Chapter 570
"Aren't we supposed to retrieve the evidence?" Su Su Tuoni Stark glanced at the few unfamiliar S. H. I. E. L. D. agents before him, raising the briefcase containing Loki's scepter.
Inside is actually the Mind Stone.
"Lumley and the others have been assigned to search-and-rescue duties," Steve Rogers said to Su Su Tuoni Stark with solemnity:
"Thank you for your technology, Su Su Tuoni."
"No need to thank me, Captain." Su Su Tuoni Stark stepped into the elevator and raised his hand to stop the green giant behind him:
"No no no, Hulk, take the stairs—this elevator's already full."
A massive fistprint appeared on the closing elevator doors; only the superior quality of Stark Industries' elevators prevented it from jamming halfway up a hundred-story shaft.
"You should eat some chocolate sauce to boost your brain sugar!" Su Su Tuoni Stark shouted, regardless of whether Hulk could hear him.
Another item was added to the Stark Tower maintenance list.
"Su Su Tuoni, don't you really need to go back and rest?" Steve Rogers looked at Su Su Tuoni Stark, his tone filled with concern:
"I heard you threw a pool party the other day—maybe you fell onto the chest of some vibranium girl."
Puff—!
Su Su Tuoni Stark, wrapped in bandages, turned to look behind him; the S. H. I. E. L. D. agents and Thor were barely holding back their laughter.
"Sorry, I just wanted to lighten the mood."
Steve Rogers smiled.
"Actually, I must correct you—it wasn't vibranium, it was adamantium."
Su Su Tuoni Stark spoke through the gaps in his bandages: "I fell onto the chest of an adamantium girl."
Last night I got drunk, passed out in the materials storage, stepped wrong, and smashed my head into the MK-50 adamantium-model armor.
"That must've hurt," Thor raised an eyebrow.
Su Su Tuoni rubbed his neck. "Ugh… just a stiff neck."
During the elevator's descent to the first floor, the small space remained lively—except for the God of Lies, whose mouth was stuffed with a mechanical gag and who was not happy.
"Seriously, are you okay?" Steve glanced at Su Su Tuoni's chest. "I heard there's an issue with your Arc Reactor."
"Yeah, there was an issue," Su Su Tuoni began to recall.
The life-sustaining virtual reactor lost its open wound port and could no longer be inserted into the chest; I spent two hours modifying it into a portable wireless power bank.
No palladium, sticks to the chest and regulates body temperature—warm in winter, cool in summer—and contains a medium-sized compartment to store spare armors.
Su Su Tuoni nodded: "Don't worry, it's fixed."
"Good," Steve gave Su Su Tuoni's back a light pat.
Su Su Tuoni Stark had to admit, deceiving an honest man was a sin—but God should forgive him, since his intentions were good.
I'll ask him later.
"Amen."
Ding—!
The metal elevator doors slowly opened, revealing a field agent standing with his hands behind his back, loafing—his height nearly matched Su Su Tuoni Stark's.
"Hey, turn around," Su Su Tuoni Stark called out.
The person was a Black woman with a flattened nose and thick lips; she blinked in surprise and pointed at herself.
"Sorry."
Su Su Tuoni raised his hand and continued walking forward, scratching his slightly itchy chin.
According to the script of "Avengers 4: Kill You Three Thousand Times," Su Su Tuoni must die.
If that guy back there was future Su Su Tuoni Stark, then from this moment on, a tiny, size-shifting elf mouse would crawl into my Arc Reactor.
Then, roughly ten seconds later, I'd suffer cardiac arrhythmia from having my plug pulled.
Thank goodness it wasn't that timeline—otherwise, the ten billion volts leaking from the power bank would instantly—
Zzzzz—
Su Su Tuoni Stark felt as if he'd swallowed a pot of concentrated mint water; that sharp, refreshing sensation reminded him of a drink commercial he'd seen on another Earth—
"Ice-cold, soul soaring."
"It's only been two seconds—ummm—"
Violent current engulfed Stark's entire body, causing the ceiling lights to flicker.
"Su Su Tuoni, are you alright?"
"Hnnnghhh—mmmm!"
Su Su Tuoni couldn't answer—he was rigid with muscle spasms from the electric shock, while a sharp, piercing pain spread across his skin.
