Chapter 19: Come quickly! There's a shameful mutant here!
Zhou Yun looked up and down at this hazy figure who called himself "Sanguinius."
It was a figure with wings like a white dove, at least four meters tall, and glowing all over, releasing Warp power.
Severe height abnormality, scales and feathers or animal fur growing on the skin, glowing skin, two appendages, beast-like features, causing local Warp anomalies...
Noticing Zhou Yun's gaze, the winged figure in the white light couldn't help but laugh out loud:
"You're using this standard to examine me?"
Oh, and questioning the necessity of the mutation degree... three moderate mutations, two severe mutations, and two extreme mutations.
A total score of 129 points.
Purifiers, come quickly! There's a blasphemous, shameful mutant here! Zhou Yun secretly complained in his heart.
"Do you want to use this standard to examine the one on the Throne?"
The winged figure in the white light couldn't help but shake his head and say:
"According to this standard of the Administratum, both my father and I would be considered extreme mutants, with a score of at least fifty points."
"Oh, I'm afraid that apart from Guilliman and a few others, not many of my Primarch brothers could escape."
Listening to the joke of the winged figure in the white light, Zhou Yun smiled and nodded in agreement:
"According to the Administratum's standard, the Emperor and quite a few Primarchs would all have to lean against the nearest wall, put their hands behind their backs, and shout loudly: 'I am a shameful mutant!' 'I am a shameful mutant!' while waiting for the purifiers to perform efficient incineration."
Listening to Zhou Yun's words, the winged figure in the white light couldn't help but laugh softly: "If I said this to an Inquisitor or an Ecclesiarchy priest, what do you think would happen?"
"Then I'm afraid I'd be up for a white phosphorus pyre," Zhou Yun shrugged.
He glanced into the Corpse Guild.
After Morgott and Margit entered the guild, a kind of corrupt smell seemed to rise faintly within, looking cold and terrifying.
"Are you going in?" the winged figure in the white light asked, vibrating his wings slightly.
Zhou Yun shook his head; he reached his hand toward the Fourth-Dimensional Pocket on his stomach...
Morgott and Margit walked along the corridor of the Corpse Guild.
The dark corridor was covered with thick moss and rotting fungal colonies, and the mushrooms growing in the crevices squirmed like lumps of meat.
And among the moss lay rotting corpses that had not yet dissipated; they stared with pale eyes, their gazes moving with the two men's footsteps.
Morgott and Margit chanted the seven-fold incantation.
The aura on them and this incantation made the corpses believe they were companions.
If anyone else had walked into this corridor, they would likely have been torn to pieces instantly, dying to become nutrients for the moss and fungi.
"Brother, ahead is the office of the branch director of the Corpse Guild."
Morgott stopped in front of a thick, magnificently decorated gate.
The gate was carved with layers of skull patterns, symbolizing human purity.
But among those skulls grew layers of rotting, squirming, colorful fungal colonies, as if hinting at the corruption of purity.
Margit nodded slightly and pushed open the gate...
Behind the gate was a spacious office.
The walls were full of various magnificent carvings depicting the pale business of the Corpse Guild recycling corpses.
One wall had been modified to embed a person-sized plasteel safe, which seemed to have a low-power stasis field deployed inside.
Margit guessed that the ancient artifact they were looking for might be in the safe.
But he quickly retracted this guess,
because under the filthy window was a wide desk, and a woman in a pale, secretive dress was lying in a comfortable office chair with her eyes tightly closed.
She wore a long dress as pale as death itself, a bodice carved with corpse symbols, and her face was covered by a white veil hanging down from a golden crown.
But even through the veil, Margit could still see her sickly appearance.
Pale and bloodless, covered with various spots and pus-filled sores, saliva drooled from the corners of her mouth, and dry, blue veins that seemed to have no blood flowing through them covered her face like withered vines.
She seemed to be riddled with a hundred diseases.
And in her hand, she held a rusted, twisted, rotting triangular dagger; from the rotting, decaying metal blade, flesh-like tissues were exposed, and those flesh tissues were rotting and moving...
That was a weapon injected with plague, carrying the power of corruption, forged in that lush garden where only decay and rebirth existed...
This was what Morgott and Margit were seeking this time.
Margit walked cautiously to the side of the pale woman with closed eyes and reached out toward the triangular blade in her hand——————
Sizzle!!!
The triangular blade broke through the air, bringing out a rotting stench; Margit hurriedly retreated, only then avoiding being cut by the rotting blade.
"No!!!" A sharp, ear-piercing sound came from her rotting vocal cords.
The pale woman moved her stiff body, stood up from the chair bit by bit, and opened those tightly closed eyes.
Those eyes were like those of the deceased, pale and dim, yet one could faintly feel the madness surging within them.
Margit hurriedly chanted the seven-fold incantation.
"No!!!!"
The only response to Margit was a roar full of madness.
Beside Margit sounded the "Angel's" joyful voice.
That voice told him that the ritual back then had failed because of the Viceroy's bombardment.
The out-of-control, roaring Warp power was not only injected into that triangular blade, but part of it had also overflowed into her body, causing her to fall completely into madness and loss of control.
Margit hurriedly dodged the triangular blade swung by the pale woman; the squirming flesh on the blade made him sense danger.
"Blech!!!" Margit spat a stream of rotting digestive fluid from his mouth, splashing it onto the pale woman.
The dress on her body was instantly corroded with holes, and white smoke rose from her flesh; between the rotting flesh, ghastly white bones were exposed.
However, the woman's movements were not affected at all; instead, she became even more frantic.
Margit sensed a terrifying ferocity from the blade in her hand.
Morgott slashed his wrist, and his toxic, corrosive blood splashed toward the pale woman.
However, the pale woman jumped aside, and the triangular blade in her hand stabbed toward Morgott's throat.
That unparalleled reaction speed had already transcended nature; Morgott only saw the rotting blade turn into a sharp insect stinger in the air, shooting toward his throat.
Sizzle!!!!
A beam of scorching light pierced through the office window, melted the glass, and shot onto one of the pale woman's legs.
A short, small explosion rose at the point of impact of the light, and the scorching flames instantly melted half of the woman's leg.
"Lasgun?" Margit exclaimed.
Morgott's reaction was faster; he dodged the blade stabbing at his throat and looked out the window with surprise, shouting: "Leman Russ?!"
But before his joy could finish, several more lasers shot in from afar, landing in different places of the Corpse Guild.
One of them grazed Morgott's cheek, setting off a small explosion behind him.
Morgott was dumbfounded.
"Why the hell are you shooting at me too?!"
