Chapter 202: The True Fire God Temple, Never Before Trod

Jiang Chen sprinted through the Garden, delving into the deepest part of the Instance.

As he went deeper, the temperature rose gradually, and the air grew increasingly scorching.

He muttered to himself, "This Hell Difficulty is truly extraordinary."

"Nightmare Difficulty already requires double support, while Hell Difficulty needs at least four to five supports."

"A normal team can't even think about attempting it."

This is a Level‑32 Hell Difficulty Instance that permits a twelve‑person party with a maximum level of 37 to enter.

However, even with special gear, the challenge is extremely hard for four Support Class members.

The difficulty of this Instance far exceeds any Instance Jiang Chen has faced before.

The continuous Flame Burn attacks give every class a pounding headache.

Jiang Chen finally reached the deepest part of the Instance.

After more than three hours of fierce fighting, his Skeleton Mages were nearly at their limit.

"We must finish this battle within ten minutes!"

Jiang Chen calculated the time; if he doesn't want the Skeleton Mages to die here from exhaustion, the fight must end within ten minutes.

In the deepest part of the Instance, he saw a massive lava waterfall.

Here, a Flame Giant Eye hung high at the summit.

This is the Flame Giant Eye that once appeared outside the palace.

It flew in from outside the palace and landed at the top of the waterfall.

The entire lava waterfall roared, Giant Stones tumbled, the cascade broke, and the High Mountain reshaped itself.

Before Jiang Chen, the High Mountain seemed to become a giant, with the Flame Giant Eye as its eye.

It is a massive one‑eyed giant made of hard rock, over twenty meters tall, with lava surging over its body.

"Lava

Giant (Hell-level Chief)"

"Elemental Archmage (Hell Dungeon Boss)"

"Level: 38"

"Strength: 25000"

"Agility: 10000"

"Spirit: 10000"

"Constitution: 25000"

"Skills: Death Line, Lava Jet, Volcanic Eruption"

"Traits: Immunity to fire element attacks, massive fire element amplification"

A Level‑38 Hell-level Chief with total stats reaching 70,000, comparable to the Level‑39 Elemental Archmage in Battlefield No. 3.

Strength and Constitution already surpass those of the Skeleton Warrior.

Hell Chief!

Jiang Chen felt a slight difference.

He had thought the final boss of the Fire God Palace should be a monster called Fire God.

He didn't expect it to be a Lava Giant.

Moreover, the Fire God Key and Fire God Flower he just obtained seemed to have no use.

Jiang Chen sensed that things weren't that simple.

But this Instance had already reached its end; he was certain there was no path ahead.

He keenly caught the information about the Fire God Key.

"Fire God Key: the key to opening the true Fire God Temple"

That means the Fire God Palace and the Fire God Temple are not the same Instance.

One could say the Fire God Palace is merely a prerequisite Instance for the Fire God Temple.

Some Instances have prerequisite quests; only after completing them can one enter the Instance.

It seems the true Fire God Temple works the same way.

The Instance before him, named Fire God Palace, is merely a pre‑Instance of the true Fire God Temple.

In the blink of an eye, Jiang Chen understood.

The Lava Giant let out a Roar, and the massive one‑eyed giant instantly fired a line of fire.

Skill: Death Line!

Fire line speed was unbelievably swift; Jiang Chen couldn't keep up

His reaction was already struck.

With a bang, the Bone Armor glittered and then emitted a cracking sound.

Jiang Chen hurriedly added another layer of Bone Armor to himself.

After entering the Instance, the Bone Armor constantly endured Flame Burn, and its strength had greatly diminished.

Moreover, the Lava Giant's Death Line skill was indeed powerful, pushing the Bone Armor to its limit.

"Not bad!"

Since it's already the final stage of the Instance, there's no need to hide anything.

He needed to finish the fight within ten minutes; three minutes had passed, leaving seven.

A slight shift of thought released all remaining Skeletons in an instant.

A total of 154 Skeleton Warriors and 72 Skeleton Mages—a truly massive Legion.

Sixteen Skeleton Warriors were damaged, twenty‑eight Fire-type Skeleton Mages could not act, slightly affecting total combat power.

Jiang Chen had already adjusted his mindset at this point.

As the Instance level rose and the Difficulty grew, Skeletons being damaged was inevitable.

