Chapter 364: The Old Wand Changes Hands
On the frontline battlefield of Dumbledore and Grindelwald.
The two locked in fierce battle simultaneously noticed that above Hogwarts Castle, several dozen fireworks had lit up.
Finally, even a Dark Mark shot out.
"Oh, it looks like we should move on to the next step of the plan."
Grindelwald saw the signal in the sky, and a meaningful smile curled at the corner of his mouth.
Dumbledore was the same, though he was somewhat worried about John's situation.
So he simply abandoned Grindelwald and sped toward Hogwarts.
"Albus!" Seeing Dumbledore abandon him, Grindelwald immediately shouted in dissatisfaction.
However, Dumbledore paid no heed to him.
Grindelwald simply summoned a blue-flame fire dragon and pursued.
The blue-flame fire dragon breathed a scorching stream straight at Dumbledore.
Dumbledore was utterly unaffected by the breath, directly raising a shield to keep the fire at bay.
One person sped ahead while the other gave chase fiercely.
But they hadn't gone very far yet.
As Dumbledore was busy fending off Grindelwald's pursuit while distractedly keeping an eye on Hogwarts.
"Avada Kedavra!!"
A sickly green beam tore through the air, aiming straight for Dumbledore's back.
Dumbledore staggered, swiftly waved his wand, conjuring a shield that barely blocked the deadly green light.
"Tom, what are you doing here!!"
Seeing the newcomer, Dumbledore narrowed his eyes, first glancing toward Hogwarts, then toward Voldemort.
He showed a clear look of worry.
Voldemort gave a cold laugh, didn't answer Dumbledore, but instead looked at the blue-flame fire dragon hovering in the sky and Grindelwald.
"I've long heard of Mr. Grindelwald's great name; seeing him today, it's truly deserved."
Grindelwald likewise looked at Voldemort with a contemptuous smile.
"Are you the one rumored outside to have a nose and eyes, the "Dark Lord"?"
"You don't seem to have a nose either?"
Hearing this blatantly mocking taunt, Voldemort narrowed his eyes, not reacting immediately.
As for this rumored figure, he too had only heard the name, never seen the person.
Upon seeing him now, he indeed possesses extraordinary strength.
But it's not enough to pose a genuine threat to him.
"Are you here to seek vengeance against Dumbledore?"
"What a coincidence; I also have a score to settle with Dumbledore—why don't I help you?"
Saying that, Voldemort raised his wand aimed at Dumbledore.
However, Grindelwald immediately snorted coldly.
The fire dragon at his feet instantly turned direction, the fierce blue flames sweeping like a tidal wave around Voldemort.
Voldemort waved his wand, raising a shield that steadily blocked the scorching blue flames.
"What do you mean?" Voldemort's face turned cold as he looked at Grindelwald.
Grindelwald stared coldly at Voldemort, speaking in a disdainful tone.
"Hah, when did I ever say I needed your help?"
"But a mere upstart brat dares to think he can stand equal to me?"
Despite being humiliated by Grindelwald, even if Voldemort intended to use him, he could hardly conceal the killing intent surging in his eyes.
The tip of his wand suddenly burst forth scarlet light, dozens of poisonous snakes condensed from black mist hissing as they lunged at Grindelwald.
Grindelwald did not retreat but advanced; the blue-flame fire dragon raised its head and roared, its flames condensing into giant claws that tore the poisonous snakes apart.
The poisonous snakes dissipated into strands of black smoke, yet did not vanish; instead, like living things, they coiled around the dragon's claws, sizzling.
The fire dragon's body was instantly being eroded bit by bit by the black mist.
Grindelwald narrowed his eyes and waved his wand.
Instantly, even hotter flames surged from within the fire dragon, in a moment burning away all the invading black mist.
The first exchange of blows left neither side with an advantage.
However, just as they faced off—
Dumbledore again abandoned them, turning and racing toward Hogwarts.
The two who were facing off simultaneously glanced sideways.
