Chapter 417: Ahriman: You Think You're Worthy?
In the dim interrogation room, only a plain, powerless chandelier swayed gently,
but Zhou Yun felt that whether the light was on or not didn't really matter.
Zhou Yun reached out a hand to slightly block the white light continuously emanating from beside him,
Saint Guilliman naturally carried a halo of psychic radiance; this glow wasn't conspicuous in a natural environment, but in this dim room, it appeared exceptionally glaring.
"I remember there's a 'luminous epidermis' entry in the mutant screening form." Zhou Yun said softly to Els beside him.
But this whispering didn't mean much; in the entire room, apart from Els, everyone had hearing far beyond that of ordinary humans.
A hint of bewilderment colored Kayan expression, as if he hadn't figured out why Zhou Yun suddenly said something like that.
"Huh?" Els parted her lips slightly, looking at Zhou Yun in astonishment.
Saint Guilliman's expression shifted slightly; the radiance around him drew in a little, no longer so glaring.
Zhou Yun nodded in satisfaction, then looked toward Kayan sitting opposite him.
Kayan's eyes had been restored by Saint Guilliman, but there was no light in his pupils; his body, with every bone shattered, slumped in the chair like a rotten salted fish.
"What do you want to ask him?" Zhou Yun turned his head to look at Saint Guilliman beside him and inquired.
"I want to know the recent situation of my brothers who betrayed." A smile flashed across Saint Guilliman's lips as he spoke.
Zhou Yun showed a slightly curious expression. The recent situation of those daemon primarchs—Ma Genusi, Angron, Fulgrim, and Mortarion—wasn't really worth asking about; both Saint Guilliman and Zhou Yun knew it clearly,
Who Saint Guilliman truly wanted to know about was Lorgar, Perturabo, and Alpharius/Omegon?
Seeming to sense Zhou Yun's thoughts, Saint Guilliman gave a slight nod, indicating Zhou Yun had guessed correctly.
Hearing Saint Guilliman's words, a faint glimmer appeared in Kayan's eyes.
"Those truly were glorious years of campaigning."
Kayan said with considerable feeling:
"We engaged any force that refused to swear loyalty to Abaddon and tried to prevent the rise of the Black Legion; we ran rampant through the deep spacetime of the Eye of Terror, suppressing the nine legions with absolute superiority and ending the civil war."
"Even the primarchs themselves submitted to Abaddon one after another—some willingly, some under duress; even Mortarion was the same, except Mortarion nearly killed us with his plagues."
"I even used psychic powers to make Ma Genusi kneel before us——————"
"Els, slap him across the face." Zhou Yun said coldly.
Although Els didn't understand the meaning of Zhou Yun's action, she still obeyed Zhou Yun's order and walked up to Kayan,
Slap————
A solid slap landed on Kayan's left cheek.
"Wasn't it you who told me to speak?!" Kayan said angrily.
Zhou Yun waved his hand in disgust, took out a tracking image mirror from his pocket to glance at it, then pulled a pinkish-red wooden door from his pocket,
The Hua Di Huang beside him turned and walked through the wooden door.
A moment later, the wooden door opened again,
Kayan stared blankly as Ahriman and a Word Bearer were tossed out from the wooden door.
"What do you want?" Ahriman wiped the sweat from his forehead with a towel in his hand, glaring at Zhou Yun as he demanded.
He had just been doing leg exercises on the steroid planet when a pinkish-red wooden door suddenly appeared beside him; a man wearing a cowboy hat and draped in a scarf stepped out of the door,
Then before Ahriman could react, a string of pinkish-red rope coiled around his body, dragging him and a Word Bearer here.
"He said he used his psychic powers to make Ma Genusi kneel before himself and Abaddon." Zhou Yun said, pointing at Kayan.
Ahriman looked in the direction Zhou Yun pointed, only then noticing Kayan sitting at the other end of the room.
"You? Make a primarch kneel?" Ahriman looked at Kayan and was immediately amused into laughter.
He strode forward with great steps, walked up to Kayan, and extended his strong, well-trained arm,
Slap——————
Ahriman slapped Kayan across the right cheek:
"With your meager skills, you think you're worthy?"
"If you had that ability, why didn't you make Ji Li Man. Russ kneel back on Prospero?"
Kayan stared at Ahriman with hatred.
"According to the Inquisition's records, Kayan claims they made the daemon primarchs capitulate to Abaddon—even Mortarion was the same, except Mortarion's plagues nearly killed them." Zhou Yun said from the side.
"Abaddon, that lapdog of the four gods, is also worthy of making primarchs capitulate? Most primarchs don't care about his Black Legion at all."
Ahriman said dismissively:
"The primarchs merely gave Abaddon a trivial gift out of respect for the four gods' face; Ma Genusi didn't even meet Abaddon, just gave him a useless divine artifact."
"As for why Mortarion nearly killed them, it's because Mortarion didn't even intend to give the Plague God face; he truly intended to slaughter Abaddon, only to be stopped by the Father."
"Later, Abaddon and Kayan went around boasting that they had made the primarchs submit; at most that could fool newcomers who hadn't experienced the Great Crusade."
