Chapter 112: Where Are You Going?

Yehua did not speak; instead, a Night Watchman standing behind him stepped forward voluntarily and took a pale blue, translucent orb from his bosom.

This orb looked somewhat similar to the crystal balls found in various film and television works, specifically used for testing aptitude or for divination.

"Drip your blood onto it; it is normal if there is no reaction," the Night Watchman explained to Yun Mu.

No, are you people for real! What would happen if her identity as a Bloodline were detected? Yun Mu hesitated, not quite sure what the people from the Church wanted to do.

"No need to be nervous, this is just a routine check," Yehua seemed to see through her hesitation and reassured her: "Even if you are infected, the Church has the ability to excise the infection."

Really? I don't believe it.

Yun Mu muttered in her heart.

Unless the Lady of the Dark Night acts personally, the Church's temple officials and priests absolutely do not have the ability to Purify the Scarlet Curse.

But the probability of the Lady of the Dark Night acting personally just for her alone is probably not as high as the probability of her waking up after a sleep and traveling back to Earth.

Huh? Actually, that's not necessarily true. Didn't she speculate earlier that the gods might be able to see through her identity as a Chuanzhezhe? Perhaps the Lady of the Dark Night felt she was special and helped her remove the Scarlet Curse on her body... "Ahem."

Seeing that she had not taken action, the Night Watchman standing in front of her gave a light cough, pulling Yun Mu's thoughts back to reality.

"Then I'll just test it."

Coming back to her senses, Yun Mu said.

Prepared to run at any moment, she observed her surroundings while planning her escape method and route in her heart.

At the same time, she took a Standard Short Dagger from her bosom and used it to gently cut her fingertip.

She did not use the small knife the Night Watchman had prepared in advance.

After all, the other party was clearly prepared, and the possibility of them tampering with the small knife was not zero.

Although she had the Legendary Necklace given to her by Brenna for protection, theoretically, no poison or anesthetic should be able to take effect on her.

But it was still necessary to maintain this state of vigilance.

As the bright red blood flowed from her fingertip, Yun Mu quickly covered her finger.

To prevent the other party from seeing the scene of the wound healing rapidly.

However, no one was paying attention to her finger at this moment; everyone's gaze was focused on the pale blue orb that had absorbed the blood.

The surface of the orb emitted a pale blue light, and then, a streak of piercing Scarlet spread from the center with rapid speed! Run! Without hesitation, the moment a small dot of Scarlet color appeared in the orb, Yun Mu lifted her legs and ran toward the pre-set direction.

The intersection she chose was the one with the most guards; logically speaking, any normal person would not choose to break through from here.

But she thought again, why were there more people here, while other intersections only had one or two?

Either this side was more convenient for her to escape, or the people guarding this intersection were all weaklings!

Her current speed was 17 points, counting the equipment bonus, it was a full 23 points, plus the 10% from the Swift Feet trait.

With just one sprint, she left the two Night Walkers behind Yehua far in the distance.

And when she arrived in front of the eight Church professionals blocking the intersection, Yun Mu immediately used her Spirituality to activate the magic runes inside the Concealment Cloak.

Shadow Assault!

Her figure instantly escaped into the Shadow Realm, and after using the shadows of these Church professionals as a springboard, she sprinted out of the Shadow Realm, easily breaking through the Church professionals' blockade.

"Heh, is that it?"

With a disdainful chuckle, Yun Mu turned and ducked into a small alley, then lifted the sewer manhole cover on the ground.

However, she did not climb into it, but quickly used the Invisibility rune of the Concealment Cloak to hide beside a trash can in the alley.

After only a few seconds, hurried footsteps sounded from outside the alley, and those Church professionals arrived in the alley one after another, looking at the opened sewer manhole cover. "Night Walkers, continue the pursuit; Night Watchmen, come with me to report to Zhuyiao Daren," Yehua said with an ugly expression.

After he finished speaking, those Church Transcendents who had previously blocked the various intersections climbed down the ladder into the depths of the sewer one after another.

"Careless. I didn't expect the target to already be an Elite-tier Transcendent, and that speed, plus the skill to escape into the Shadow Realm... Isn't she from the Painter series?"

Yehua looked puzzled.

He had thought that this operation, bringing two Second-tier Night Watchmen and over a dozen First-tier Night Walkers, was a sure thing.

He did not expect the target to not only be a Second-tier Transcendent, but also to be much faster than an ordinary Second-tier Transcendent, and even possess a skill that could escape into the Shadow Realm.

"The only clue has run away just like that..."

Hiding in the dark, Yun Mu could feel the other party's full-blown annoyance just by looking at Yehua's expression.

Looking at this posture, could it be that the Church's Transcendents were really seriously investigating Natavia's matter? Or was this Yehua one of the people Brenna mentioned who did not know there was a traitor in the Church?

Thinking carefully, Brenna had said that most people in the Church should not know that someone had betrayed the faith.

Those who betrayed the faith should be the higher-ups of the Church... The information she knew was still too little. If she could kidnap this priest in front of her—looking at the priest who was clearly a spellcaster, and the two Night Walkers beside him, dangerous light flowed in Yun Mu's eyes.

With a thought, she opened Lucy's character panel.

【Advanced (Apprentice——Elite)】 【Upgrade: 【800 Gold Coin】】 "It's time for an upgrade."

PS: I originally wanted to say that I thought of a new summary.

But I feel that there is a setting in this chapter worth mentioning.

Let's leave the matter of the new introduction for the next chapter.

——Regarding the Supernatural powers of the Dark Night Church.

First is the Supernatural path they master, starting from the First Rank 【Night Walker】, to the Second Rank 【Night Watchman】, then to the Third Rank 【Back-Lighted One】 and the Fourth Rank 【Faceless One】.

This is a profession that is stronger the dimmer the light is at night.

High-rank Transcendentals can even twist the daylight of an area for a short period of time.

As for the Supernatural powers of clergy members such as priests, nuns, pastors, and divine officials, they involve another setting of mine, which I will stop mentioning for today.
