Chapter 220: Concert 2

~4 min read 708 words

Xiang Fei winked at Karen Mok, "Just kidding, don't take it so seriously~"

Karen Mok pretended to be angry and glared at him, "You use me as a shield every time!"

Xiang Fei laughed and raised his hands in surrender, "Alright, alright, let's start singing. Look, the audience is getting impatient."

Suddenly, a loud shout came from below the stage, "We're not impatient!"

The entire venue instantly burst into laughter, even Karen Mok couldn't hold back her smile. Xiang Fei pointed toward the source of the sound, "This friend, you have a bright future!"

The music started, and the two sang "Everything Is Because You Are So Beautiful" together. Their sweet interaction kept heating up the atmosphere. When they reached the chorus, Xiang Fei deliberately leaned close to Karen Mok, pretending to kiss her, which scared her into laughing and dodging away, while screams from the audience rose one after another.

After the song ended, Karen Mok waved and exited the stage, but the audience below shouted in unison, "Karen Mok! Karen Mok!"

Xiang Fei stood in the center of the stage with hands on hips, wearing a "hurt" expression, "Wow, you've switched affections too quickly!" He deliberately pointed at several male audience members in the front row shouting the loudest, "Especially certain gentlemen, forgetting friends for beauty!"

Immediately, a wave of jeering laughter and whistles erupted from below.

Xiang Fei shook his head and pretended to sigh, "Fine, since you like Karen Mok so much..." He gave a mischievous smile, "Then I'll have to gift you a song, 'Forget Love Water', hope you like it~"

The intro to "Forget Love Water" began, and Xiang Fei, abandoning his earlier playful grin, sang with deep emotion:

"Ah~ Give me a cup of Forget Love Water~ To exchange for a night without tears~"

Eighty thousand audience members spontaneously turned on their phone flashlights, turning the entire Hong Kong Coliseum into a sea of stars. When reaching the climax, Xiang Fei turned the microphone toward the audience, and the wave of the entire venue singing together was heart-stopping.

As the song ended, applause thundered. Xiang Fei wiped his sweat, giving the audience no chance to catch their breath, as the piano intro to "Time of Awakening" immediately followed.

"You say you loved someone you shouldn't have loved~ Your heart is full of scars~"

He sang with such immersion that he didn't even notice fine beads of sweat had formed on his forehead. After finishing, he took a long breath and smiled, "Everyone, the next one is a very handsome guy, you will definitely like him!"

Suddenly, a broken Chinese sentence came from below, "Handsome as you?"

Xiang Fei raised an eyebrow and looked toward the source of the sound—it was a foreign audience member with blonde hair and blue eyes. He smiled and replied, "Just come and see, won't you know? Please welcome—**Li Keqin**!"

Li Keqin appeared wearing a slim-fit suit, and the audience instantly erupted. Taking the microphone, his first words were a complaint, "Xiang Dao, that's not fair! If you say I have talent, the audience might believe it, but if you say I'm handsome..." He deliberately paused, "I guess the audience won't believe it."

Unexpectedly, the audience below shouted in unison, "Handsome!"

Xiang Fei proudly patted Li Keqin's shoulder, "See? The eyes of the masses are sharp!"

Li Keqin shook his head and smiled bitterly, "You guys are too flattering."

When the two sang "Half-Moon Serenade," Li Keqin's professional operatic vocal style and Xiang Fei's pop singing method merged wonderfully. When reaching the high notes, Xiang Fei was clearly struggling, and Li Keqin quietly provided backing vocals; this small move was captured by the big screen, triggering a wave of good-natured laughter.

After the song ended, Li Keqin returned backstage.

"Don't laugh, don't laugh," Xiang Fei pretended to be serious, "He is a professional singer, and I haven't sung in such a long time, give me some face, okay?"

Immediately, encouraging applause rose from below.

Meanwhile, backstage, Anita Mui was reading the palm lines for Leslie Cheung, "Your love line here..."

Jackie Chan leaned in, "What about me? What about me?"

Anita Mui glanced at him, "You? Your career line is good, but you tend to sing off-key."