"Then what about the daemon primarchs unaffiliated with Chaos?" Zhou Yun nodded slightly and politely inquired: "Did they also give face to the four gods?"
Ahriman was briefly stunned, then shook his head: "I don't know about that."
Then, Ahriman slightly raised his head: "Is this the boring matter you dragged me here for?"
Saying so, Ahriman began to survey his surroundings—this seemed to be Terra; Saint Guilliman was in the corner, that man wearing the cowboy hat, the one who broke Khorne's leg?
Ahriman began searching for a possible breakout.
But to Ahriman's surprise, Zhou Yun suddenly reached out and lightly touched that Word Bearer,
Then
"Where is this place?"
"Ahriman, my lord? Kayan?"
"This is?! Saint Guilliman? What happened?"
The resurrected Thousand Sons warrior looked around in bewilderment.
"This is your reward," Zhou Yun said, pointing at that Thousand Sons warrior.
Aliman's body trembled slightly, then
"Thank you, my lord! My lord, you are truly generous!"
Aliman's attitude changed abruptly; he bowed repeatedly to Zhou Yun:
"If you ever need a consultant, a substitute fighter, or witch services in the future, just find me. I am always available."
"Aliman, your dignity—" Kanyon shouted in anger, but
Boom!!!
Aliman raised the black staff in his hand and slammed a blast of psychic fire heavily onto Kanyon, sending Kanyon flying backward to crash into the wall.
"My lord, is there anything else you need?" Aliman bowed again.
"Have you had any contact with Erebus recently? And Lu Xiusi?" Zhou Yun asked, his gaze shifting slightly.
He recalled the Emperor's previous prophecy: the Penitent, the Jealous, and the Primarch of Evil. The Primarch of Evil was undoubtedly Erebus.
As for the Penitent and the Jealous, Zhou Yun first suspected the Chosen of Tzeentch, Aliman, and the Chosen of Slaanesh, Lu Xiusi.
So whenever he had time or not, he would use the Tracking Image Mirror to see what Aliman was doing.
It turned out that Aliman was, damn it, working out. All day long it was working out, working out, and working out. Zhou Yun was almost sick of watching.
"Me? I have always been working out on the Steroid Planet." Aliman shook his head. "Lu Xiusi and Erebus? I haven't heard what they have been doing recently. I will go back and use divination to see if I can find anything."
"I see." Zhou Yun nodded slightly, signaling that Aliman could take the resurrected Thousand Sons warrior and leave through the Anywhere Door.
But Aliman did not leave. He turned his head to look at Kanyon lying on the ground.
Then Aliman suddenly reached out his hand. A surge of intense psychic energy pierced into the flesh and blood between Kanyon's cells like needles.
Ignoring Kanyon's wails, he gave his hand a slight pull.
Rrrrip——————
Kanyon's flesh and blood churned. Sheets of papyrus cards were separated from his body, each card depicting a different demon.
"These are Kanyon's Demon Tarot cards. Each one binds a powerful demon, even a Great Unclean One."
Aliman said calmly:
"He decomposed these Tarot cards into a molecular state and hid them within his own flesh and blood, so you did not discover them."
"But this cannot fool me, because I invented this spell."
Speaking thus, Aliman lightly snapped his fingers. Intense psychic power surged into the stack of Tarot cards, and Kanyon let out a wail.
"I have already severed the connection between these demons and Kanyon. You only need to inject a tiny bit of your own power to turn these demons into your servants."
"You also need not worry about the Four Gods doing anything. Your power is so great that even the Four Gods would find it difficult to reclaim the demons corrupted by you."
Aliman elegantly and politely handed the stack of Tarot cards to Zhou Yun.
"This is a gift for you. I only ask that next time you have such a need, you remember me."
Zhou Yun took the Tarot cards and couldn't help but praise Aliman's service attitude.
Els looked with some worry at Aliman leaving through the Anywhere Door.
"My lord, do we really not need to arrest him? That is Aliman," she asked.
"Unless I, Sanguinius, Guilliman, Fatty the Great Unclean One, or Huang Daxiong Wild Pi are here watching, you absolutely cannot trap Aliman."
Zhou Yun shrugged and said:
"Besides, is there any need to arrest him now? As long as I can resurrect the Red Letter for him, Aliman will rush over at any time."
Els bowed respectfully and said no more.
Kanyon struggled painfully to get up from the ground. Zhou Yun signaled Els with his eyes to help him up.
Els walked to Kanyon's side and carried the broken-bodied Kanyon back to sit on the chair. Aliman's spell was so exquisite that it only harmed Kanyon and did not damage anything else, including the chair.
"What about Perturabo, Lorgar, and Alpharius/Omegon? How did you get them willing to provide help?" Zhou Yun asked, looking at Kanyon.
"Alpharius is still alive? What is Omegon?" Kanyon asked, somewhat bewildered.
But he still answered Zhou Yun's question. He raised his head slightly and said with pride: "The Warmaster possesses the Daemon Sword Drach'nyen. Even Primarchs are human and must fear the radiance of that Daemon Sword."
"Els, slap him in the face again," Zhou Yun said coldly.
