Chapter 365: with translation of chapter title
The Elder Wand traced a silver-bright arc in the air and landed steadily in Harry's palm.
Three people simultaneously looked at Harry.
Unlike Voldemort's fury, Grindelwald showed a hint of meaningful approval, while Dumbledore displayed a subtle joy.
"Harry!"
Dumbledore directly reached out his hand to Harry.
Harry understood instantly and directly threw the Elder Wand into the air.
But just as Dumbledore's fingertip touched the wand's end, Voldemort's Avada Kedavra Curse came at him like a venomous snake.
He hastily rolled sideways, missing the chance to catch the Elder Wand.
Harry was startled, about to help.
Grindelwald's attack then came at Harry.
A scorching blue Fierce Fire instantly engulfed Harry.
Harry promptly raised the Iron Armor Spell, thus avoiding being burned.
However, this attack's power was lower than he had imagined.
"Don't move, child."
Grindelwald's voice sounded from the flames, audible only to Harry.
It caused Harry, who was about to resist, to pause.
On the other side, seeing the Elder Wand slip from his grasp, Voldemort's face lit up with joy.
With a gesture, the Elder Wand flew into his hand.
As his fingertip just touched the wand, the whole wand trembled slightly, as if resisting Voldemort.
But Voldemort paid no heed, thinking it was merely the wand testing the new master's will.
He instantly infused it with his own magical power.
Immediately, a surging magical power gushed forth from the Elder Wand.
"Hahaha!! The Elder Wand is mine!!"
Feeling this unprecedented power, Voldemort couldn't help but burst into loud laughter.
Everyone looked at the Elder Wand in Voldemort's hand, bursting with terrifying magical power, their faces showing horror.
But Dumbledore and Grindelwald exchanged a glance, and simultaneously a flicker of triumphant smile crossed their eyes.
"Voldemort!"
"Hand over the wand!"
Grindelwald lifted the suppression on Harry, turned his head, and shouted angrily at Voldemort.
In Voldemort's eyes.
He had lost the wand through carelessness, then hurriedly went to attack Harry.
Who would have thought that Harry immediately threw the wand to Dumbledore, causing him to miss the first chance to retrieve it.
Now he's turning around and shouting at himself.
"Old thing, do you think you're still the wind-summoning, rain-calling Dark Lord? Dare to point fingers at me!"
"I tell you, the world doesn't need two Dark Lords."
"Now I give you a chance: submit to me, and I can grant you a place."
"Otherwise, wait to be reduced to ashes together with Hogwarts."
Hearing Voldemort's mad words, Grindelwald suddenly burst into loud laughter, blue flames igniting around him.
"You wouldn't think that possessing the Elder Wand makes you invincible, would you?"
"Young man, I will make you understand that true power never comes from a wand!"
Having said that, Grindelwald clasped his palms together; the blue flame suddenly contracted, turning into a torrent that surged toward Voldemort.
Voldemort sneered, waved his wand, and a previously unseen powerful green light met the blue flame torrent.
The two forces collided in midair with a boom, erupting in blinding white light.
The stone tiles under Voldemort's feet cracked inch by inch, yet he did not retreat a step.
The Elder Wand's power made him feel unprecedentedly strong.
Even Grindelwald, who had previously been somewhat troublesome for him, is now no more than a big grasshopper.
Just as his Killing Curse was about to overwhelm Grindelwald's face, Dumbledore finally acted.
He took out his former wand, the one he had before seizing the Elder Wand.
It had accompanied him in defeating Grindelwald, who once wielded the Elder Wand.
He lightly tapped the tip, and a scarlet magic spell shot swiftly at Voldemort.
Voldemort narrowed his eyes, immediately abandoned suppressing Grindelwald, and with a backhand precisely deflected the incoming spell.
Then, leveraging the momentum, he swung his wand, and a Fierce Fire snake larger than Grindelwald's blue-flame fire dragon rose from the ground.
The fire snake hissed as it coiled and rose, covering the sky.
Everyone was forced to retreat repeatedly by this might.
"Harry, fall back!"
Dumbledore did not retreat; instead, without looking back, he shouted at Harry and then raised his wand.
"Gellert, if you don't want to die, first join forces with me to defeat Voldemort!"
Dumbledore, in a dignified manner, shouted at Grindelwald.
"Albus, you still love giving orders as ever."
He likewise waved his wand; blue flame rose again, twining around the two of them.
Dumbledore's lava fire also rose.
Two streams of fierce fire intertwined, meeting in midair.
They imitated John's Golden Flame magic, condensing all flames into a sphere.
As Voldemort waved his wand, a sky-covering fire snake swooped down at the two.
And the fierce fire ball they condensed roared upward.
At the instant the fire ball and fire snake collided, time seemed to freeze.
A silent circular shockwave exploded, blast wave flung stones and broken branches, the entire Hogwarts Tower trembled violently, windows shattered, the spire shed dust.
A small mushroom cloud rose, gray-white smoke and dust wrapped scorching air currents, surging upward.
The teachers and students hiding within Hogwarts' protection held their breath and looked up; only seeing the smoke dissipate, Dumbledore and Grindelwald stood side by side, robes fluttering.
Voldemort was protected by a mercury-like barrier, his expression grim as he looked at Dumbledore and Grindelwald.
He who possessed the Elder Wand, in one-on-one combat was not inferior to either of them.
But once they joined forces, even possessing the Elder Wand, he could hardly withstand.
Voldemort suddenly snorted coldly, then spoke.
"Dumbledore, you might not know."
"Your good student John is now in my hands."
Upon hearing, Dumbledore was first startled.
Then he turned his head toward the direction of the castle.
There was no sign of John there.
Voldemort's mouth curled a hint of cold arc.
"For his safety, I suggest you think carefully whether to continue opposing me."
Dumbledore looked at Voldemort, rarely showing an angry expression.
"Voldemort......!"
"I will never compromise! John, he... when he embarked on this path, he already understood his mission."
"As long as we defeat you, his sacrifice will not be in vain!"
Voldemort gave a grim smile.
"Oh really? Then wait to collect his corpse!"
After saying that, Voldemort fiercely waved the Elder Wand.
Another Fierce Fire rushed at the two.
Dumbledore and Grindelwald simultaneously shattered the Fierce Fire, then when they looked again at Voldemort.
He had already vanished.
"Oh no, he ran away."
Dumbledore glanced around worriedly.
However, Grindelwald said indifferently.
"It's fine, we've dragged this out so long; over there it should be done by now."
"Hmm, hopefully."
Dumbledore also nodded.
He no longer showed the earlier anger, as if John's safety didn't matter at all.
