Chapter 128: Just a Vampire
Sai Yina, who had undergone a full examination, had already shed her trench coat and leather pants outfit, and was changed into an orange prison uniform without any numbers.
Under the lights, her skin looked even more deathly pale, and her pupils were an eerie sapphire blue.
If she were given proper makeup and wore colored contacts, there would be no way to tell from her appearance that she differed from a human woman.
"Beep!" At that moment, a piercing alert suddenly sounded.
"Swish!" The metal gate of the interrogation room opened.
"Thud–thud."
Afterward, the sound of high heels stepping on the floor, transmitted from outside to inside, reached Sai Yina's ears.
It looked forward.
It then saw Alekxia, with a gold single ponytail, wearing a white lab coat and slim-fit jeans, walk into the interrogation room and sit down before it.
"Swish!" The gate behind Alekxia closed.
The interrogation room fell into a silence, with both sides sizing each other up.
"You're not the leader of Umbrella." Sai Yina spoke first.
"Of course not. Have you ever seen the boss of a mega‑corp dress like this?"
Alekxia said, tugging at the hem of her white lab coat with her right hand.
Although her expression and tone were self‑mocking, her eyes openly revealed contempt, looking at Sai Yina as if she were an idiot.
Despite sensing Alekxia's disdain, Sai Yina held back her anger and did not lash out, continuing in the same tone:
"Only after seeing your leader will I"
"You're not qualified." At that moment, Alekxia reined in her earlier teasing and interrupted Sai Yina's words:
"My name is Alekxia Ruixike, I am a senior researcher at Umbrella, especially skilled in biology and chemistry.
My appearance means that your species will soon have no secrets left."
Having said that, Alekxia raised her right hand and then used her forefinger's nail to cut her thumb.
With a "snap!" she flicked her fingers.
And a ball of flame, as if conjured from nowhere, appeared in Alekxia's right hand.
"What exactly are you?" At this, Sai Yina's composure faltered.
"I am a human, a scientist, a doctor, a teacher."
Alekxia gave her hand a slight shake, dispelling the flame as she gave the above answer, then she revealed a smile that looked blatantly fake.
"Normally, I prefer to use scientific means to obtain the memories of other species.
Three days.
I only need three days to finish my research on you vampires, and then I will obtain everything you and your subordinates know.
Having said that, Alekxia paused, carefully observed Sai Yina's micro‑expressions, and then continued:
"If time is pressing, I don't mind revealing my other side and forcibly extracting everything in your brain—well, it's just a bit nauseating."
Having said that, Alekxia made an expression as if she were slightly disgusted with herself.
"." Sai Yina fell into a dilemma.
It could not tell whether Alekxia's displayed ease and relaxation were genuine or feigned.
If it were feigned, there would still be a chance to secure a sliver of benefit for its clan, but if it were genuine.
"Ink trace."
Alekxia, losing patience, rose to her feet and stared at Sai Yina as if looking at a corpse.
"You" Sai Yina felt a chill under that gaze.
Although as a vampire it had no body heat, it still felt a chill like being in an ice cellar.
"Boom—!"
Suddenly!
Flames engulfed Alekxia's body.
The elastic holding her ponytail snapped instantly, and her loose gold hair flew about wildly.
Her lab coat, jeans, and other clothing turned to ash in the intense heat.
However, the black tight‑fit short‑sleeve shirt and shorts beneath her outer garments, seemingly made of heat‑resistant material, did not dissipate in the flames.
Soon, her fair, delicate skin was covered by a layer of rough gray substance, and her right arm and left leg grew bone‑like armor.
Gray‑white waist‑length hair replaced her previous gorgeous gold locks, the swirling flames vanished quickly, as if her transformation were complete.
This is the true form of the Flame Queen.
?!!!!
Sai Yina could no longer remain composed; her eyes filled with fear, her body strained in struggle, but she could not break free from the metal chair's restraints.
"What are you?! What exactly are you?! No! Don't come near me!"
Seeing Alekxia, radiating a strong aura, approach, Sai Yina's struggles intensified, and she couldn't help but let out a terrified roar.
"Human—."
Alekxia, with an echoing voice, once again declared her human identity.
Moreover, she had arrived at Sai Yina's left side.
She slightly raised her right hand, turning her palm toward Sai Yina.
"Whoosh! Whoosh!"
In an instant, several slender tentacles stabbed out from her right palm.
"Pfft! Pfft!"
The tentacles, like spikes, easily pierced the skull and entered Sai Yina's cranial cavity.
"Don't. Damn."
Seina's expression shifted from painful snarling to sudden bewilderment, and finally her eyes, completely devoid of light, rolled upward.
It was unknown whether she was dead or alive.
After a few seconds.
Alekxia retracted her tentacles, and the flames again enveloped her body, restoring her to human form.
"Tsk, you're the truly disgusting one."
Having ended her queen form, Alekxia offered a contemptuous remark, as if she had seen a memory image that she found extremely repulsive.
At this moment, in the observation room beside the interrogation chamber.
"Father, has Dr. Ruishike always been this brutal?"
Robert, now dressed in a black military uniform, after witnessing everything that had just occurred through the one-way window, asked with a shocked face.
John, standing beside Robert, and eight other brothers were equally astonished.
Their OriginalBodies knew that Alekxia was different from ordinary people, but they could never have imagined that the doctor who usually patiently taught them knowledge could be so brutal.
Sui Bian, surrounded by a group of OriginalBodies, didn't seem to feel anything.
Alekxia can control all beings infected with the Veronica virus; their consciousness, thoughts, and memories belong to her.
If one were to inject the virus directly into vampires by conventional means, there would be a chance that, given their superior physiques compared to humans, they might not be successfully infected.
But when Alekxia acts directly, the situation changes.
"Probably." Sui Bian, hearing the question, shrugged and said.
"It's over. Dr. Ruishike's kindly image in my mind has collapsed. It's gone," one OriginalBody lamented.
"Hmm." The other brothers all nodded.
Actually
Alekxia chose to violently extract Seina's memories only after receiving Sui Bian's hint and tacit consent.
The brutal one should be him.
From the moment Seina dared to use the information she knew to negotiate for benefits, Sui Bian never intended for her to survive.
Mere vampires have no right to negotiate with him, with humans, or with Umbrella.
