwarts teachers.
Gryffindor students and Slytherin House students were tangled together, almost everyone bearing injuries, and even after the teachers arrived, they were still overlapping, hard to separate.
In the end, a few teachers had to use Magic to completely separate them.
"Professor Mai Ge, I tried to stop them, but they wouldn't listen at all."
Hermione said with a slight sob.
Professor Mai Ge looked at the chaotic scene before her, her expression as grim as could be.
More than ten minutes later.
In Professor Mai Ge's office.
"Gryffindor, lose a hundred points! I am truly disappointed in you."
"In the second week of term, a brawl, I've never taught students like you."
"As head of Gryffindor, I am ashamed of you."
Professor Mai Ge was clearly quite angry, unleashing a tirade at these first-year freshmen.
"Professor Mai Ge, it was the Slytherin House students who struck first, and they also insulted us," Luoen shouted.
"Right, Professor Mai Ge, we can't just let the Slytherin students get away with a free beating, can we?"
"Exactly, we also fight for the house, we cannot lose."
Everyone immediately said so, and the office erupted into noise.
Dali stood among the crowd, expression indifferent, with a hint of a spectator's mindset.
This incident wasn't caused by a single person, and it's hard to tell who is right or wrong; in this situation, everyone feels emboldened because they know the law doesn't punish the masses.
Professor Mai Ge can at most deduct points from them; she won't expel them all.
"Miss Ge Lan Jie, you speak."
Professor Mai Ge glared fiercely at the crowd, then looked at Hermione, the only student who hadn't taken part in the brawl.
Hermione quickly recounted what had happened on the courtyard, emphasizing Ma Er Fu's insult toward them, that Ma Er Fu had taken Na Wei's memory orb and illegally prepared to hide while riding a flying broom; Dali stepped forward to stop Ma Er Fu, after which Ma Er Fu, angry and ashamed, attacked Dali, sparking a full-blown student war between the two houses.
After hearing Hermione's account, Professor Mai Ge's expression remained grim, but she was clearly less angry than before.
"Regardless of the reason, fighting is always wrong."
"Especially, several Slytherin House students are now lying in the hospital; you'd better pray they stay okay."
Professor Mai Ge said in a solemn tone.
Her gaze swept over the crowd, lingering for a moment on the unscathed Dali.
"Alright, go back, and if you feel unwell, go to the hospital immediately."
"De Si Li, Bo Te, you two stay behind."
After speaking, Professor Mai Ge waved her hand impatiently, signaling the freshmen to disappear from her sight quickly.
Out of sight, out of mind.
Before leaving, Luoen looked at Dali and Harry with pity.
Soon, only three people remained in the office.
"De Si Li! I thought, being exemplary in both conduct and studies, you wouldn't have this happen again, yet only two weeks have passed and you have once more beaten a classmate, the same one at that; can't you control your own hands?"
"Or are you saying you were born a barbarian?"
Mai Ge said sternly.
"Professor Mai Ge, I think the main reason is that Ma Er Fu is just begging to be hit, not that I had to beat him. Of Course, if you think I'm a barbarian, fine, I admit I am a barbarian, and my brother Harry can testify to that."
"He knows very well how barbaric I was before, and now I've restrained myself a lot, right, Harry?"
Harry immediately nodded vigorously.
Indeed, compared to before, Dali has indeed restrained himself a lot; at least now he can be considered a barbarian with a brain.
Professor McGonagall was so angry she couldn't speak for a moment.
She really had never encountered such a student before.
After glaring fiercely at Dali, she looked toward Harry.
"Mr. Potter, the famous boy, I thought you would lead by example and set a good example for everyone, but your recent performance has truly disappointed me."
"Do you know? You two beat Ma Er Fu into serious injury; he is still lying unconscious in the hospital."
"This matter will bring you great trouble, you know?"
Professor McGonagall said solemnly.
Upon hearing this, Harry's face turned pale instantly; "Sorry, Professor, I know I was wrong."
Seeing Harry like this, McGonagall furrowed her brows and couldn't bear to continue.
"Alright, you may go back. I will go negotiate with Slytherin House and also explain the situation to Professor Dengbulido; we can't let Gryffindor bear all the responsibility, can we?"
Professor McGonagall said.
"Thank you, Professor McGonagall."
Harry and Dali responded immediately and walked toward the doorway.
Harry opened the door, just about to leave, but Dali suddenly stopped, turned around and said: "Professor McGonagall, we Gryffindor have won!"
As his words fell, Dali grabbed Harry and rushed out of the office.
"Dursley."
Professor McGonagall's voice came from behind the door, with a feeling of gnashing her teeth, but she seemed Lack as angry as before.