His body, strengthened by daily meals at Emiya's home-cooked cuisine, and the latent energy within it—untrained, slowly leaking away—
Under near-instantaneous instinct, under the agony, he reflexively unleashed it!
Simultaneously activating the nanobots implanted behind his neck—designed to stimulate nerves and trigger conditioned combat responses.
Support hand, full hand, inner grip hand, three-circle hand—zero-frame opening!
Single knee elbow, horizontal elbow, straight elbow—lock the big elbow!
Chain inch-power strikes—Ri Zi punch!
I can still fight ten more!
Papatapata—
Whether the automated combo input by friends helping with motion capture, or Su Su Tuoni's instinctive counterattack under stress—
All happened in the blink of an eye, within mere seconds.
When everything settled, Su Su Tuoni Stark stared blankly at the Ant-Man lying on the floor, then slowly unclenched his fists.
He gasped heavily, watching the smoking, twitching Ant-Man, helplessly asking:
Are you okay?
Su Su Tuoni Stark immediately crouched down, trying to lift up the guy whose chest rose and fell weakly, with red liquid seeping through his suit.
"Oh God, what the hell is this again?" Su Su Tuoni Stark tried to remove the man's mask, unable to stop cursing: "It's been this many days, and you still don't know how to ring the doorbell?!"
When he saw the man's suit, Su Su Tuoni Stark's heart sank halfway.
I literally brought this Ant-Man from the future to the present just to borrow the Infinity Stones, and I've crippled him, okay?
Looks like he's about to die.
This guy reeked of charred meat—the intense electric current had not only restored him from microscopic size back to normal, but also left him at least medium-well done.
"Hey! Hold on!!!"
"Su Su Tuoni, what the hell is going on?!"
"No time to explain, Thor, help me hold him!"
Su Su Tuoni Stark glanced at the 'LED reactor power bank' clutched tightly in the man's hand, pried open his fingers, and had his nanotech gauntlet materialize as he prepared to retrieve medical supplies.
"Help me take off his mask."
Su Su Tuoni glanced at the Cosmic Cube safe box lying not far away—Steve had just picked it up and was staring at him, bewildered and astonished.
After a quick look at Loki, who was frowning in thought, Su Su Tuoni's throat moved slightly; he opened his mouth, then finally refocused on the man before him.
"Hurry."
Thor immediately stepped forward and crouched, noticing the helmet on the man's head was deformed and stuck around his neck; he gripped both sides with both hands and gritted his teeth, pulling hard.
Crack!
The helmet split in half and fell to the ground.
"Believe me, do you even know who you are?!"
Before him was a Black man spitting blood, around twenty years old, his pupils dilated—he clearly couldn't answer.
The Black Ant-Man glanced with the corner of his eye at the rune dagger on the ground, its surface riddled with cracks, his eyes filled with confusion.
"Doctor!" "Where's the medical team?!"
The SHIELD Secretary-General was shouting, but there was no time to waste now.
Su Su Tuoni Stark had no time to care about how this racial-equality Ant-Man ended up like this—he pulled out a small metal box, removed a capsule, and prepared to feed it to the man.
But at that moment, Steve let out a groan, clutching his wrist and crying out loudly:
"What's going on?!"
Another twist occurred—the box containing the Cosmic Cube slipped from Steve's hands and began moving on its own, racing at high speed toward the emergency exit.
The armor's helmet automatically covered Su Su Tuoni Stark's head; in his scanning vision, he saw a tiny figure carrying the briefcase moving at incredible speed.
Is this a second Ant-Man?!
A gust of wind surged beside Su Su Tuoni Stark, accompanied by rapid footsteps.
He turned around—it was Steve, snatching up the briefcase that had just been beside Su Su Tuoni Stark, sprinting toward the outside of Stark Tower at top speed.
"Captain?!"
Su Su Tuoni Stark looked back and forth, watching the briefcase "escape" in two opposite directions, feeling his head spin.
What the hell is going on with this plot right now?!
Are you just leaving this Black Ant-Man alone?!
As Steve Rogers and the other Ant-Man, holding the Cosmic Cube, began to vanish into the distance, SHIELD agents finally snapped into action and gave chase.
"Maybe I should return to Asgard first?" Thor still wanted to say something.
