Chapter 75: Heaven's Will Cannot Be Defied
Harry widened his eyes in surprise, staring at the horsefolk before him.
"I don't understand why you are concerned with my fate; I mean, I have nothing special."
"And even if my fate changes, it probably doesn't mean anything."
Fei Lunze gave Harry a deep glance.
"None of us want to return to that dark age. Harry, your fate is not just your own; it also represents the fate of the Magic World."
"The celestial signs have shifted, and your fate is gradually becoming impossible to discern."
"I'm not sure whether that's a good thing or a bad thing."
"But you must know that the castle and the Forbidden Forest are becoming unsafe; you need to stay vigilant at all times."
Fei Lunze's words caught Harry off guard; his mind filled with doubt and confusion, and he instinctively looked toward Dali.
"I want to know, when did the celestial signs you mentioned change?"
Dali asked softly.
"Around July, I suppose."
Fei Lunze glanced at Dali and said.
Upon hearing that, Dali's gaze flickered slightly, and he nodded.
His Birthday is June 23, not far from July.
"In short, protect yourself, understand, Harry." Fei Lunze looked at Harry again.
"Understood, thank you for the reminder."
Harry still didn't grasp many things, but he nodded.
"May I ask you a few questions?"
Dali suddenly spoke.
"Sure, but I may not answer." Fei Lunze looked at Dali.
"Fei Lunze, this is my cousin Dali; he has a high talent."
Harry hurriedly said.
He meant that, if possible, Fei Lunze should try to answer Dali's questions.
Fei Lunze said nothing, merely gazing calmly at Dali.
Luoen could not interject at all; he felt like a person from another world.
Dali thought for a moment and posed his first question.
"What does unicorn blood do?"
Dali asked.
He had previously checked the library, but the books accessible to first‑year students only mentioned that unicorns are a very pure Magic creature, without noting any effect of their blood.
Now it seems the blood likely has other special uses, probably linked to Dark Magic; otherwise ordinary books wouldn't omit it entirely.
"Unicorns are extremely pure beings," Fei Lunze said, "killing a unicorn is an act of extreme brutality."
"Only those who have nothing yet covet everything would commit such a heinous crime."
Fei Lunze paused, looking seriously at Dali.
"Unicorn blood can extend your life; even when you are on the brink of death, it can pull you back from the edge."
"Of Course, you must pay a terrible price for it."
"To save your own life, you slaughtered such a pure Magic creature; the instant your lips touch unicorn blood, you become a half‑dead, cursed existence."
Fei Lunze said solemnly.
Dali's expression flickered slightly.
For some reason, when Fei Lunze mentioned this, the first thing that came to his mind was himself.
From the moment he encountered the Extraordinary Trait, he too was a cursed life.
The Extraordinary One are merely a pitiful lot constantly on the brink of losing control and danger.
That is, Dali's return to this world has greatly reduced the risk of the Extraordinary One losing control; otherwise, Dali and those cursed beings would not be that different.
That thought flashed through Dali's mind and vanished; he quickly readjusted, casting the thoughts aside.
"Who is that outlaw?" Harry, seeing Dali fall silent, loudly voiced his Doubt: "If you're cursed for life, isn't death preferable?"
"Indeed."
Fei Lunze nodded in agreement, "Unless you can obtain something else, something that can fully restore you; once you have it, you can…"
Suddenly, a hurried clatter of hooves rang through the forest.
Immediately after, several horsefolk burst out from the dark forest ahead.
"Fei Lunze!" one horsefolk roared, "What are you doing? Remember, we swore we must never defy Heaven's Will. Can't you see the omen shown by the planetary motions?"
"Bei En, don't rush, I believe Fei Lunze's actions are Of Course good." Another horsefolk urged.
"Good intentions? Luo Nan, what does that have to do with us? We are not humans' vassals, nor their pets or slaves!" Bei En said angrily.
"Bei En, the celestial signs have already changed, even becoming impossible to discern; isn't that telling us that fate is in our own hands?" Fei Lunze said gravely, "I'd rather act than do nothing."
"Our tribe already suffered severe damage from probing human fate, something never before seen." Bei En said coldly, glancing at Dali and the others, continuing, "This is Heaven's Will warning us not to interfere excessively in human affairs; Fei Lunze, you'd better know what you're doing."
"If because of you our horsefolk incur Heaven's Will's punishment, we won't let you go."
Fei Lunze fell silent, saying nothing more.
"You all, leave the Forbidden Forest immediately!"
"Also, regardless of what Fei Lunze just told you, I advise you to forget it; otherwise you may meet disaster—don't say we didn't warn you."
Bei En said coldly to Harry and the two others.
"Let's go."
Dali Lack said much, while also thanking Fei Lun Ze.
"Thank you for your advice."
Fei Lun Ze nodded.
The three of them quickly turned and headed out of the Forbidden Forest.
Fei Lun Ze watched the three leave, and only then returned to the other horsefolk.
"Fei Lun Ze, you shouldn't have taken it upon yourself to come here and tell them those things," Luo Nan said, frowning.
"The unicorn is being slaughtered, and we are powerless; you all know what that means," Fei Lun Ze said.
Bei En's face turned sour, and he said, "Heaven's will cannot be defied; we horsefolk only need to watch the planets' motions. Human affairs are none of our concern, understand?"
"If that person returns, can we still live peacefully in the Forbidden Forest as we do now?" Fei Lun Ze retorted.
"That is Heaven's will, unresistable!"
Bei En said.