Moreover, he had always been solo‑grinding beyond his level, making such things even harder to avoid.

He took a deep breath; the battle began.

Skeleton Warriors turned into balls of flame and rushed to the feet of the Lava Giant, each ignoring the flowing magma on its body, climbing up fearlessly.

They unleashed skills one after another.

The Skeleton Mage's spell attacks also slammed forward like a landslide and tsunami.

Jiang Chen was likewise not idle.

He opened with Slow Curse.

Then he kept using Soul Burn without pause.

He used every skill he could; there was no other way, he was short on time.

The Lava Giant, cursed, slowed noticeably.

However, it did not attack with a massive hand like the previous Gardener Giant had.

Death in the One‑eyed

The Death Line never ceased.

Death Line's power is great; hitting Skeleton Warriors, it can cause considerable damage.

At the same time it opened its mouth, magma churning endlessly inside.

Skill: Lava Jet!

Torrents of lava spewed from the huge mouth, the sky a blaze of fire, giving the illusion that lava would drown the Instance.

The erupted lava fell like a storm of rain.

The ground roared, its magnitude immense, triggering wave after wave of violent explosions.

The skill had a knock‑up effect; many Skeleton Warriors were blasted into the air.

Only the Skeleton Warriors clinging to its body, gripping tightly and bearing the scorching magma, kept attacking it.

Jiang Chen didn't know how strong the Lava Giant's vitality was; all he could do now was speed up and keep attacking.

His will also passed onto the Skeletons.

The Skeletons all accelerated.

The Skeleton Warriors that had been blasted away, undaunted by life or death, rushed back swiftly.

After that experience, they all learned to be smarter.

One by one they leapt, landing directly on the Lava Giant.

In the blink of an eye, the Lava Giant's body was covered with Skeleton Warriors.

The Skeleton Warriors battered the Lava Giant, making it howl.

Jiang Chen's Soul Burn likewise made it suffer excruciating pain.

Death Line stopped, and Lava Jet vanished without a trace.

Jiang Chen realized something was wrong.

The next second, the ground shook violently, like a magnitude‑10 earthquake.

Jiang Chen lost his footing for a moment, nearly falling.

The Lava Giant's entire body glowed, and the magma flowed several times faster than before.

Boom!

Magma shot skyward, exploding in the air and turning into a downpour of fire rain.

Skill: Volcanic Eruption!

Countless volcanoes erupted underground, continuously bursting.

The earth was instantly filled with flames

And.

The place where Jiang Chen stood was already covered in magma.

Bone Armor protected him, shielding him from harm.

The Skeleton Mage also stood in the magma, continuously taking damage.

Jiang Chen grew more anxious; under these circumstances, the first twenty summoned Skeleton Mages would not hold out.

The volcano kept erupting, and the fire rain kept...

... becoming denser, as if it would engulf the whole Instance.

Massive fire rain fell on the Lava Giant, and the violent shockwaves knocked many Skeleton Warriors off.

Although Slow Curse took effect, the Lava Giant never used ordinary attacks at all.

It always attacked with skills, and Slow Curse could not stop its abilities.

Skeleton Warriors continuously endured massive damage while attacking it like madmen.

The more Jiang Chen rushed, the more the Skeletons fought desperately.

Jiang Chen's Soul Burn in his hand was also being used nonstop.

Both sides fell back into a hard‑fought stalemate.

Time passed minute by minute.

It was clear the Skeleton Mage was about to collapse.

The first twenty summoned Skeleton Mages, their bodies riddled with cracks, hovered on the brink of destruction.

【121】 Ready to die at any moment.

However, the Lava Giant seemed to be reaching its limit.

It began to grow weak.

Even the flame on its single eye vanished.

The magma flowing over its body became faint, revealing its black stone form.

The Skeleton Warrior's Blade struck it, shattering the stone.

Soul Burn brought it with unbearable pain.

Finally, its body began to collapse.

Chunks of stone fell down.

"Die!"

Jiang Chen let out a low voice.

With a thunderous roar, the Lava Giant finally collapsed.

"Killed the Lava Giant..."

After the Lava Giant's death, the exit from the Instance

appeared simultaneously.

Jiang Chen immediately chose to leave the Instance, without even looking at the prompt.

This Instance made him feel exhausted.