But the next instant, Thor's eyes snapped to Loki—he stood up, swung his hammer backward, and smashed it down.
Under Loki's horrified gaze, a black-smoke-formed spear aimed at Loki's skull shattered under Thor's strike.
He grabbed Loki's sleeve and yanked him backward; lightning from the hammer shot toward the ceiling, and a patch of black mist—appearing out of nowhere—retreated rapidly, crackling with electricity.
A charred Chitauri corpse landed on the ground.
Farther away, at the corner, the Cosmic Cube briefcase was snatched up by a Black female agent with a flattened nose.
She flicked her finger, launching the Ant-Man beneath her into the air; the Ant-Man instantly returned to normal size and crashed into the pursuing agents, turning the scene into a chaotic bowling alley.
The flattened-nose Black female agent smirked triumphantly, then picked up a device resembling a handheld game console.
Su Su Tuoni Stark's pupils contracted—he had a bad feeling: "Stop..."
Boom—!
The emergency staircase door burst open with tremendous force, flinging the female agent backward; a giant green foot landed on the ground.
"Hulk! Ugh! Use the stairs!"
The Cosmic Cube flew out of the briefcase and slid neatly to Su Su Tuoni Stark's feet.
Should I just kick it over to that guy beside me?
Sensing Su Su Tuoni Stark's gaze, Loki, who had been staring fixedly at the Cosmic Cube, looked away, feigning indifference as he scanned the surroundings.
Su Su Tuoni Stark was about to pick up the Cosmic Cube, but the Black Ant-Man lying beside him suddenly bled from his eyes; his limbs twisted in impossible, bone-defying positions.
In the process, his face and physique transformed into a completely different white male.
But this white male had shriveled skin, missing teeth, pale complexion, and his entire body rotted, radiating the stench of death.
This was a... zombie!
"Flesh... Su Su Tuoni, you smell so good," the zombie pleaded: "Let me bite you... please, just one bite..."
Meanwhile, the Ant-Man who had been flung like a bowling ball slowly rose to his feet, staring blankly at the zombie, removing his helmet to reveal a face nearly identical to the zombie's.
"What the hell?" The Ant-Man stepped back two paces in terror.
The zombie-Ant-Man couldn't move; seeing Su Su Tuoni Stark ignored him, he turned his gaze toward the crowd gathered outside Stark Tower:
"So much flesh... good, they left me a little... the power of Galactus."
The zombie-ant man emitted a silver glow, and at the very moment Su Su Tuoni Stark raised his armor's hand cannon to fire a laser, a bolt of lightning shot out like thunder.
Steve, carrying his briefcase, had just reached the middle of the road when he seemed to sense something.
Steve turned his head and saw Scott, his flesh rotting, opening his mouth wide to bite his neck.
He tried to throw his shield, but thick black mist clung to it.
Everything seemed to slow down; the zombie-ant man, starved for so long, his eyes filled with complex emotion, was about to drink blood.
"Next, another cycle begins."
In this instant, the instinctual satisfaction about to be fulfilled gave the zombie-ant man a moment to recall his past.
This living Captain America is only the beginning; soon I shall feast greedily, and not a single one of these bystanders will escape.
Oh right, I should eat Stark first—his flesh and blood smell delicious.
Then the S. H. I. E. L. D. agents and Thor, and finally these civilians.
Tourists all dressed in ugly shirts—only the Chinese tour groups would do something like this, afraid their customers might get lost, like a bunch of children.
How pitiful—they run in panic, just like children.
"Thank you, Captain."
The zombie-ant man, torn in conflict, launched himself without mercy—
Boom—!
He crashed heavily to the ground.
The zombie-ant man's head had become a sphere, rolling gurgling off his neck onto the cement road, his rotating eyes blank and confused, as if he couldn't understand what had happened.
Steve saw that terrifying head, identical to Scott's, land among the group of tourists in blue shirts.
His toothless, rotting mouth was still open, about to bite the foot of a black-haired youth yawning nearby.
"Watch out!"
Steve was about to rush forward when he saw the black-haired youth walking toward a nearby vending machine; as he lifted his leg, he accidentally kicked the zombie's head.
Gurgling, gurgling
The head rolled again onto the road.
Beep-beep—!
A tour bus, honking its horn, rolled right over it, instantly splattering the road with red and white.
