Chapter 64: Dad

~6 min read 1,094 words

"It's the memory orb that that big‑fool's grandmother gave him."

Ma Er Fu chuckled lightly.

During breakfast, they saw with their own eyes Dali open the package.

"Bring it over, Ma Er Fu."

Harry said softly.

Everyone fell silent and looked at the two of them.

Dali stayed back, watching the scene before him with interest.

"What if I say no!"

Ma Er Fu said with a cold sneer.

"I'll hide it somewhere hard to find, so that big‑fool has to fetch it—how about on a tree? Or perhaps on the castle's roof?"

Ma Er Fu flashed a hideous grin and asked Ke La Bu and Gao Er behind him.

Immediately, he leapt onto a flying broom.

"If you've got the skill, come get it!"

Ma Er Fu gave Harry a provocative glance, gave the ground a light kick, and flew away.

Harry, unwilling to be outdone, was about to jump onto his own flying broom to chase, but Hermione held him back.

"No, no! Ms. Huoqi said we shouldn't move; you'll bring us big trouble," Hermione shrieked.

But at that moment Harry was clearly high‑on‑something, ignoring Hermione's words, shaking her off, and intending to ride his broom to chase.

But then,

"Ma Er Fu! Get down!"

Dali barked.

Ma Er Fu, who had been soaring smoothly, suddenly trembled violently as if terrified; his broom lost control and began to wobble.

"Ah…"

Boom…

Ma Er Fu let out a startled cry and tumbled head‑first off his broom, landing face‑down on the ground.

Fortunately he wasn't far from the ground; otherwise the fall would have snapped his neck.

"Hahaha…"

In an instant, Gryffindor erupted with booming laughter.

Everyone found Ma Er Fu disagreeable but dared not openly confront him; yet when he made a fool of himself before everyone, they freely offered their mockery.

Even on the Slytherin side, a few people laughed out loud, though not as loudly as those in Gryffindor.

Ke La Bu and Gao Er hurried over and turned the face‑down Ma Er Fu over.

But at this point Ma Er Fu clearly didn't want to face the crowd.

His face was smeared with dirt and green weeds, looking utterly disheveled amid the crowd's laughter.

Ma Er Fu's face showed shock and stupefaction; for a moment he felt he no longer wanted to stay in this world.

"Hahaha, is this really Ma Er Fu? Pure‑blood wizard? I'd call it pure‑blood shame. Hahaha, you're killing me."

Luoen seized the chance to mock Ma Er Fu and shouted loudly.

Harry had by now descended from his broom, looking at the disheveled Ma Er Fu on the ground, laughing delightedly.

"Dali De Si Li!"

Ma Er Fu nearly bit his own teeth.

He had never hated anyone as he did now.

"Oh, what's the matter? I was just warning you not to fly up, since Ms. Huoqi said we're not allowed to ride flying brooms."

Dali said with a faint smile.

"You… you…"

Ma Er Fu was so angry he could barely breathe; the dirt covered his complexion, otherwise everyone would have seen a cheek the color of pig liver.

He was completely blinded by rage, utterly losing his sanity.

"Aaaah, I'll kill you…"

Ma Er Fu sprang from the ground, swinging a fist at Dali.

"What are you doing?"

Harry and Luoen reacted instantly and charged forward.

Ke La Bu and Gao Er behind Ma Er Fu were equally eager and ran after them.

Behind them, several Slytherin students hesitated briefly, then followed.

Seeing this, Gryffindor showed no sign of backing down and surged forward en masse.

In an instant, students from both houses grappled together, their cries and battle shouts mingling, comparable to a world war.

"Stop!"

"Stop quickly, don't keep fighting!"

…

Hermione shouted from the side, but at that moment, no one was listening to her.

"For Gryffindor's honor!"

"For Slytherin!"

At this moment, their fight was no longer just for themselves, but for their respective houses.

They must not lose.

Among the crowd, Dali's mouth corner twitched slightly.

"Earlier I still Belief Lack chance, look, chance—hasn't it just arrived?"

With only an authoritative rebuke and a tiny bit of guidance, Ma Er Fu walked right in himself.

He even dragged the whole Slytherin and Gryffindor in.

Very good, very good.

Dali, without a word, cut through the crowd, occasionally punching the surrounding Slytherin students a couple of times.

He controlled his force, not enough to seriously injure the students, but enough to make them hurt for several days.

Soon, he reached Ma Er Fu's side; at that moment, Ma Er Fu was grappling with Harry, the two fighting with such intensity it was hard to pull them apart.

Harry's physique is thin and weak; although he has grown a lot lately, compared with Ma Er Fu, he's still somewhat lacking.

But Ma Er Fu on the other side is no better; as a pampered young master, he has never experienced such close‑quarters hand‑to‑hand combat, which utterly challenges his imagination.

"You…"

Ma Er Fu noticed Dali had come over, and his complexion changed instantly.

Boom!

Dali, without a word, leapt up with a punch.

"Ah!"

Ma Er Fu let out a wail, tears streaming out.

"I make you act pretentious!"

"I make you talk trash!"

"I make you insult me!"

Each time Dali said a line, he delivered a punch, beating Ma Er Fu so that even his wailing ceased.

Harry watched the scene in horror, as if he had returned to the time when Dali bullied him before.

He suddenly Realisation, Dali has only recently become gentle; before, he was completely unlike that. This guy is, at his core, a full‑blown barbarian.

"No... don't hit any more."

Ma Er Fu began begging for mercy.

He truly was scared by the beating.

This Dali is simply a devil.

"Call dad!"

Dali threw another punch.

Ma Er Fu's face was covered in blood, letting out a wail.

"Dad, I'm sorry."

"I really was wrong."

Ma Er Fu said unclearly.

"Speak louder!"

"I was wrong, dad!"

Ma Er Fu shouted.

Dali stopped his action.

He calculated the time; it's about enough.

Work's done.

Dali elegantly wiped the blood from his hand onto Ma Er Fu's clothes, then gave Ma Er Fu an innocently friendly smile.

"I don't have a wayward descendant like you."

With a kick, Dali shoved Ma Er Fu away and looked at Harry.

"Let's go, the teacher is coming soon."

Dali said calmly.

Harry swallowed, looked at his brother, and suddenly felt a chilling terror crawl over his scalp.
