Chapter 94: The Great Saints of the Demon Clan Gather in Brotherhood, the Demons of Huaguo Mountain Run Wild
Su Chen, feeling the explosive power within his body, was utterly satisfied.
After being tempered by the primordial forces of Yin and Yang, and having undergone three consecutive rounds of Star Calamity Qi refinement, his physical strength had reached an unimaginable level.
Though his realm was still Xuan Immortal, he had confidence that with this body and his Xuan Immortal cultivation base, he could match wits with an ordinary Jin Xian.
“It’s time to return.”
Su Chen put away the Opening Dao Axe, confirmed the direction, and shot off like a streak of light toward the Water Curtain Cave.
During his seclusion, he didn’t know how Sun Wukong had managed Huaguo Mountain.
According to his earlier instructions, Sun Wukong should have already invited the other Great Saints to discuss a grand plan against the Heavenly Court.
Yet, the closer he got to the Water Curtain Cave, the tighter his frown became.
He saw none of the disciplined troop drills or solemn aura he had imagined.
The air across Huaguo Mountain was thick with chaotic, polluted demonic energy.
Noises—shouting, roaring, fighting—never ceased, giving the impression of a lawless marketplace.
When Su Chen landed before the Water Curtain Cave, the sight before him made him think he’d mistaken the place.
On the slope before the cave, demons lay sprawled everywhere, toppled and disheveled.
Some brawled together, faces red and veins bulging; others drank, with drunken lesser demons throwing tantrums; the whole place reeked of filth and litter.
The monkeys who once played joyfully in the mountain streams were now nowhere to be seen.
Where was the sacred, spirit-filled paradise it had been?
It was nothing but a massive demonic trash heap!
Su Chen’s face darkened instantly.
He strode through the chaotic courtyard and entered the Water Curtain Cave.
Inside, the scene was no better than outside.
The ground was littered with fruit pits, bones, and empty wine jars.
Groups of varied demon kings sat shoulder to shoulder, rolling dice, drinking, and utterly drunk.
Sun Wukong was surrounded by demon kings, his face flushed, clearly drunk himself.
Beside his main seat sat several figures radiating exceptionally powerful auras.
The foremost was a burly figure with twin horns—Great Saint Ping Tian, the Ox Demon King.
Next to him sat Jiao Wang, clad in blue battle armor with a cold, sinister face; Shi Tuo Wang, tall and ferocious; a lean monkey—Mi Hou Wang; and a narrow-faced, pointed-muzzled demon—Yu Rong Wang.
These five were the very brothers Sun Wukong had sworn oaths with.
Now, unlike the other demon kings, they weren’t passed out drunk—but each sipped wine, watching the chaos in the cave with amusement.
“Great Saint, have another bowl!” A bear-headed demon king raised a bowl as large as a tub, offering wine to Sun Wukong.
At that moment, a wolf demon and a wild boar demon fought over a piece of roasted meat, knocking over a stone table and spilling fruits and dishes everywhere.
“Enough!” Sun Wukong, seeing this, flew into a rage, slammed his fist on the table, and stood up.
His shout, infused with the pressure of a Taiyi Jin Xian, instantly silenced the entire Water Curtain Cave.
All the demon kings froze, blinking drunkenly at him.
“Are you trying to tear apart my home?” Sun Wukong pointed at the two fighting demons, furious. “Look what you’ve turned this place into!”
The wolf demon and wild boar demon, sobered by his roar, immediately begged for mercy.
“Great Saint, please calm down—we dare not do it again.”
The Ox Demon King spoke up, his voice deep and resonant: “Seventh brother, why bother with these minor demons? They’re wild folk, ignorant of etiquette—that’s natural. They came here out of admiration for you, to lend you strength. You can’t drive away your guests.”
“But, Elder Brother, they—” Sun Wukong tried to speak.
“Enough, enough,” the Ox Demon King waved him off. “Sit down, seventh brother. Let’s keep drinking.”
Sun Wukong opened his mouth, saw the Ox Demon King’s indifference, glanced at the surrounding demon kings, and finally sighed, slumping back into his seat.
He felt utterly humiliated as the Great Sage Equaling Heaven.
These so-called followers nominally came to join him, but in truth, they ignored his orders entirely, treating Huaguo Mountain like their own home, doing as they pleased.
He wanted to discipline them, but his elder brothers, especially the Ox Demon King, always called him overreacting, urging him not to spoil the harmony.
He was caught between a rock and a hard place.
Su Chen stood at the cave entrance, watching it all, and sighed inwardly.
He knew Sun Wukong valued loyalty and emotion—but that very loyalty now bound his hands, leaving him powerless against this rabble.
“Brother Monkey.” Su Chen called out, his voice echoing through the entire Water Curtain Cave.
Sun Wukong, distracted and frustrated, heard the familiar voice, looked up—and when he saw Su Chen standing at the entrance, his face finally broke into a smile.
“Little brother!”
Sun Wukong dashed forward, grabbing Su Chen by the arm.
“You’re finally back! If you didn’t come, this place would’ve been turned upside down by these bastards!” he whispered urgently to Su Chen.
Su Chen’s arrival drew the attention of the Ox Demon King and the others.
All of them turned to look.
The ordinary demon kings, seeing a human who called the Great Sage Equaling Heaven “brother,” were deeply curious.
But the demon kings of Huaguo Mountain’s Seventy-Two Caves, who already knew Su Chen, explained his background to the newcomers.
Meanwhile, the five brothers seated together—Ox Demon King and the rest—watched Su Chen with keen interest.
Even the weakest among them, Yu Rong Wang, had reached Jin Xian’s peak realm.
They sensed that this seemingly refined human youth, though only an Xuan Immortal, carried within him a terrifying power.
“Seventh brother, who is this?” the Ox Demon King rose and asked Su Chen in a low tone.
Sun Wukong pulled Su Chen forward and introduced him: “Elder Brother, and all my brothers—let me introduce you. This is my good brother, Su Chen—the one I’ve told you about!”
“It was all thanks to my little brother’s strategy that we outwitted the Heavenly Court!”
Upon hearing Sun Wukong’s introduction, the faces of the Ox Demon King and the others lit up with sudden understanding.
They had heard from Sun Wukong that he had a brilliant brother behind the scenes—the mastermind who had turned the Heavenly Court’s reputation to ash after their rebellion.
Now that they saw him, they confirmed: his bearing was truly extraordinary.
Especially the formidable aura radiating from him—he was no ordinary Xuan Immortal.