Voldemort gave a cold laugh, his shadow-like figure pursued, while not forgetting to leave a remark.
"Old thing, if you don't make up your mind, Dumbledore might escape."
Grindelwald coldly watched Voldemort's retreating back, snorted coldly, and then pursued together.
At once.
Grindelwald and Voldemort reached a subtle temporary alliance.
They were mutually wary, yet with Dumbledore as a common goal, they tacitly allowed each other to travel together for now.
Dumbledore had just arrived at the broken bridge of Hogwarts.
Seeing Harry and others gathered in the castle's courtyard, he did not see John and Snape's figures.
Before he could even speak to inquire, Harry and the others in the castle shouted loudly.
Headmaster!! Watch your back!!
Voldemort and Grindelwald's figures appeared together, a fire snake made of scarlet fierce fire and a fire dragon made of blue-flame fierce fire, intertwining as they attacked Dumbledore.
Dumbledore turned and waved his wand, instantly the ground rose, a heavy Stone Wall rose from the ground, simultaneously blocking both of their attacks.
But the explosion's aftermath engulfed Dumbledore's figure.
The Hogwarts crowd immediately stepped forward tensely.
Amidst the swirling smoke and dust, Dumbledore's figure did not retreat half a step.
However, Voldemort and Grindelwald's attacks came again, giving Dumbledore no chance to catch his breath.
Everyone saw Dumbledore fighting two opponents alone, and they all became extremely anxious.
"Draco, what's going on?"
"Grindelwald he..."
Harry was about to ask Draco why Grindelwald had teamed up with Voldemort.
"He shouldn't have teamed up with Dumbledore to lure Voldemort out, then join forces to deal with Voldemort, should he?"
"I don't know."
Draco shook his head very straightforwardly.
He really didn't know.
"But Bo Te, Dumbledore actually still has a message for me to pass on to you."
Draco looked toward Dumbledore's direction, noticing that Dumbledore had no intention to retreat and showed no sign of weakness.
Obviously, he was just stalling for time.
He immediately recalled the words Dumbledore had instructed him when he went to see Dumbledore the day before yesterday.
"What words?" Harry asked hurriedly.
"Do what you want to do." Draco said, looking at Harry.
Harry stood frozen in place, wondering what it meant.
The others were also taken aback.
Harry chewed over this nonsensical phrase, unconsciously gripping his wand with his fingertips, looking at Dumbledore who was fiercely battling.
Boom!!
On Dumbledore's side, he had just blocked Voldemort's Killing Curse.
As he was about to counterattack, Grindelwald had silently moved to his left side.
"Expelliarmus!"
The very sudden attack caught Dumbledore off guard, causing his wand to fly from his hand.
Voldemort instinctively fixed his gaze on that elder wand.
During the time when rumors of Grindelwald's return were causing an uproar.
He had been continuously investigating Grindelwald's affairs.
It was heard that Grindelwald once held an elder wand, which, together with the Resurrection Stone, is one of the Deathly Hallows, the Elder Wand.
Rumor has it that it grants its wielder unparalleled power, even surpassing the Death God.
But Grindelwald ultimately still lost to Dumbledore, and that Elder Wand then passed into Dumbledore's hands.
Now, this wand is flying out of Dumbledore's hand and falling into Grindelwald's hand.
A flash of obvious greed and desire passed through Voldemort's eyes.
Grindelwald, however, did not glance at Voldemort at all, only lowering his head to stare intently at the Elder Wand in his hand.
"Old friend, I'm back again."
Gripping the Elder Wand in his hand, Grindelwald revealed a long‑absent smile.
But the Elder Wand hasn't warmed up yet.
"Expelliarmus!"
Another Magic Spell surged forth suddenly, striking Grindelwald's right hand that held the Elder Wand.
The wand flew from his hand again.
Voldemort froze, because he too had been planning to sneak‑attack Grindelwald, but someone beat him to it.
He turned his head to look at the newcomer, and it turned out to be Harry, who had arrived at the battlefield at some point.
